For the longest time, Suzy had fought for her relationship with Max. She’d stood at an arm’s length away from her family, proved to them that their love was real, gone up and over just to make something out of nothing. She loved Max! Of course, she did! That was why she had done everything in her power to be able to marry him! Why else would she have walked down the aisle in a wedding dress? Why else would she have said her vows? Suzy loved Max with her entire heart — but, in the process of giving all of that to him, she had lost her family. Suzy scrutinized the man before her with little regard for what he thought of her now. She knew there was nothing he could do to make things better, but he was here. Her mother, on the other hand, was not.
A small chuckle escaped Suzy’s lips at the man’s words. “Too late,” she said, and held up her hand to show off her ring finger. “Already married.” A small, depreciating laugh came from her lips. It fainted into a sigh, though, as the waiter came over beside her. Suzy couldn’t help but lean her head on his chest. For a while, she was silent. The scent of him filled her nose, which, for some reason, only made her want to cry some more. “None of my family came,” she finally cried out when her tears could no longer be kept to herself. “I think they’re angry. Maybe. I don’t know. Told me not to marry Max. Then, I said I love him and I’ll marry him. I think I won, but winning isn’t supposed to hurt this much.” Her words were slurred and filled with pain, but Suzy didn’t care now.
As soon as the girl’s head was resting against his chest, Aiden felt his heart beginning to beat fast. He knew that the thin dress shirt and tie were not nearly enough fabric between the drunken bride’s ear and his pounding heart. He couldn’t help himself. Aiden had never been good with ladies, and honestly, this was the closest to a woman he had been in a long time that wasn’t a friendly kind of touching. Or was it? They weren’t friends, but was this just... friendly happenings? He was overanalyzing. “Marriage is something that can end, ya know.” He muttered, knowing that a little bitterness was in his voice as he remembered the divorce from hell that his parents had put him through. It ruined his eleventh Christmas, and ten years later, he was still frustrated about that. “If you’re not happy right now and the fact that you won is still making you feel this way? Well, I don’t think that’s winning at all,” he spoke softly, his words coming from his (racing) heart. He carefully and slowly wrapped one of his arms around the smaller girl before him, rubbing her back as comforting as he could. Her dress was gorgeous. He wondered if he would ever be lucky enough to have a girl coming down the aisle looking as beautiful as the girl before him was. “If it matters, you look stunning, Miss.”

Despite how much she’d separated herself from her family, Lana was still a de Luca. She still had the grit in her veins, the revenge and the power and the money. No matter how much she wanted to pretend this wasn’t in her, Lana knew she could ruin Maxine’s life far worse than hers and Cullen’s had been ruined. The last thing she wanted to do, however, was to stoop as low as Maxine had. Lana was a de Luca, but she no longer wanted to be. She was revenge and money and grit and dirt, but she hadn’t wanted to resort to any of this.
Hearing Cullen’s words only made Lana angrier, though. How could someone who had only ever given her heart deserve this? How could Cullen, who had never been anything but honest, get a love that ruined her? And how come Maxine was sitting at home, basking in the glory of what she’d done without any guilt or shame? Lana frowned out of concern at the other woman before her, but also out of anger. At Maxine. For herself. She had been used by a friend, and at the expense of another! How could she let anybody get away with this?
“I know,” Lana replied. “I don’t owe you anything, and you don’t owe me anything either. It’s just— I have to sit here. I have to sit here with someone who knows what happened, and just… let myself settle. I— God, would a revenge plan be so bad? You still have her texts, right? Still have everything you ever gave her? That watch you gave as a gift — how much was that? She still thinks I’m her friend, so. I mean — I have information, you have receipts, and we’re both holding grudges. So, why not?” Lana looked up at Cullen now, only half-hoping she would disagree.
The worst thing about this entire situation was the fact that Cullen couldn’t stop herself from being love struck in the presence of Lana. She didn’t know her as Lana, but she knew her as the woman and the face that she had fallen in love with. Cullen wondered how many pictures were stolen from her Instagram or screenshotted from Lana’s Snapchat so that she could mess with Cullen. Shaking her head, Cullen knew that she needed to slow down her thoughts or stop, or something. She couldn’t stop resorting back to how everything that had happened was because someone was deliberately playing puppet master with her heart and mind. All along, Maxine was aware of what she was doing and the effect that it would have on Cullen if anything became incorrect or proven wrong.
Cullen could still remember the moment in which she had realized that Maxine wasn’t who she was saying that she was. It had taken something as simple as Cullen trying to prove to her best friend that the pictures belonged to the girl who she had been talking to, but Google Images had brought a different result back than Maxine. One confrontation turned into an argument which resulted in Maxine admitting everything. God, she was such a fucking idiot. “Wait, what?” Cullen mumbled, instantly being brought back into the moment whenever Lana’s voice was raising and something almost sinister started coming to the surface. “What do you mean exactly?
There was not a revengeful bone in Cullen Kensy’s body, however, there was so much hurt and anger stored inside of her petite body that she could see herself stepping into the dark side. “Maxine needs to feel what I’m feeling right now. It’s not fair and I need her...” Cullen paused before she was running her hands through her hair, trying to ground herself to the moment. Her emotions were taking over and making her feel incredibly out of control. “I need her to hurt. Whatever you’re thinking, I’m in. I don’t care, I’m in.”

