Iām guessing this blog isnāt abandonedā¦
but why is Snapeās hair always so greasy? Itās like a big part of his character. Does it represent something about his character, is it just a condition, or is he just lazy and doesnāt wash it? U would think he would afford proper shampoos after his high status as Potions master, or make a nice potion to do the job. Idk
definitely not an abandoned blog but I haven't had the heart to feed it lately.
Thanks for your observation on Snape's hair though.
No doubt that his fine hair is more prone to be greasy. I have met people with the same kind of black feathery hair and it looks greasy even 3h after shampoo. So, hair structure and then, his poor hygiene.
Probably most frequent cause as he was a kid/teenager than an adult, because I can attribute the greasy hair as an adult to the constant exposure to potion fumes. A depression can also make you care a little less about your own body and hygiene in some cases is what goes downhill. Since he was a teacher and had a "public persona" , as an adult as I mentioned, I see it more due to the very nature of his hair and the fumes.
