hii ! i could i request a quick one shot ? nabi was stressed from the comeback thats coming up and went back to vaping . the members found out a while later and when they confronted her about it , she snapped like never before and had a fight with seungkwan , one that was too intense . she left the dorm and the following days , more frustration and arguments occured and she gave them the cold shoulder and silent treatment for a while until wonwoo or jeonghan decided to talk to her and fix things out. its okay if u dont wanna do it tho !

Normally, Nabi was the guys' pocket sized mood booster—exaggeratedly singing and rapping other member's parts, conjuring silly dance moves, showering the guys in affection, or simply by existing for them to coo at and squeal because "her cuteness is too much to handle".
Even when her own energy was low, she somehow managed to brighten the room.
But there were rare days when the weight of everything caught up to her.
And on those days, Nabi simply curls up on the floor in the corner of the practice room. Hoodie pulled over her head, legs tucked in, and her cheek squished against a folded jacket. Barely moving. Just a small, tired lump of maknae.
She didn't whine. She didn't ask for anything.
But Joshua noticed.
He always did.
At first, it was a cold cup of coffee. Then a small bag of sweet bread. Then a cute hot pack in the shape of a peach. Nabi barely registered them at first—just gave him a small, sleepy "thank you, oppa", before quietly nibbling or hugging whatever item he'd handed her.
It became a routine.
Joshua would enter the room with a drink or snack in hand, and without needing to say a word, he'd place it next to her before joining the others.
Until one day, Seungkwan finally broke.
“I'm just saying,” he said, arms crossed as he watched Joshua kneel beside Nabi with a warm melonppang that definitely cost more than a humble side dish should. “Would anyone get me a seven thousand won pastry if I pass out during practice?”
“Chōmi's the baby,” Minghao added, not even looking up from his phone. “We're not cute enough.”
“I'm cute,” Mingyu muttered.
Joshua didn't even engage. He crouched beside Nabi and gently rubbed her cheek with the back of his knuckles, brushing off crumbs before giving her a slow, deliberate head pat like she was his beloved sleepy kitten.
“She's cute,” he said, smiling faintly. “And she needs it.”
Nabi blinked up at him through half-lidded eyes, a bit of bread still in her mouth. She barely processed the conversation, too focused on chewing her way through a carb-induced revival.
The boys groaned. Joshua simply offered her a mini banana milk.
“Here. Drink this too.”
The guys groaned jokingly as they watch Joshua offer her a bottle of banana milk, straw in and all.
From that point on, the rest of the members stopped competing. Because clearly, Joshua had chosen his favourite—and no amount of complaints could stop him from spoiling her to pieces.
It was the day after a particularly intense choreography run when Joshua found her, curled up against the mirrored wall of the practice room.
Nabi sat quietly, knees drawn close, tugging absentmindedly at the corner of a water bottle label. Her hair clung to her cheeks, damp with sweat, and the sleeves of her hoodie were stretched over her hands again. Her usual spark still lingered—just softer now, flickering beneath heavy limbs and slower blinks.
Joshua approached without a word, crouching beside her until his shoulder brushed lightly against hers.
“Chōmi-ya,” he murmured, voice low and meant only for her. “Are you free tomorrow?”
She smiled faintly, eyes lifting to meet his. “Tomorrow?”
He nodded, a gentle grin tugging at the corner of his lips. “You don't have anything scheduled, right? No shoots? No fittings?”
She shook her head slowly. “Just vocal training… but I can move it.”
“I already did,” he said, brushing a stray piece of lint off her shoulder like it had any right to be there. “Talked to your vocal coach this morning.”
She tilted her head, more curious now than tired. “Why? Where are we going?”
Joshua shifts to fully seat beside her, legs stretched out in front of him as he leaned back on his hands.
“Just out,” he said with an easy smile. “A little Joshua and Chōmi day.”
She squinted up at him. “Why?”
“Do I need a reason?”
He looked down at her—shoulders hunched, lashes low, hoodie sleeves tugged over fingers—and his eyes softened.
Nabi simply let out a quiet sigh and leaned her cheek against his arm.
“Chōmi-ya! Shua's here!”
Seungcheol's voice rang through the dorm unit, casual and bright. He leaned lazily against the doorframe, one hand tucked in his pocket, the other motioning toward the front where Joshua stood waiting with his usual quiet smile and a canvas tote slung over his shoulder.
Inside, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed down the hallway. Nabi appeared a second later, peeking from behind Jeonghan, who was crouched in front of her, fussing with something in his hands.
“Wait,” Jeonghan said, carefully adjusting the oversized jacket she was wearing. “It might get chilly later.”
Then, without warning, he reached up and plopped a black bucket hat on her head, tilting it just so before stepping back to admire his handiwork.
“There. Perfect.”