evangelina was the type of girl that was a class a bitch at times. her family was wealthy and eva was a spoiled rotten brat. she had everything she wanted and it was no surprise when people called her the devil incarnate at times. although, she hadn’t always been like this. she changed the minute she caught her ex cheating on her. rolling her eyes at the timeline on twitter, the raven haired female locked her phone and slid it into her purse, grabbing the keys to her benz. a sigh falling from soft pink petals, the girl was wide eyed as she opened the door, coming face to face with the red haired stud, whom she hadn’t seen in about six months. the female huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, looking irritated to mask the nervousness she was feeling. heart hammering against her chest, the female took a minute to say anything. “ look, i’ve got a booty call to go to, so whatever you wanna say, make it quick. ” the booty call thing had been a lie, but she didn’t know what else to say. she had the want to make him jealous but also what she said could possibly speed this along, so she could breakdown in her car.
as soon as the door opened, cameron couldn’t figure out if he was about to pass out or throw up. it had been so long that he had seen his girl that it was overwhelming for him. “well damn eva,” he mumbled whenever he saw her, instantly ignoring the words that she uttered. he knew what she was doing. while he was an asshole, she was always just as much of a bitch. they could go toe to toe with one another, and that was one of his favorite parts about dating her. or was it when he was dating her? honestly, he was just getting confused. “i haven’t been able to stop thinking about you and how much i hurt you,” he immediately stating, knowing that there were a couple options in play: she could slam the door in his face if he played around, or she could quite literally leave for this so called booty call. feelings were hard for cam, and speaking his feelings were even harder. “you know i suck at this fuckin’ shit, so i’m really hoping that this is showing you just how truthful and honest that is.”

This was supposed to be the happiest day of Suzy’s life. This was supposed to be the day that made all other days worth it. This was supposed to be such a day. It was supposed to live up to the dreams she had since she was seven. Suzy was marrying the love of her life, for god’s sake! She was marrying her best friend! This was… supposed to be a good day. But, god, Suzy had walked down the aisle and found none of her family members. Her smile had faltered into nothing, and the tears in her eyes had come because of emptiness. Max had stood by the altar with anticipation; Suzy walked to him with a heavy heart.
Could she be any more ungrateful?
The answer was thus: she could. As the rest of her guests danced and laughed and enjoyed themselves at the reception, Suzy instead found herself sitting in the kitchen with a bottle of champagne in her hand and tears in her eyes. GOD. She was going to hell for this. She chugged straight from the bottle. Her head was so loud that it hadn’t even occurred to her that someone else was in the room until a voice came from beside her.
Suzy turned towards the man; a frown graphed her features. “No,” she said honestly. “Nothing is okay.” The alcohol made her slur, made her feel too much at one time. “I’m supposed to be happy.”
Aiden went back and forth between looking concerned at the woman in front of him and back towards the literal celebration that was happening for her happiness. He was confused. Very confused. “But,” he started before he was placing the bottle of champagne down on the island counter separating the two of them. “Listen, I know I’m just... the help?” Aiden paused, tilting his head to the side as he shuffled nervously in front of the scrutiny of the woman in front of her. Could anyone blame him? This girl was the most beautiful bride, let along woman, he had ever seen. It was almost intimidating to him. “I feel like if you aren’t happy on today of all days, maybe it’s not the best idea. I know that you have no idea who I am, but aren’t weddings supposed to be the place for happy tears and not... well, this?” He questioned, moving from the counter over to be on her side of the room. After all, with the moment that was unraveling before them, Aiden figured this was the biggest bonding session the two of them could ever have.

