📝 - TAKE NOTES !
I only write for neteyam until I get requests about another character
not you saying you won’t age up character or do smut yet write a sexual tension shit ☠️
PLEASE READ! (I think I speak for all authors when I say this)
Why are y’all so mad about the fact that I, a minor, don’t want to write smut about minors? It’s actually creepy and uncomfortable. Sexual tension means tension between two people that aren’t lovers yet but know they both want each other—the word “sexual” doesn’t always equal smut or lust. I can’t believe I even have to explain this. Saying this anonymously to complain about how I disagree to write smut about minors and trying to pin me as a hypocrite is so pathetic. I had three people calling me disgusting and a pedophile when I’ve never wrote smut nor anything leading up to it. I don’t care if a minor wants to write smut, you do you. Me, personally, I don’t want to. It’s uncomfortable. And it’s so weird when adults request minors aged up to request plots like smut and pregnancy. That’s why I don’t allow requesting aged up characters.
I was a fanfic author on Wattpad, @/honeyshoyo. My fanfics blew up and I got a lot of reads, but I had so many comments disrespecting my culture, my language, or hating in general, so I just quit writing.
I came onto tumblr because I wanted to start fresh away from Wattpad, seeing all the minifics and oneshots and amazing authors on here, but seeing these type of comments so early on into the start of this account is honestly concerning. Writing becomes not fun anymore when people on the internet who don’t even know me try to paint me as a pedophile or a hypocrite. It’s annoying and disgusting.
If you’re an author, I beg of you to repost this because I know damn well I’m not the only one EXHAUSTED of this unnecessary hate.
summary: you and neteyam just don’t get along. but when the threat of no longer seeing each other comes to light, you both come to realise your true feelings, but it could be too late.

notes: angst, fluff, mean/sad/angry boy neteyam.

If there was one thing you had learnt throughout your time with the Sully family, it was that hating someone was a lot like loving them.
You were a part of the Omaticaya clan, lead by none other than Jake Sully, who had taken you under his wing after the death of your parents and sister. You had grown particularly close to his children, Lo’ak, Kiri and Tuk. There was also Neteyam, but you couldn’t exactly say you were close with the boy.
Actually, you and Neteyam were closer to enemies than friends. You both had clashing personalities. You were more like Lo’ak, chasing trouble and sometimes causing it, whereas he was the perfect son, always following the rules and giving you and Lo’ak a hard time when you broke them.
He didn’t understand your attraction to impulsivity, to living on the edge, and you didn’t understand his resistance to it. To sum it up, you both made each others lives a little more difficult.
When Jake had assigned you, Lo’ak and Neteyam as lookouts for the train heist, you were both excited and honoured that you were being allowed to sit in on your first mission. Unfortunately, that decision came with a thorough lecture from the eldest Sully son.
Neteyam grabbed you by the elbow - grip soft enough to not hurt you, but still with some assertion to it, and pulled you along with him, grabbing Lo’ak by the ear at the same time and pulling him along for the ride.
“Bro, what the hell?” Lo’ak exclaimed, and just as you shook your arm from Neteyam’s grasp, he came to a halt.
“I need you two to be on your best behaviour tomorrow. Seriously, Dad will skin me alive if you two skxawngs do anything to mess this up!” Neteyam stood just before you and Lo’ak, head tilted down slightly to meet your eyes. “No riding off. No involving yourself where you are not supposed to. No messing with the ikran’s. None of that. Do you understand?”
You and Lo’ak look to each other, and you bite your lip to stop the smirk threatening to inch it’s way across your face. You look back at Neteyam, who is peering down at you with pure annoyance.
“Lo’ak, did you hear what Dad- I mean Neteyam said?” You look back towards Lo’ak who’s now smirking, and you hear Neteyam scoff loudly.
You look back to Neteyam, rolling your eyes. “Yes, sir,” you mock, knowing he hated to be called sir. “We will be on our best behaviour.”
His eyes narrow at you, you could practically see the frustration radiating off him, and you’d be lying if you said it didn’t make you a little nervous. After a long moment, he shakes his head, looking a little dejected before sauntering off towards the forest.
Guilt bubbles it’s way up your stomach and to your throat so fast that it almost spills out of your mouth in excessive apologies, but Lo’ak is grabbing your wrist and pulling you in the opposite direction, no doubt towards some trouble.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
You watched in awe at the scene below you. The train had been completely derailed in seconds, ending in explosions and fire, but you could still hear the war cries of your people.
“Bro,” Lo’ak swivelled his head toward you and Neteyam, keeping his ikran steady. You knew just by the look on his face that he was about to suggest something really stupid. “We have got to get down there!”
Neteyam immediately shook his head. “No way, Dad would skin us!” He yelled. You could see how stressed he was.
