totally didn’t draw this just to talk about sharks haha whaaat

…so the hammers on hammerhead sharks actually have two main advantages. firstly, their insane field of nearly 360 degree vision, with a greater range of overlap between each eye that allows depth perception. for comparison to their more aerodynamic family members most sharks rely on their other senses to tell how close an object is.

the second advantage being the larger amount of space for electroreceptors, called ampulae of lorenzini. those little pores on the bottom jaws of sharks are used to sense faint electrical currents in the water created by other fish. you can probably find videos online of hammerheads knocking stingrays out of the sea bed doing this. but they also double as the magnetoreceptors that sharks use to sense the earth's magnetic field and navigate their impressive migratory patterns! :)

though it probably won’t be true, i can imagine fifth lord ethan with a baby rosemary and it would be so adorable…(as long as miranda doesn’t try to experiment on rosemary, ofc)

i think ethan would be a lot happier, though i'm not really sure i could involve a kid in the story i wanted to write like… in good conscience. miranda would be malding and scheming like crazy. but he could totally end up adopting a kid that’s coincidentally named rose lol