open to f/m/nb. about naomi. suggested connections: significant other, affair with a married person, secret relationship, someone from a crime ring, etc // “run away with me.” half drunk off of wine and their touch, it was easy for naomi to get caught up in romantic fantasies, hushed words spoken against their skin as she pressed kisses to their shoulder. she didn’t often allow herself to show this kind of vulnerability, but her words and actions spoke of an urgency that was hard to deny. “let’s leave everything behind and start a life together.” as if it would help selling her point, the woman slid one of her legs over theirs, straddling their lap and loosely wrapping her arms around the other’s neck, bringing her hand to gently stroke their cheek with the back of her fingers. red tinted lips were curled in an almost timid smile, eyes glimmering with the hope that her proposition could maybe become something more than a dream; naomi was proud of the life she built, but she couldn’t help but to feel the weight of everything she had to give up for it. “we can see the world together. i’d take you anywhere. just point and i’ll get the first flight out.”
in the beginning of her relationship with naomi, mari was nothing but grateful for the work that the woman completed at the hospital. after all, she saved her brother’s life. however, the relationship quickly turned from being grateful for her actions to just being thankful for her. there were struggles throughout their relationship, of course, especially since her brother nor her family knew about her sexuality. it was tough being part of the family side of mob life, but it was one that caused mariana to have brilliant skills whenever it came to being able to keep secrets from everyone around her. plus, how could she ever give up the moments she shared with the woman laying with her. “you got it,” she whispered, intoxicated by the moment in front of them. both of them knew that leaving was never something that could happen - they would both be found in an instant. the thought of it though? it made mari’s blood rush in anticipation of the thrill of it all. mari’s head tilted to the side, gravitating into naomi’s touch as the softest smile graced her lips. “god, i love you.” she mumbled, more to herself than anything else. sometimes, she needed to ground herself in moments, because naomi was the most incredible person she had ever met. “i wouldn’t care where we went... just so long as i have my camera and my girl by my side,” she cooed before leaning forward and pressing her lips against the others. these moments were the ones that got her through her darkest, and hardest moments of life. it made her forget about how her entire family would hate her for the actions happening right now. after all, how could anyone hate their daughter being as happy as naomi made them. “we could never do that, you know that, right?” she whispered, almost daring the woman to challenge her. she wanted so desperately to be talked into doing so.

It must have been a pretty chilly day in hell, because Alison was actually enjoying herself at a social gathering. It’s not as if she didn’t try to make an effort to have a good time at these parties. Now that she was finally in college, and away from home, Alison was trying to break herself out of her shell. There had been many more misses than there had been hits, but at least she hadn’t given up yet. Red solo cup in hand, Alison was (badly) dancing the night away. She just wanted to forget for a while. Forget that she felt like she was drowning during her Freshman year. Forget that she’s a socially anxious girl who was bad at forming connections with other people. The song ended and Alison didn’t like the next one that played, so she figured it was time for a break and a refill. She excused herself from her little dancing group and headed off to the kitchen, not expecting to see who was standing there when she did. “Hi,” was all she said at first as she walked past them to fill her cup. “I didn’t know you’d be here. Have you been hiding?” Alison asked. Her cheeks were red and her heart was beating quickly. She wasn’t sure if she was happy to see them or not.
Cullen glanced around the room, instantly shaking her head. She needed to be home, buried in her final project instead of at a party. However, her best friend had dragged her off to some near Thanksgiving break party, so here she was. “Seriously?” She mumbled in a deadpan as she glanced over at her best friend, seeing the girl instantly make a beeline for whatever flavor of the week had currently walked into the room. It was sickening. She couldn’t understand how someone could be so fascinated with so many different people at one time, but whatever floated her boat was fine with her. Cullen was much different. After all, she was currently trapped in the whirlwind of a not so romantic romance occurring between her and some girl that was most likely not as into her as she was with her. “Yeah,” she quipped to herself, tearing herself from that mental tear down as she turned to walk into the kitchen. She dumped the alcohol from her red solo cup before filling it with water. Her hands braced herself against the counter as she shook her head. You shouldn’t have come here, she thought to herself before a familiar voice burst through her wallowing. “Oh hey,” she whispered, realizing just how perfect the moment was. Of course they would be here. Right after she had just stopped thinking about her. That was just the cherry to her awful night sundae. “Not hiding. Just... blending in, I guess. Stac is in the other room doing her thing and it’s seemed a little overwhelming.” Cullen explained, staring the girl down. With that, she dumped the water from her cup without even taking a sip before filling the cup with whatever alcohol was around.

