For the most part life is just hurdle after hurdle. Sometimes you trip. Sometimes you fall. (I generally trip and fall. A lot. But I get up). Since “the fire” which was two years ago I’ve lurched from bad decision to worst. Sprinkled with some magic and inspiration in-between. But through it all I’ve never not laughed at myself for making the same mistakes, for ignoring red flags, or even for learning and growing. I suppose laughter allows me to self correct and learn (or sometimes not). But in that moment of the fire I met a really great friend. And to say he’s been there is an understatement. I’m grateful for his friendship, his counsel and his vicious scolding when I do wrong. Happy second friendaversary Dlomo! You’re a good egg. You cannot tell a hungry man when and how he must eat if you’re the one who stole his food and robbed him of his means of production.
