Moon Aspects
When looking at aspects between planets, we must look at three things; the polarities, the nature of the individual planets and the potency of the aspects themselves.
Positive:
Trine (most potent)
Sextile (must be called upon)
Semi Sextile (less potent version of Sextile)
Neutral:
Conjunction (Most potent aspect in general and interpretation relies heavily on the relationship between the planets)
Negative:
Square (most challenging/potent)
Opposition (the energies pull away from each other)
Semi-Square (less potent version of Square)
*Keep in mind that the moon is the mother and all aspects can contribute to the person’s relationship with her.*
Moon - Ascendant: This person’s wears their emotions on their sleeve, this can be either comforting or admirable to others but can also be overbearing depending on the aspect. These people may also feel that their emotions are very important to their self image and identity.
Moon - Sun: With these two luminaries and counterparts being in aspect with each other we experience the relationship between the two parts of ourselves - conscious and subconscious, wants and needs etc. It is said that these aspects also represent what we were taught from both our parents or the relationship between them. These aspects show us the internal relationship between our psyches.
Moon - Mercury: These aspects represent the relationship between the person’s mind and emotions. They show us how we communicate our emotions to others and make sense of them ourselves. These people tend to spend time thinking through and analyzing their emotions regardless of the nature of the aspect.
Moon - Venus: These aspects creates a sensitivity in people as their emotions are directly linked to their capacity for love. Appearance is quite important to them and they almost always have a very comfortable vibe that allows people to easily open up around them. They are quite charming but can also take things to heart.
Moon - Mars: These aspects relate to the union between the emotions and the drive of a person. It is quite common for these people to be most motivated by their emotions and so, they are thought to have very powerful - almost compelling emotions. They show us the relationship between our emotions are our sex drive in addition to that.
Moon - Jupiter: These aspects show us how we share with others. They show how we influence people through our emotions and how our emotions influence our own generosity and wisdom. People with strong Moon - Jupiter aspects tend to overshare while those with weaker Moon - Jupiter aspects find a good balance.
Moon - Saturn: These aspects show the internal relationship between our emotions and responsibilities, whether they’re too much for us or not. They can also show us how we view those in authority and our relationship with authoritative figures in our lives. In addition, these aspects can influence how we express our emotions. People with these aspects may also have a bit of a chip on their shoulder or may feel that they carry a burden
Moon - Uranus: These aspects show us how our emotions contribute to our rebellious views as well as being an indicator or neurotic emotions. Because the moon also represents the mother, it can indicate to an unstable relationship with one’s mother.
Moon - Neptune: People with these kind of aspects are quite artistic but depending on the aspect can be quite prone to escapism. These aspects may also show us our emotional relationships with drugs and alcohol.
Moon - Pluto: These aspects show us just how powerful our emotions are and whether or not we have control over them. They can show us our emotions towards death or the occult. Unfortunately in some cases, it can indicate an abuse relationship with the mother.
Sun Aspects
When looking at aspects between planets, we must look at three things; the polarities, the nature of the individual planets and the potency of the aspects themselves.
Positive:
Trine (most potent)
Sextile (must be called upon)
Semi Sextile (less potent version of Sextile)
Neutral:
Conjunction (Most potent aspect in general and interpretation relies heavily on the relationship between the planets)
Negative:
Square (most harsh/potent)
Opposition (can be constructive)
Semi-Square (less potent version of Square)
Sun - Ascendant: When the sun is aspecting the ascendant, the person’s identity shines through their appearance very easily. When the aspect is harmonious, this brings others a lot of comfort when in their presence but when the aspect is harsh, they tend to come across a bit too strong.
Sun - Moon: While this aspect indicates this person’s sense of self being tied to their emotions (for better or worse), it can also depict the nature of the relationships between their parents.
Sun - Mercury: These people are very intellectual but sometimes get ahead of themselves, they tend to be quite nervous and strung out. Learning and education is vital to who they are but whether or not they find it hard to balance will depend on the individual aspect.
Sun - Venus: This can be a very beneficial aspect as it gives the native a basic sense of self-esteem that is hard to shake, it can become quite excessive is the aspect is harsh but in general this placement has a charming disposition.
Sun - Mars: These people are quite determined and energetic, in this energy exchange, we are dealing with vitality meeting will power. They can sometimes come across quite bossy but this due to their direct nature
Sun - Jupiter: These people are naturally very influential and other people may tend to take on their identity. They must be careful as they can get quite carried away and unrealistic.