You loved trouble. Especially with a tiny bit of controlled danger on the side. But this was plain stupid. The Olo’eyktan had given the three of you direct orders, and this wasn’t some silly prank you and Lo’ak could do in the forest. This was real life. It was too dangerous.
“Lo’ak, no! Listen to your brother.” You swerve your ikran into him a little, and he gives you only a mischievous smile in return, before quickly descending down towards the fire.
“Lo’ak!” You and Neteyam yell in unison as you turn your ikran, ready to follow him down and make sure he doesn’t get himself killed, but Neteyam calls your name to stop you.
“You, stay here. One skxawng down there is enough!” He yells at you, before he is accelerating toward the scene, leaving you alone with your anger.
You try to get Lo’ak to listen, and this is how Neteyam reacts. With a war cry and a lift of your bow, you follow the two boys into the fiery pits of hell.
It didn’t end well.
After the explosion that sent you flying, you limped through the debris, still carrying your broken bow in search of Lo’ak or Neteyam.
You easily recognise the back of Neteyam’s head, and your heart drops as his body remains unmoving. “Neteyam?” You mumble, almost in a daze as you drop to your knees next to him, rolling him onto his back. You gasp when you see he is still alive, and Jake shows up immediately after.
He grabs onto Neteyam, checking him for wounds. “What are you doing here, boy? What the hell were you two thinking?” He yells, before throwing Neteyam over his shoulder who was mumbling away his apologies.
“Jake! Jake! Where’s Lo’ak, is he okay?” You grab onto his shoulder as he begins rushing off, ignoring how Neteyam’s groans of pain made your heart ache.
“He’s fine, he left. Can you ride?” He asks you, and you simply nod in return before calling your ikran, quickly fleeing the scene and dreading how much trouble you’re about to be in.
You make it back a little after the Sully’s as you stopped a few times to help the wounded, but you immediately land and run to their hut as best as you can despite the blood oozing from your leg.
“Y/N!” Tuk sees you first, and she immediately jumps up to hug you, your arms wrapping around her in return.
“Hi, Tuk Tuk.” You smile, looking up and making eye contact with Neteyam who was groaning in pain at his grandmothers roughness. Your smile immediately disappears, and you can feel the animosity.
Kiri also greets you with a hug, before expressing concern over the wound on your leg. You tell her she can patch you up after Neteyam, and you manage to catch Lo’ak’s eye, who has been trying not to look at you since you got back.
You charge over to him, and he looks up at you guiltily. “Lo’ak. That was stupid. You could’ve been killed!” You tell him firmly, before pulling him onto a hug, closing your eyes in relief that no one had been hurt.
“Y/N, I need to talk to you.” Neteyam’s voice has you turning around to face his back that was protruding from the hut.
You and Lo’ak share a look of confusion, but you follow Neteyam out anyway, until you’re away from anyone who could hear you.
He spins around to face you after a few seconds, and the look on his face is pure torment. “You are hurt.” His eyes drop down to your leg, and you subconsciously place your hand over the blood, wincing a little.
“I am fine. You are hurt worse.” You point out, and he moves his hands to his hips, sighing down at the ground before meeting your eye again.
“Lo’ak is lucky to be alive. I told the both of you not to mess this up, and look what happened. Lo’ak is grounded, you are hurt and I am in deep shit with my Dad.”
“Hey, I tried to stop him. I did not encourage him to do what he did.” You furrow your eyebrows, taking a defensive stance.
“He is always trying to impress you! And you encourage him.” Neteyam raises his voice a little and you squint your eyes at him, ears turning down.
“He is trying to live up to you, Neteyam! He sees you are perfect son, this is very hard on him too.” You defend Lo’ak, because people rarely do, and this seems to anger Neteyam more.
“You should not speak. You do not know what it is like to have a family you must protect.” He blurts out, and you feel your face drop at his venomous words. Your heart seems to beat through your chest, and judging by the look on Neteyam’s face, he knows he has struck a cord.
You feel the tears well up in your eyes, but you are not going to stand in front of him and cry. Your tail wraps around your own leg and you drop your eyes from his before storming off, making sure to bump his shoulder on the way.
“Y/N!” He calls, but you ignore him. When you heard his footsteps coming towards you, you spin around to hiss, tears spilling onto your cheeks.
He holds his hands up in surrender, guilty look plastered on his face, but you didn’t care. He had crossed a line, and it was going to take a lot to forgive that.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Being held hostage by the sky people was one of the scariest things you’ve ever experienced. You didn’t care so much about what could happen to you, but you were all there. Lo’ak, Tuk, Kiri and Spider.