“I look like a mushroom,” Nabi muttered, puffing out her cheeks.
“A very cute one,” Jeonghan grinned, giving her a wink and a gentle push toward the door.
The moment she stepped outside, Joshua's expression brightened, eyes twinkling as they landed on her.
“You ready?”
“Mhm!” She nodded, her tiny shoulder bag swaying as she stepped forward. Almost instinctively, her hand found the edge of his sleeve, holding onto it loosely as they began to walk.
It was a quiet late morning—breezy and bright. The kind of day that felt like the world had hit pause, just for a moment. They took the quieter streets behind the main roads, the ones lined with quaint shops and small stalls, sunlight slipping through the gaps between low buildings.
No fans. No noise. Just their sneakers brushing against the pavement and the comfort of each other's presence.
“You didn't have coffee yet, have you?” Joshua asked, slowing as they passed a quiet café with a sunny little bench out front.
Nabi shook her head, and before she could even respond, he was already stepping inside. He returned a few minutes later with two drinks, holding one out to her.
“Iced Spanish latte with hazelnut syrup,” he said with a soft smile. “You always go for the plain one, so I thought we could switch it up today.”
They sipped in comfortable silence, wandering aimlessly until a display outside a cozy accessory shop caught Nabi's attention.
She paused, eyes drawn to a row of ribbon hair clips in soft pastels and cream. “These are so cute…” she murmured, mostly to herself, reaching out to touch one.
But Joshua had already stepped forward.
Without a word, he gently took the bucket hat off her head and tucked it into his tote bag.
“Uh... oppa?” she blinked at him, confused.
“Hold still,” he said, voice low and careful as he swept her hair behind her ears. His fingers were gentle, patient, as he clipped the ribbons into place.
She stood still beneath his touch, caught off guard, her cheeks slowly warming.
Then—click.
She looked up just in time to see Joshua lowering his phone, a tiny smile playing on his lips.
“Don't you just look adorable,” he teased, reaching for his wallet before she could protest.
It wasn't long before they ducked into a quiet little bookstore.
The shop was one of those tucked away gems with overhead lights that glowed a little too warm with the faintest scent of paper and dust lingering in the air. The aisles were narrow, the shelves crammed full, and every corner seemed to hold a precarious tower of discounted volumes waiting to tumble.
Joshua wandered off toward the poetry section, mumbling something about finding a book he heard about months ago, while Nabi made her way to the manga displays by the front window.
She scanned the shelves quietly, eyes flicking over familiar spines and glossy covers, until a new horror-thriller caught her eye. The art was striking—jagged lines, deep shadows, characters whose eyes seemed to follow you from the page. She gently picked it up, carefully flipping through a few pages as if not to disturb the eerie atmosphere trapped in the panels.
After a while, she wandered toward another display, then browsed aimlessly a bit more before deciding she'd seen enough for today. With her hands tucked into the sleeves of her jacket and her shoulder bag lightly swaying at her side, Nabi made her way toward the entrance and waited quietly by the door.
It didn't take long. Her head perked up at the sound of footsteps—Joshua, now with a small paper bag in hand.
“Ooh! What'd you get?” she asked curiously, peeking over at it.
Joshua smiled and angled the bag just enough for her to peek inside.
Her eyes widened the second she caught sight of the cover.
It was the horror manga she'd been flipping through earlier.
She gasped, eyes bouncing up to him with surprise, then back into the bag again, lips parted as if she couldn’t believe it. “Oppa~,” she groaned, dragging out the word in that half scolding, half guilty tone.
“You didn't have to get it,” she added, softly, her hands fluttering uselessly in front of her like she couldn't decide whether to take the bag or scold him for buying the book.
Joshua chuckled, clearly amused by the whole thing. “It looked like you really wanted it,” he said simply, like that explained everything.
And despite the slight pout still clinging to her lips, Nabi's expression betrayed her—eyes warm, smile tugging at the corners. She took the bag anyway, holding it close like it was a gift she hadn't expected but was secretly really happy to receive.
They continued wandering, turning corners and dipping into alleyways speckled with little boutiques and concept stores. It was quiet enough that they didn't have to rush, and loud enough with life that neither of them felt too exposed. Somewhere in between steps, Nabi reached out and slipped her arm through Joshua's, swaying lightly as they walked.
That was when she gasped.
Joshua barely had time to blink before Nabi was tugging him toward a shop window, her eyes lighting up like she'd just discovered a hidden treasure. “Oppa, look! Look at them!”
Behind the glass was a cozy little plushy shop, the kind that lets you dress up stuffed animals in miniature streetwear outfits and accessories. Inside, rows of pastel bears, bunnies, and puppies lined the walls, some already decked out in bomber jackets, bucket hats, and tiny sneakers that could fit in the palm of a hand.
