found out recently that Lysandre only threatens to Kill Everybody in pokemon Y and that was not, in fact, a universal experience for both games.

and I've been glad to discover that I'm not the only Y player who has recently been absolutely Baffled by this knowledge

like I remember being not even a teen yet playing Y and getting to the part where he Threatens To Kill Everyone and being so baffled that that made it into a pokemon game*?? that this fictional man was threatening my little fictional child life??? to my little fictional face???

and now over a decade later discovering that ✨in the blue game version✨ he just... DOESN'T do that????????

*small aside but yes I know that Cyrus two gens earlier basically threatened the same thing but something about Lysandre's directness really slapped baby me in the face from what I remember lmao

anyways, even though I can't say I particularly like Kalos, I'm still really excited!

honestly, the return of megas, a new Legends game (confirming that they're not leaving the format as a once-and-done deal!), pushing any possible Unova/Johto stuff for later down the line to hopefully get more development time and potentially be on the rumored switch 2... all huge wins, I'd say!

(besides, maybe they can finally give Kalos a real glow-up in terms of lore/writing... //sobs)