Sun - Saturn: These people are very responsible and are often quite disciplined. They can be quite hard on themselves (depending on the aspect) and are naturally very practical in their every day life. They are an authoritarian and they are assertive.
Sun - Uranus: These people are non-conformists and they aren’t afraid to show this. Their identity is something they’d rather not have to explain or label and they are generally people who will leave a lasting impression.
Sun - Neptune: These people tend to be quite disorganized and almost always have their heads in the clouds. They are intuitive and have a very subtle presence that makes it hard for even them to get a good grasp on their identity.
Sun - Pluto: People with this aspect are quite hard to pin down as in they are an enigma to those around them and no one really knows why. They may be quite mysterious and others may feel as though they will never truly know them
Saturn in the 7th House
The 7th House represents all of the one-on-one interactions we have with others. Relationships and interactions of all kinds are seen in this house: whether it be your family or your lovers. The 7th House also represents the shadow side we tend to hide, only to see and project this shadow side on others through our interactions with them.
For those with Saturn in the 7th House, they can struggle feeling like they belong when it comes to talking to people one-on-one. Due to this, they’re often distant and withdrawn from others. Those with Saturn in the 7th House can often feel stifled in their self-expression with others, feeling that they can’t be entirely themselves. Due to this, a lot of natives will try to present what they think is their best self to others.
At the same time though, these people will often give the same, distant treatment to others in their one-on-one relationships even though a lot of them crave for acceptance. The reason why these people will be distant or even strict with people is because they have a high standard on how their interactions should go. If the people they interact with don’t follow this standard, they will often not open up to them. These natives often have a realistic, but restrictive view of relationships.
However, it is this high standard where these natives can establish long-lasting and meaningful relationships. This high standard these natives have will often filter out toxic and meaningless relationships. For every person a Saturn in the 7th native interacts with, there is often a lesson to learn. Over time, Saturn in the 7th natives become wise when it comes to relationships and interacting with others. It becomes easier for these natives to pick and choose who they want to interact with.
Due to the distant and hesitant nature these natives have with relationships, these people can struggle to have relationships early on in life. When the native lacks relationships early on, these natives can often have a naive view of relationships unless they have seen the workings of other relationships. It is only through relationships where these natives can see a harsh reality.
However, some natives can have relationships early on. These natives often learn their lessons from their relationships harshly and painfully, the relationships often leaving a scar for them. However, it is these very scars that helps these natives know the difference between a good and bad relationship. Often, they can feel experienced and mature when they see their peers suffering from relationship issues they probably have already went through.
Following the idea that is difficult for these natives to open up, these natives will often take their relationships at a slow pace, whether they are conscious of it or not. They don’t like to rush into relationships, for these natives are cautious and careful. However, these natives are often strongly committed and devoted to their partners. This means that these natives often make great and stable marriage partners. Saturn in the 7th natives are often aware of how loving and devoted they can be, which is why it can be hard for them to trust people right away.
However, once these natives choose to trust you, they will mostly likely commit and devote themselves to you for a long time. Saturn in the 7th natives aren’t looking for interactions that are meaningless and fleeting - they only want the most important and meaningful relationships. One reason why these natives want such meaningful relationships is because deep down, these natives fear letting people go. It is hard for these natives to cut people off, especially early on. Usually, when these natives choose to be with someone, they have used a lot of practical judgment and thought a lot about it. To see a person leave when they were willing to invest so much can be very painful.
The 7th House often shows the shadow side of ourselves that we don’t like to accept. With Saturn in the 7th House, the native will often reject their practical, realistic and serious side of themselves. Deep down, these natives crave to be free and carefree, for they want to release their inner child into the world. However, these natives are scared, for they think that it’s unsafe to do so. It’s with this fear that explains why these natives often treat others in a distant way.
It can often be hard for these natives to accept the fact that they can be authoritative figures so they try to find this authority in other people. They will often seek for people they find to be competent, intelligent, and good at what they do. These natives will also seek for mature partners and due to this, their partners are often older.
Having Saturn in the 7th House is often seen to be a tough placement, as with all Saturn placements. However, with Saturn, there is often a reason why there is so much pain and suffering. For those with Saturn in the 7th House, they will face a lot of suffering, but also empowering in their relationships. If manifested positively, these natives will find a sense of power, maturity, and authority they never knew they had. It’s up to themselves to realize that they’ve had this power all along - they just need to find this power through others.