“I need one,” Nabi declared with all the urgency of someone facing a life or death decision, dragging him in without waiting for a reply.
Joshua laughed, letting her lead him as she beelined for a display filled with plushies sporting oversized floppy ears.
She crouched in front of the plushy bins, her fingers grazing over options before she settled on a soft cream bunny with an embroidered brown heart for a nose and ears so long they nearly dragged when she picked it up.
“Uwa~,” she whispered, already cradling it with two hands. “This is the one.”
Joshua, watching her with that gentle amusement again, patting her head endearingly. “He's cute. Almost as cute as you.”
Nabi absentmindedly hummed in response before darting toward the accessories wall with determined footsteps. She picked a tiny black hoodie and layering a puffy army green vest over it. As a final touch, she reached for a pair of small black sunglasses and carefully perched them on the bunny's head.
Joshua couldn't help but grin. “He's exactly like you in your hip hop unit outfits. Crazy cute but dressed all cool.”
“I love him,” she said simply, turning toward the counter.
But just as she pulled out her card and reached to pay, a hand swooped in.
“Ah-ah,” Joshua tutted, holding his card high above her head and out of reach.
Nabi tried grabbing for it with a groan, “Oppaaaa! I was gonna pay—”
“Nope,” he said, stepping around her like a seasoned dodgeball player. “I'm not planning on letting you spend a dime today. You shouldn't even have brought your wallet.”
“But I feel spoiled—” she huffed, attempting to block him from the cashier, her arms flailing like an upset kitten.
“Wow~ good job, Einstein! That's the point.”
He laughed, breezing past her and completing the transaction before she could protest further.
When he returned with the bag, he handed it to her like it was the most natural thing in the world. “Now he's officially yours. Fully dressed and ready for the streets.”
Nabi looked down at the bunny, now cozily sitting in a brown paper bag, ears flopped over its tiny hoodie, sunglasses slightly askew. She sighed in defeat and whispered a soft 'thank you'.
The restaurant was warm and golden, the kind of cozy that made you want to stay too long and order more than you meant to. Nabi slid into the booth, the seat cushion slightly springy beneath her as Joshua settled across from her and waved over a staff member with ease.
He ordered in that calm, polite way of his—samgyeopsal, galbi, a side of steamed egg, her favourite kimchi salad, and two bottles of soju. Nabi barely said a word, just watched him with her cheek squished lightly in her palm, a quiet sort of fondness blooming in her chest.
Soon, the grill hissed with the sound of sizzling meat, and Joshua took the tongs like it was second nature. He turned and cut everything to just the right bite sized pieces, placing most of them on her plate without a word.
"Eat while it's hot," he said, lifting an eyebrow when she just blinked at him instead of moving.
Nabi picked up a piece of pork and leaned across the table. “Ahhhh!”
Joshua laughed, not expecting that—but he leaned in and took the bite before going back to tending the grill.
She grinned and finally took a bite of her own, choosing the less fatty piece like she always did. They ate like that for a while, casually passing lettuce wraps and sipping soju. It wasn't long before her phone buzzed with a call from Seungcheol.
“Yeoboseyo?”
Joshua, mid wrap assembly, shook his head and held back a laugh as she covered the speaker with her hand and whispered, “It's Cheollie oppa.”
“Chōmi-ya~ you two headed home?” Seungcheol's voice crackled through the line, firm but fond.
“Nope,” she chirped. “Dinner first then we'll go home. We're having barbecue!”
Joshua took that moment to place a full wrap in her hand, which she accepted automatically with a small nod of thanks.
“Don't drink too much,” Seungcheol snickered.
“Who said we're drinking...” she tried to mumble as she chewed and poured another shot for herself.
Joshua handed her another wrap. And then another.
By the time she hung up—after promising to text when she was on her way home—she'd eaten three in a row, fed to her like a toddler with zero say in the matter.
She set her phone down and gave him a half hearted glare.
“Oppa. You really didn't have to get me all those.”
Joshua took a sip of soju and tilted his head. “What?”
She rolled her eyes, pointing at the bags beside him. “The hair clips. The manga. My new baby bunny. A hoodie and vest. You went overboard, oppa.”
“You liked them. And the clothes are for you to match with your bunny,” he said simply.
“Oh. Since you've got a lot of piercings now...” he trailed off, digging through his bag and pulling out a tiny bag. “I also got you some cute star, celestial earrings. You should wear them next time.”
Nabi groaned into her hands, but accepted the bag Joshua was holding out to her.
Eventually, she lifted her head and looked at him properly—soft and a little shiny-eyed from the warmth of the food and the light buzz from the soju.
“Thanks for today, oppa.”
Joshua leaned back, letting her words settle.
Then he smiled, a tiny tilt of his lips that was mostly teasing, just barely mischievous. “You're welcome,” he said. “But just so you know, next time I see something cute that reminds me of you… I'm probably buying it.”
