For regressors who grew up surrounded by lots of violence , anger and aggression , whether due to family , their schools , living in an unsafe area , or anything else , and as a result are rather neutral and / or unaffected by violence and anger from others , seeing it as just a routine part of life because of how common it was or still is for them .

The blueish gray symbolizes the walls that one has to put up when in situations like that , the bright pink and purple symbolizes resilience and bravery , the pastel pink and purple symbolizes softness and the strength that comes from letting yourself be vulnerable .

The premise of our au centers around Lumon hiring regressors in an attempt to reintegrate them to adulthood and the workplace𓈒 Similarly to canon Lumon operates in an (at best) morally dubious manner𓈒 Lumon is anti―regression although they won't admit this and are advertising as attempting to aid and support those who do so𓈒

The au is a classification au, taking place during season one of Severance𓈒 Innies and outies have the same classifications ― Helena has the same classification as Helly, Mark S has the same classification as Mark Scout, etc, etc𓈒

In our au the more a party regresses the harder it gets to resist further regression𓈒 While in the beginning a regressor may spend the majority of time in their adult headspace, having an easier time hiding and suppressing regression, whenever they give into the fuzzy feeling it becomes harder and harder to come out of regression𓈒 While in the initial stages a regressor may be entirely independent, finding no need for or interest in childish items like toys and infantile clothing or necessities like diapers or bottles, the more one regresses the more their dependence on a caretaker and such childish items will increase𓈒 

Eventually the regressor will be in a semi―permanent state of regression, relying entirely on others and regressing all the way down into an infant―like state of mind𓈒 While initially a regressor may stray more towards teen regression or child regression, the more they regress the younger their mindset will go𓈒