Interceptions: Part 2
If you’re not sure whether you have an interception or not, check Part 1!
Interceptions in the Signs
The best way to think about interceptions is considering the sister sign pairs and what they represent, with their unique characteristics. Being aware of each sign’s distinct lessons and qualities will help you understand what the effects of an interception will have - when those lessons and qualities are absent from your life.
Aries//Libra - Aries is the sign of assertion, the sign of taking and independence while Libra is the sign of equality, fairness, and teamwork. With Aries intercepted, it will be hard for you assert yourself and to be independent. Action is difficult for you. Perhaps it’s difficult to find your identity, and you might struggle knowing who you are. When you do try to do things, it just happens wrongly and awkwardly. You don’t have a sense of who you are. And since you don’t know who you are and what you have and lack, the effects of a Libra interception will come into play. If you don’t know who you are, how will you work well with others? How will you work well with others, when you struggle to work well with yourself? With a Libra interception, you will struggle to equalize giving and taking - either taking too much or taking too little. You lack the balance Libra represents. You will struggle working and compromising with the people you face in your life, and relationships were out of the picture at this point, due to the fact that you don’t work well with others.
Taurus//Scorpio - Taurus is the sign of love, beauty, security, and stability, the sign of standing your ground when times get tough while Scorpio is the sign of transformations, and taboos, the sign of looking into the dark insides of your soul, embracing everything within. With Taurus intercepted, it’s hard for you to feel secure. This insecurity can manifest in a lack of material comforts like food and sleep or perhaps a lack of self-esteem. You may feel unloved or ugly, or you never got the love and confidence that you needed from others. Due to this, you could find yourself hoarding or spending impulsively, trying to fill the void you’re uncomfortably familiar with. Since there’s an excessive action of filling, and a lack of emptying, the effects of a Scorpio interception will come in. Due to the excessive fills and gains of your life, you will be devastated the moment you face a loss. You will be so involved in your security, you will never get out of your comfort zone to embrace solitude, and the dark sides of you that you try to push away due to a lack of self-esteem.
Gemini//Sagittarius - Gemini is the sign of the mind and intellect, the sign of learning while Sagittarius is the sign of learning and traveling, the sign of teaching. When Gemini is intercepted, your mind is perhaps choked and bound by the people around you. Curiosity killed the cat, and the cat in this case is certainly you. The answers to your questions were never answered, and your thoughts were usually suppressed or not taken seriously. With having thoughts concealed, the effects of an intercepted Sagittarius will follow. When you have Sagittarius intercepted, the ability to explore is taken away from you. Since you’ve never been able to express your thoughts, you never got to learn from your mistakes. It’s hard for you to open your mind and take risks and chances, since your mind was never appreciated in the first place. And when you go into the world with such a mind, you can struggle seeing other perspectives and views because you never got to express yours. It’s hard for you be optimistic during hard times.
Cancer//Capricorn - Cancer is the sign of the home and emotions, the sign of nurturing while Capricorn is the sign of the world and ambitions, the sign of responsibility. When Cancer is intercepted, it can difficult for you to express your emotions in a smooth, effective manner. Many times, your emotions can come out in explosions - problematic outbursts. “Home” is an elusive item you’ve never really had. You might’ve not considered the place you lived at as home. There was a lack of comfort and safety that you deeply wanted. Constantly lacking nurturing and care will cause the effects of a Capricorn interception. With Capricorn intercepted, it can be hard for you to chase your dreams and to be responsible. Since nobody comforted you or showed they believed in you, you feel powerless to the world. The world feels cold like the world you were raised in and you will struggle to make a mark in the world. Since you never felt accepted at your “home,” you really don’t know where you belong. There are so many things you want to do, but you feel like you aren’t capable.
Leo//Aquarius - Leo is the sign of creativity and excitement. It is the the sign of shining under the spotlight, and showing your talents to the world. Aquarius is the sign of humanity and innovation. It is the sign of doing the quirky, showing your progress in humanity to the world. When you have Leo intercepted, you can find yourself never being praised for your talents. You could feel like you didn’t have a right to show yourself off, and perhaps you felt like you had nothing to show off after awhile. And with constant discouragement, your creativity runs low. After all, why be creative with your ideas when it’s going to be crushed? Being stuck in a creative block and wanting to hide from the spotlight will transition over to the effects of an Aquarius interception. With an Aquarius interception, you will struggle to show the weird, quirky side of yourself since you didn’t get praised for showing the best sides of yourself. If anything, you want to be “normal” so you don’t get called out. However, everybody has their quirks, and yours can come out quite unexpectedly.
