Unpopular opinion: Logan is too intense to be polyamorous.
He’s stubborn, he gets hung up, and he holds a torch. The man doesn’t just fall in love—he fixates. Whether it’s Mariko, Jean, Itsu, or Silver Fox, he tends to carry those relationships for years, sometimes decades. He’s incredibly loyal once he’s emotionally invested, to the point that it’s often self-destructive. He broods, he holds grudges, and he romanticizes lost loves. That’s not exactly the emotional profile of someone who naturally thrives in a poly relationship in my eyes.
I reckon the whole multi-shipping situation has more to do with Logan being the hot main guy who saves the day than with his characterization. The character we ship him with probably says as much about us as it does about him.
Yes, I was a straight-A student who followed the rules and ate all my greens. Of course I’m going to ship him with Scott Summers.
Anyway, the unfollow button is up on the right. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk!
PS Sharing my shower thoughts doesn’t mean I have anything against multi-shipping. If you’re having fun with those dynamics, I’m genuinely happy for you! This is just me channeling my inner Scott Summers and overthinking fictional relationships with military precision.