“Mawey, Tuk, Mawey.” Kiri’s attempts at soothing Tuk were shot down rather quickly when the soldier holding her yanked on her hair, causing her to yelp.
“Don’t touch her!” Spider screams, although slightly muffled due to your hiss and struggle in another’s soldiers grasp.
You’re not sure how it happened. At one point you could hear Neytiri’s calls through the wind, and the next, multiple soldiers were dead and you were all fleeing, dodging bullets and arrows and wondering arms of the soldiers.
Unbeknownst to you, a bullet was seconds away from being fired at your head, and Neteyam jumped to knock you out of the way, landing on top of you. You had managed to land on your knife, and it barely pierced the skin of your back, but it was enough for you to scream in pain.
Neteyam clamps his hand over your mouth, using his strong weight to keep your writhing body still. “You’re okay, you’re okay.” He whispers, signalling for you to be silent as he removes his hand from your mouth. He releases some of his way to roll you onto your side and observe your wound. He winces, using his hand to apply pressure to your wound, and tears fall down your cheeks. “I know, I know. Just stay quiet. It’s okay.”
You both freeze like that for a few moments, waiting for the guns to stop. He’s looking away, but you admire the sparking dots on his face, like stars in the dark sky. Water dripping from his eyelashes and hair. You’re worried how natural this feels. How good it feels to be close to him. You feel the remnants of a smile on your face, but it’s quickly wiped away when everything goes silent. Neteyam looks around, clearing the area.
“Can you walk?” He asks, finally looking at you and you nod vigorously as you allow him to help you up. He holds your hand through the rain and the forest, only letting go to push you onto his ikran. He jumps in front of you and you wrap an arm around his waist and the other hand grips onto his ikran, riding off through the rain after Neytiri and Jake.
Shortly after returning, you find out Spider was captured, and you spend the remainder of the night comforting and crying with Kiri, heart aching over the absence of your human friend.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The morning after, you arrive at the Sully’s hut, but it is mostly empty. Neteyam is the only one still there, with a basket of items in his hands, ionar on his forehead.
You furrow your eyebrows, suddenly getting a sick feeling in your stomach.
“Where is everyone?” You ask, and Neteyam jumps at the sound of your voice. He quickly looks away from you, continuing with whatever he was doing.
The two of you haven’t really spoken since what he said about your family, and you couldn’t really count the night before because it wasn’t exactly a conversation.
“Preparing the ikran’s.” He states simply, scanning over the fully empty hut before making his way past you.
“Ikran’s for what? Where is all your stuff? Why are you carrying a basket of Tuk’s toys?” You question, quickening your pace to catch up to him. Your heart was pounding in your ears, you felt you were on the verge of a panic attack, and Neteyam was purposely being discreet.
“For our journey. We are leaving the Omaticaya clan.”
You stop in your tracks, mouth open to say something, but nothing comes out. Your throat aches as you swallow down a lump. Neteyam must sense your lack of reaction, because he spins around with a stone cold expression.
“Last night, that was not random. The sky people have come back and they are after my father. We must leave to keep the people safe.”
You place a hand over your forehead, feeling the tears prick at the back of your eyes. “What about me? I have no family. Jake would not leave without me.” Your voice is shaky and unconvincing.
“He was going to bring you. I advised him not to.” Neteyam fidgets with the basket in his hand, looking down at it to avoid your broken stare.
“You hate me that much? You hate me so much you are taking the closest thing to a family I have?” You yell, making your way over to him and shoving him by his chest. He falls back a step but quickly recovers.
“No, that is not why-“
“You are lying!” You cry, holding your hands over your eyes in an attempt to comprehend what the hell was happening. “How could you do this to me, Neteyam? What did I do to make you hate me so mu-“
“I do not hate you, Y/N!” He raises his voice, dropping the basket of toys and taking a step closer to you. “I do not hate you. I pretend to because it is so much easier.” His voice cracks at the end, and he drops his head, taking deep breaths in.
“Easier than what?” You demand, arms wrapping around your own body to give yourself a hug, as if that could stop the shattering of your heart. He remains silent, just staring at the ground. You grab his chin with one of your hands, lifting it until your eyes meet.
“Easier than what, Neteyam?” You whisper, frowning at his watery eyes.
“Easier than wanting you.”
Your hands drops from his face and it falls to your own heart. “What are you saying, Neteyam?” You ask him softly, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.
He takes a deep breath in. Kicks a rock on the ground. “I am saying I do not hate you. It is the opposite. I told my father not to bring you because it will put you in too much danger. You have already been hurt so much because of us, and I cannot watch you be hurt anymore.” He explains, and you feel your heart mend a little.
“Neteyam, it is not your decision to make for me.” You cup his cheek with your hand, and he leans into your touch, squeezing his eyes shut.