Virgo//Pisces - Virgo is the sign of order and routine. It is the sign of your daily reality and work. Pisces is the sign of your dreams and spirituality. It is the sign of fantasies. When you have Virgo intercepted, order goes out the door. The only routine that works well for you is your own, even if it ends up not being conventional for the long run. Perhaps people tell you that your way isn’t the right way, or perhaps you do that to others. There is however an aura of criticism and harsh judgment regardless. Being broken in routine and criticized will transition to the effects of a Pisces interception. When Pisces is intercepted, you will struggle to see reality and fantasy. You will struggle to see what’s real. You might find yourself with impractical dreams with impractical plans due to your Virgo interception. After all, if you struggle to make order in your reality, how will you make order in your dreams? A Pisces interception will also bring a disorganization and confusion to you. You can easily be deceived by others or yourself.

Chart Overlay Series
Sun in your Partner’s House (Synastry/Compatibility)
Other than synastry compatibility based off aspects, and of course planets and asteroids, astrology has much more depth in compatibility. In a synastry chart overlay, one person’s natal birth chart is layered on top of another person’s chart to show how your signs, planets, and houses work together. Especially where their planets are in your chart. It’s this that explains why rising signs are so important, you can still use this if you don’t know their time, but you’ll need to know at least one person’s time. You of course will have more understanding with both rising signs. The point is to see where their/your planet falls in your/their chart and the specific house, to see the influence it has on your relationship and bond. Remember to take both combinations of yours and theirs together. If you don’t know their rising and therefore their houses, look at their planets in your houses for now. These are the characteristic of their/your sun, in your/their house:
Your sun in their first
A really good blend of energies, as it builds self-confidence in each other because of how complimentary this placement is. Both of you seem to click together very well because of how alike you guys are to each other, always being on the same page. In fact, you guys probably drive each other to do the best. The sun has a strong sense of expression that opens the first house person thirst to do the same; it’s often a cooperating energy or competitive energy. I definitely think their is potential to click well though, similarities smoothen and compliment the bond like icing on the cake; there is a promise of attraction.
Your sun in their second
The sun person admires the house person a lot and builds their esteem. It makes them feel loved and talented so in turn the house person spoils and treasures the sun person. It can help put the house person’s energy to create more material security. The problem is that the Sun person may become too dependent financially on the house person and make them feel used, or the house person can become too dependent on the sun person to build self-esteem. All in all, this is the house of possessions so you guys help each other financially grow and feel secure. This isn’t necessarily all work and no play, you guys desire each other a lot and can become possessive of each other.
Your sun in their third
Both of you will have strong mental connection, creating intellectual rapport and similar interests. Their won’t be many misunderstandings, as the sun person makes the house person feel understood. There’s promise of deep talks and conversations that seem endless and have no expiration timing, they could go on forever. It also means that you guys can communicate well in other forms other than verbal communication, such as writing, texting, and perhaps ways a long-distance relationship can benefit from. This placement actually plays well if you guys are around each other physically, as you guys feel very comfortable with each other. It’s not an emotional connection, so make sure planets or other overlays form that.
Your sun in their fourth
It may feel like a deep and meaningful connection, almost an instant attraction. You often find home within each other, and perhaps make each other get a taste of home or family that’s far away. The house person makes the sun person feel comfortable with talking about family and other deep issues/topics ,letting them confine to the house person. The sun person always wants to protect and defend the house person, as the house person is deeply sensitive towards them. You both can be emotional dependent on each other, as it lets out the youthful aura in the house person. Regardless there is a strong connection between you two.
Your sun in their fifth
It’s a very playful and beautiful overlay; it unleashes love, playfulness, romance, and so much more. Both of you are active together and perhaps risky, always having fun in life. The problem is you look at this house for dating (dating is short-term) so you have to make sure the flame doesn’t die out, because it’ll be frustrating for you both when the honeymoon phase dies out (of course other placements matter). You guys may want children, and this can be challenged if the sun is harshly aspected. Both of you may be jealous and possessive but this is more shown from the sun person. Nonetheless you both have romance boiling between each other with a zest of fun. It screams fire, just like the sign ruling this house.
