Faramir was more drawn to the stability in your composure and how easygoing you seemed more than anything, as he didn't feel any sort of pressure when he was around you. Being a captain in the army and a prince, he always had some form of expectations to him, whether it's maintaining an image or leadership. He can exercise more honesty around you than he already does overall.

When time allows it for the both of you AND when the known contents and location of his patrol seems safe enough, he won’t mind having you accompany him and his squadron. You demonstrate necessary survival skills to the extent you might as well be a part of the Gondor rangers. He admires your dexterity for your various hobbies — but he can't help but fret over how much you do, lest you be overworked or injured to some extent from any of them. There definitely are times when he pulls you away from any activities (having to bear your protests with that) or one of your new endeavors, and helps you take a break: sleep to alleviate exhaustion, drink for hydration, lay and relax by a fire — anything! (At insistence of some of them) most of the day is dedicated to this, for they too want to partake in preparing, arranging, and all that comes with the gathering itself — besides, it's more hours to catch up and discuss!

At a certain point in the day (night?), all of you will be leaving the halls to go outside — reasons ranging from guests going to wind down for the time being or go check out more celebrations they heard about from Faramir. In you two's case, you will go near the White Tree to muse all kinds of questions; to put in all efforts to keep each other warm and prevent your toes and fingers from freezing; to hear the laughter and joy of others that can echo from the lower levels of Gondor. But that's not the main purpose.

He wanted to take you out to see the stars of the silent night. He wouldn't wait long to start talking about them, pointing to many of them and explaining how he and his rangers put them to use in their various travels, including stories on the travels he hadn't talked about yet. All while holding you close, for he couldn't think of a better way to end the Christmas Day with you in his arms.

Hello! Im hoping for a Christmas match up event! Firstly I just want to say I love your blogs aesthetic, its so beautiful and makes me think of updating my own. All your posts just look top tier. I'm not comfortable putting a name down, sorry. I'm non-binary and my pronouns are they/them and, I dont have any gender preferences. My personality is INFP, I tend to be pretty quiet but I can joke around with witty remarks and overall easy going. I don't know what to out in for likes and dislikes as I go with the flow and theres not much I dislike.

As for hobbies, it depends on my mood, but it ranges from playing on my switch, reading, Knitting or crocheting, writing and playing the piano.

He really liked how witty you could get. As he was a tad sarcastic himself, you both have a method to each your madness way of bonding with each other by providing quips and funny remarks. Being aware that what you often say to each other in moments like these wasn't serious, it helped with you two being more relaxed around each other too.

Arno would be a little surprised upon learning you don't have anything you like nor dislike in particular. It's not particularly often he hears that. However, don't take that into heart in a bad way. He only sees it as you as being a constantly changing person, therefore having much that you like that he can hear about.

As you don’t have much that you particularly dislike nor like, it's all the more reason you two can explore various interests and either formulate new or improve on current hobbies. That can range from working on one's musical skill, looking into any recent publications that catch interest and you both can talk about, or Arno wondering about any processes of the needlework you do, among others.

He would have an occasional habit of depending on your opinion or approval on things when on your outings together. It may seem strange or overbearing, but he just wants to be sure all’s good and you just aren't silently accepting anything that's coming. It's one of his ways of caring.

You two happen to start your celebrations a little earlier than some households do; and it'll span longer too. He has other companions he wants to see on Christmas Day for a brief visit (emphasize: BRIEF), and you have family you have planned to get together with (and perhaps introduce Arno to them if it's a first 🫢) on that day too, letters and gifts and all.

So why start it earlier? Why of course, Cafe Theatre decided to host a small Christmas party! It's both a means of getting together and thanking M. Dorian for his role in what they've transformed this place into over time. It's understood that it's done earlier as they have their own families and friends they want to spend the next day with, the same way you two do.

With that, the transition from a day of celebration at the salon to the day of getting together with people close to you will be a quieter one, spent only between you and him in the candle light. He would have a present ready — being albeit unsure what you would've enjoyed, so he went for anything that's both practical, and/or has relation to one of yours’ recent endeavors; being something to revel in and start conversation about as you two silently prepare yourselves for the second day.

Hi there! I’d love a LOTR and The Hobbit matchup for your Christmas event! If you’re busy or this is too much, please feel no pressure to answer it!

Here’s my info:

Pronouns: They/them, no preference for gender of matchup

Personality: My personality is a bit hard to get a read on. I’ve been told that I am a lot of contradictory things: stoic but also expressive, creative but stunted, etc. In general, my biggest traits are that I am blunt and humorous. I tend to say and do as I please, and although it is rarely to the detriment of someone else, I can be very apathetic and uncaring towards people I dislike. I tend to put others’ needs above my own, sometimes knowingly as a form of self punishment. I'll talk for hours about my interests and passions, and I'm always up for a challenge, but I value being conscientious of other people and never dominating a conversation. I also have a very strong moral compass, and I refuse to compromise on it. I try to be kind, especially to those who seem to be in a rough place, as I haven’t always been treated kindly, and I want others to feel loved. Despite that, I can dislike someone immensely for even the smallest mistakes, and I hold on to grudges for a very long time. It’s very easy to notice when I don’t like someone.