The party had thankfully come to a very disruptive end. Things ended up getting a little crazier than anyone had expected, causing the cops to stop by and give them a friendly request to end the party. Despite how bummed out about it she seemed to be, Jessa was actually the one who had called the cops in the first place. She’d never been a fan of parties to begin with, and she’d been expecting a quiet get-together, not a fucking fraternity rager. Jessa knew she would have a lot of cleaning to do tonight and tomorrow. But first? She wanted to enjoy the bottle of wine that she never got to open. “Sorry. Last person to leave has to help me clean,” she teased, “Looks like you’re the winner.” With a little grin, Jessa offered them the bottle after taking a sip for herself.
Nothing were better than parties. The nearly always free alcohol, booming music, and sardined together bodies was always something that Sienna would never become tired of. While the current party was incredibly dull for her taste, she had a soft spot for the party thrower. Sienna spent her night after the room, her eyes fixated on the brunette as she tried to keep her alcohol intake under control so she wouldn’t make a fool of herself. However, soon the sirens were flashing and everyone was rushing out of the house, except for Sienna. She sauntered over to Jessa before giving the girl a sly smirk. “Lucky me,” she quipped before she was taking a long sip from the wine bottle and handing it back. “So tell me, did you call the cops just to have some alone time with me?” Sienna’s smirk quickly turned into a cheeky grin as she leaned over to grab an array of beer bottles from the floor.

“i know, i know — i smell like sea otter, i’m sorry.” saffi spoke, scrunching up her nose. “in my defense, i do work in an aquarium all day.” she added, unzipping her jacket. “i’m going to have a shower though, i promise. care to join me? i could use someone to wash my hair.” the aquarist quipped, raising an eyebrow at the other before heading off towards the bathroom — leaving a trail of shed clothes behind her.
cullen couldn’t help but smirk at the nearly instant change of smell in the room whenever her significant other came through the door. “you smell like something, that’s for sure,” she mumbled with a shake of her head. honestly, she didn’t mind. it was just always fun to poke fun at the wide array of smells that the girl came home with. “you got it,” cullen said, her words rushed which perfectly matched the speed in which she was scrambling to get up off the couch to follow her. if there was something she loved more than showering with a partner, she would be a liar. soon enough, the shed clothes were growing as cullen came up behind saffi, wrapping her arms around her waist and resting her chin on her shoulder. “you smell like a salty mess, come on.”

Mari looked down at the scene of nuts and bolts scattered across the hardwood of her and her girlfriends bedroom. “This is impossible,” she mumbled, glaring over at the girl whose head was buried in the instructions manual of their brand new Ikea bed frame. “Are you going to like, oh I don’t know, fucking do something other than try to read the same instructions a dozen times?” Her hands rested perfectly on her hips as she cocked a shit eating grin the direction of the girl, immediately rolling her eyes whenever the girl was not fazed. “No seriously. I’ve been doing fucking everything and you’re just sitting there,” she stated, her voice slightly firmer now. She was an ass, but honestly, so was her girlfriend.