Your sun in their sixth
With this overlay, you have to be careful not to give too much servitude to each other as it can go unbalanced, as one can do too much. You guys seem to build and understand an orderly routine together, even if it’s discussing work or helping each other with health and/or other duties. You guys may be critical of each other. The sun person can help their health a lot, as their efforts in work too. It makes me paint the picture that you both are reliable and stable to each other, it’s very supportive. Difficult aspects can make many of these things a burden, like being completely criticized and overly watched over. Almost like being babied, yet this placement works between with flowing aspects between personal planets. As I said, it’s highly supportive.
Your sun in their seventh
You both have traits that you both admire in each other, yet balance each other out in the areas you guys lack in. This placement indicates respect, admiration, romance, support, and a strong connection between each other. You both love each other’s company and yet help each other blossom in the world too. This placement is great for not only partnerships, but business too. The strong, “meant to be connection” is more felt for the house person,as the sun person has traits of the ideal partner they need. The sun person has to be wary about this because they’ll demand more alone time and be protective as well. The match can also go downhill and have lots of resentment and more. Nonetheless it’s a magnetic attraction that can go both ways depending on how you allow it to manifest.
Your sun in their eighth
You guys can make great financial partners or/and the sexual attraction sizzles between you guys; the sun person helps the eighth house person go through the transformation their 8th calls them to do so. The sun person is deeply, deeply attracted to the house person that it often feels magnetizing. Or the sun person can feel uneasy with the house person. The affect is more detectable on the house person, as you affect them greatly. The house person sees the connection as very intimate and strong. They have more sensitivity towards their partner but the problem is that the sun person may not feel the same, yet they can (it goes both ways).
Your sun in their ninth
Extremely, extremely good for romantic compatibly. You’d except the seventh to be but that’s merely the house of opposites and learning from the partner. The ninth house is of second marriages which makes sense. In fact I rather have my partner have their sun in my 9th than 7th (why would you want the first, when you can have the last). The Ninth house is about everything being elevated; truth, expansion, growth, happiness, and profound love. In the long run you want a love that has respect, shared ideals, and makes you feel hope. This person has a high possibility of being your life long partner, because the relationship is constantly growing and expanding. It never gets stale. You two inspire each other and share many ideals. In fact, you guys help each other open the eyes about world. It’s like becoming a newborn baby and exploring every layer and corner of the world, mentally and physically. There’s also a possibility of adventure between you two, is this the person you travel the world with? Possibly so.
Your sun in their tenth
The sun person values the house person’s identity a lot in society. The house person may see you as someone with status or class. The problem is not a lot of attraction can fizzle here, but that depends on compatibility as a whole. Such as other planets in the houses and the compatibility of the planets together itself. You guys inspire and improve each other’s work, pushing each other. This is much more evidently done by the sun person. You have to be careful not to be overbearing or overwhelming for the house person. The sun person may feel strongly awed by the house person; they admire you, want the qualities you have, and have the desire to impress you. You’re the sun person’s precious gem. The sun person may even be more responsible and patient with you. In return, you help them with their career and ambitions a lot, something they want. There’s a lot of admiration between you guys but other aspects and placements will help build more chemistry.
Your sun in their eleventh
You both want friendship and find it in each other, finding an equal in each other. Both of you may share common interest and even friends. It helps you guys express your individuality, freedom, and greatness, often creating a relationship that is even a “best friend” bond. Both of you are nonjudgmental of each other but at the same time you have to look for other aspects and placements because you guys might just see each other as only friends, which doesn’t necessarily have to happen but it can. I feel like air signs would benefit from this, in a sense of gaining comfort and freedom with a partner.
Your sun in their twelfth
Both of you are fascinated by each other, but it’s this mysterious aura that can cause misunderstandings under the illusive charm this overlay creates. The sun person is capable of making the house person feel an array of emotions. It’s a sacrificial match as the house person can give up much; it can cause heartache and it also may cause the relationship to be too private or a secret as well. Nonetheless, and just like the 12th house, it can be highly rewarding. There can be a strong karmic connection between the two. The sun person can put the house person on many, and sometime extreme, emotional highs and lows. Yet the sun person helps them discover themselves when the waves aren’t crashing in. In return the house person makes the sun person dig deeper to discover themselves too. It’s a very spiritual and sensitive bond, yet confusing. It’s highly influential.
My boyfriend and I have both our suns in each other’s 8th house 💀💓