I have a bad habit of being nosy; I have to know all the gossip and if I’m interested in something I tend to find out all of the information I can about it. In a similar vein, I’m really bad at keeping secrets, as I often forget they’re supposed to be secrets at all. I’m hedonistic, and I tend to overindulge in my loves and passions due to my lack of self control to the point that it often causes me harm. I’m known for giving great advice and being a good shoulder to cry on, but I don’t let others take advantage of that. I do well in emergency situations, especially when leadership is needed, but I also tend to crumble under mounting stress, and lash out when upset.

Overall I'm determined, creative, and compassionate, but also stubborn, judgmental, and fearful.

Appearence: I have a somewhat contradictory set of clothing aesthetics. I love grunge and band t shirts and ripped pants, but I also love cargo shorts and tacky video game t-shirts and cutesy sweaters with vibrant colored nails. I’d like to think that I like a little of everything, and that I wear whatever makes me happy whenever I want to.

I have INCREDIBLY thick glasses since I’m legally blind. I tend to go for comfort over fashion, although some days when I’m feeling really good I’ll wear something more extravagant. I’ve got lots of body marks, four piercings, and one tattoo.

Likes: I love horror media and anything deemed unsettling, since things that make me uncomfortable fascinate me. I love animals (especially tarantulas and spiders) and nature, and I spend a lot of time drawing and painting the world around me and taking walks in parks on sunny days. On that note, I’m an explorer, and I tend to get into spaces I shouldn’t be if only because my curiosity got the better of me.

I enjoy composing, playing (guitar, piano, and any other instrument I can get my hands on), and listening to music, especially instrumentals, rock, and pop. I also play video games, especially RPGs and FPS games. Although I don’t like athletics and sports that much, climbing, running, and adventuring is always fun for me, especially with friends.

Dislikes: Inconsiderate people, especially when they’re not aware of how they’re inconveniencing others. People who can’t enjoy silence and talk to fill it tend to get on my nerves as well. I also dislike those who are arrogant and cruel, and I have a particular distaste for seafood and being touched, although I am definitely a tactile person towards others.

What I look for in a partner: Someone who is kind and understanding of my flaws, and especially someone with a good sense of humor. I feel like I don’t truly connect with people until we laugh about something together. I value honesty and communication as well, so someone who isn’t willing or can’t be open and vulnerable with me is a no go.

As pessimistic as I am, I also believe in doing good and making other people’s days a little bit brighter if possible, so I couldn’t be around a cynic or someone intentionally cruel. I love giving gifts and providing words of affirmation, and I love receiving both as well.

Fun Facts:

I like to read medical textbooks, and I find visiting cadaver labs and watching medical procedures thrilling.

On that note, I love hospitals. I’ve been in and out a lot recently and I always feel at peace when I’m there, and endlessly curious about everyone and everything that’s going on.

Despite not being at all athletic, I am a very flexible person due to hypermobility in most of my joints, and so I tend to be restless and sit in very odd, almost contortionist-like, positions.

I have a very good internal clock, and have consistently been able to guess the time of day within 10 minutes.

My favorite movies are Late Night with the Devil, Doctor Strange, and Hereditary.

My love language to both give and receive is words of affirmation and gifts.

He'd be fascinated with all the instruments you play, and the songs you compose. He himself doesn’t really play any to the point of mastery, as he does have more an affinity for singing and poetry. But in general he is very curious on your music — and taste(!) — as he hasn't really listened to that type; so it's likely you two pass time in some instances by discussing music or reciting new tunes or lyrics either of you made — or maybe you even impress him by adding a little melody to back his poetry.

Sam will be side-eyeing you some bit whenever he catches you going overboard with any of your hobbies or things you like – but, he doesn’t want to stop you, as it’s not exactly his business and is not in the place to judge nor decide how you pursue things you enjoy. That being said, he won’t outright ignore it though, for he will be there to help you settle down in your exhaustion, and will at LEAST lightly scold you for overindulging against what’s best for your health while he gives you a little smooch and tea.

He understands incredibly well wanting to just get comfortable at this time, and he does prefer keeping things low-key pretty often. However, to be comfortable and cozy you gotta make it comfortable and cozy first!, hence you two do have to spend some time getting a couple things through.

Being out and chopping some wood for the fireplace? Out and done and logs have been already brought inside enough to last for a good while! Pulling out the Big blankets to keep warm with? Dusted off and ready to snooze in with no problem! Telling off no(i)sy neighbors to leave you be for the day, and keep quiet instead of partying when others try to sleep/rest from an eventful Christmas Day? Their lips are already sealed shut!

When he’s done with his errands and both of you have finished getting ready for rest he does suddenly understand, while he does already know the appeal behind keeping it lowkey, why you look forward to sleeping and being cozy the most during Christmas. Especially as he too may or may not be shimmying into a different blanket as well, and admiring you a little with a ‘Merry Christmas’ he didn’t manage to get off his tongue, while dozing off next to you together like a pair of caterpillars :^)