“I love you too much to put you in danger. I’m sorry.” He moves a hand to your own cheek, placing a long, delicate kiss on your forehead, and then he’s walking away, basket of toys in one hand, your heart in the other.

`✦ ˑ ִֶ 𓂃⊹..
you were lost in a big, dangerous forest. And you had a couple of marks and scratches here and there. in your clan your known as the brave and risky one..but youll never admit that you're terrified right now. Everything looked the same, there were no paths just wild life. Night was setting and you can get attacked by anything anytime right now.. but then suddenly you hear someone or something stepping on a branch. You turn around quickly, holding your knife in your hand with heavy breathe.
oh eywa..
the creature reveals himself and- a boy? your instincts tell you to hiss at him so you do, tail flicking in a protective stance..but its just out of shock and fear. The boy dosent react and tilts his head to the side, probably wondering where you even came from. He notices your tail movements and your posture, you teeth were sharper than usual. You seemed a bit more animalistic than the other na'vi. This was ometecayia property, his hand was on his knife aswell just in case youll attack but..he was gentle with you because you guys looked the same age.
'..are you alright?' he asks, his voice curious but genuinely concerned when he sees your scars and blood
You dont answer just nod slowly ..
'where did you come from?' he asks, referring to your clan and how you got here. He was serious.
'.. tarayngi" you mumble..a bit embarrassed that you got lost, your ears pointing down
'im Neteyam, ometecayia.' he says with a small smile , he can tell your nervous and scared so hes trying to be easy on you but in reality hes just as shocked as you are.
'do you need help? '
'im alright.' you say, even tho you needed the help. You need food, water, shelter. A safe place.
It was silent for a second, but the boy didnt believe you one bit.
'you seem injured .'
You gulp.
'here, let me take you to our clan.' he softly grabs your hand..and you hesitate.
'please, trust me. i wont hurt you'
Your eyes stare into his..you nod. I mean what could go wrong? Hes just a boy that seems around the same age as you and is friendly.
You and neteyam enter the village and he brings you to his father.
'dad- sir i found a lost girl.' he says, switching the name he calls his own father (sorry yall☹️.)
After explaining what happened, Jake and Neytiri let you stay for a night and tomorrow they'll bring you back home. You felt relived that you didn't have to spend the night in a dangerous forest alone.
'do you need tsahik?' neteyam tilts his head at you with a soft look
'no- im fine..' you say, tail flicking a bit.
night finally comes, the sky getting dark but being brighten up with the millions of stars. You were excited for tomorrow, to go home..but theres one problem.
There arent any mauri or hammocks left.
'shit- uhm.' neteyam mumbles to himself
'..there arent any hammocks left.'
Your eyes widen slightly..
'oh' you stand there akwaradly, not sure what to say
Jake, neteyams father then walks in and looks at neteyam then you
'sorry but you two will have to sleep next to each other ' jake says, his voice calm..as if its not a big deal and then leaves.
what in mother eywa. I cant sleep next to someone i barely know. Neteyam turns his head to look at you
'hey, if youd like i can sleep on the floor' he says, he didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable.
You wanted to say yes but you felt bad. Hes done so much for you just for him to sleep on a cold hard floor
'no- its alright. Youll get cold'
you say, your voice hoarse.
Neteyam smiles at you , finding you gesture generous
'okay.'
You both get in the hammock, luckily it was pretty big so it could fit two people. You bodies were akwaradly pretty close..you turn to the other side.
'goodnight, teyam.' you say..you already gave him a nickname. a smile creeps on his face at the name.
thats cute..
he thinks before replying
'goodnight.' he says back, turning to the other side
note! : this is my first ever fanfic so be easy on me please 😭 dont really like this broo

Neteyam was soft. His hands were smooth, his chest was like a pillow and his cheeks felt so good to caress.
other than the outside, hes also soft on the inside . He would always be there for you, give you gifts and take care of you when you had hard times, he was just..soft.
One time you werent feeling good and you kept throwing up. Neteyam would never be grossed out, instead he keeps your hair out of the way, his fingers acting like a hairband and whispers sweet things to you to make you feel okay and safe.
'oh..i know. ' he said quietly like a whisper, rubbing your back as you were whining in pain after each gag .
'its over soon yawntu..' he petted the back your head, scratching it.
or you two would go on trips together like ikran dates , sneaking out , climbing trees and just having a good time together. you guys always would forget the time and next thing you know you wake up to see your head on neteyam soft chest, together on the forest floor, asleep.
"Neteyam we should head back..-" you mumble to him but he just responses in a small groan and pulls you closer, wanting to feel your comforting warmth.
"Our parents will be mad !!" You whisper yell, you guys both know what consequences there are. "They can wait.." he says quietly, but clearly.