Nabi groaned again, this time louder, smacking his arm with a pout. But it was helpless and fond, the kind that said: fine, okay, but don't think I'm not secretly happy about it.
Because she was.
And Joshua knew.
BONUS : SPOIL YOU BACK
The room was cozy, softly lit with a birthday banner on the wall and a handful of balloons taped cutely beside it. A small table sat at the centre, decorated with simple streamers, a colourful cake off to the side. A couple of staff members hovered quietly in the background, making sure everything was ready.
Joshua sat near the table, absently scrolling through his phone when the door creaked open.
He looked up just as Nabi stepped inside, clutching a small Cartier paper bag in both hands. Her hoodie sleeves were tugged over her palms, her expression shy and excited all at once.
The moment their eyes met, his face lit up.
“Chōmi-ya,” he said, reaching an arm out with that soft, familiar smile.
“Hi oppa,” she said, flashing him her dimpled smile. “Are you live already?”
Joshua shook his head easily. “Not yet.”
Relief washed over her face as she walked up to him, holding out the bag with both hands.
“I wanted to give this to you before the live cause I have a schedule today. Happy birthday, oppa.”
Joshua took the bag gently, fingers brushing hers as he peered inside. The red ribbon, the velvet box—he paused, brows rising slightly as he pulled the box free and flipped it open.
His smile dropped into something softer. Quieter.
Inside was a sleek diamond and platinum bracelet. Elegant. Clean. So perfectly him.
“Chōmi-ya…” His voice dropped a little. “Why would you…”
“It's not a big deal,” she said quickly, rubbing her thumb against her sleeve. “I just saw it and thought of you.”
“Cartier? Not a big deal?” he whispered, eyes still on the bracelet. “This is… really expensive.”
Nabi shifted her weight, a little awkward now. “I wanted to get it for you,” she said, gently. “You deserve everything nice.”
“I know,” she said, her voice barely above a murmur. “But I wanted to.”
She tugged at her own sleeve and pulled it up just enough to reveal the same bracelet sitting snug on her wrist.
“I actually got one for me too... so we can match!”
For a moment, Joshua said nothing.
Then, slowly, his smile returned. Not his usual camera-ready grin, but something more genuine. Full of warmth. Full of her.
He grabbed her arm and pulled her in a hug, one arm around her back, the other gently cradling the side of her head.
“Thank you,” he whispered into her hair. “It's perfect.”
“Happy birthday,” she sang, laughing just happy he liked the gift.
Joshua rocked them back and forth for a moment before Nabi began to pull back.
“I should go. I don't want your live to be delayed and I might be late for the photoshoot.”
Joshua glanced toward the camera, then looked back at her, lips curving slightly. “Say hi to CARATs before you leave.”
Nabi froze.
“What?”
“Say hi to CARATs.”
“You said the live hadn't started...”
“Oh did I? I must've spoke wrong.”
Her mouth dropped open. “You're joking.”
Joshua only smiled.
“Jisoo Hong!” she hissed, immediately smacking his arm. “You're so mean! Here I was thinking we were having a quiet wholesome moment and—I look like a mess right now!”
She whacked him again, grumbling under her breath. “You're the worst. I trusted you and you betrayed me.”
He laughed as she turned dramatically to leave, stomping toward the door.
But just before slipping out, she turned around again, peeked into the frame with her cheeks flushed, and waved at the camera.
“Caratdeul annyeong~”
Then she was gone, muttering to herself the whole way out.
Joshua chuckled to himself, shaking his head as he looked down at the bracelet again.
“She's the sweetest,” he murmured, slipping it on like it belonged there all along.

I have seen the Wattpad story and yes, I would say that the user KJW-X1N did plagiarise my oneshot "bugged out baby". I am not familiar with the website and app so I am unable to report or reach out to the author through it. I am also unable to reach out to them through other social media platforms so I hope this post reaches them.
I can appreciate the idea that my work can inspire others. But when you close to copy my work word for word, that's a different story. Many authors put so much time and effort into their writings without asking anything in return. It frustrates me that there are people who plagiarise others' hard work.
To the Wattpad user KJW-X1N, you say to not steal your work. That plagiarism is a crime. I don't know if you are just unaware but simply changing certain words and details of a story doesn't mean you are not plagiarising. Even if you cite your source, it is still plagiarising if you mostly copy and simply reword things. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong regarding that but from my experience doing years of research under numerous academic courses and as a pre-med graduate... what you did would be flagged as plagiarism. I am not here to condemn or attack you. All I want is for you to take down that chapter and for you to educate yourself to not knowingly or unknowingly steal and hurt others. Don't get me wrong, okay? You can be inspired! But you take the base of the plot and branch out and write your own story. Anyways, feel free to message me here if you want to respond or say anything.
