a soft groan fell from sasha’s lips as she dropped the pen on the desk in front of her and instantly raised her hands to her face, rubbing her eyes before running them through her hair. looking back to the pages in front of her, she pursed her lips together, everything she was writing --- or attempting to write more like it --- was sounding terrible and it only frustrated her all the more, that probably could also been seen by the pile of scrunched up papers around her chair. shaking her head, she tore her eyes away and reached over for her drink, taking a long sip before placing it back down with a sigh. picking the pen back up, she began tapping it against the table as she tried her hardest to get the words flowing through her brain, but it was honestly no use and another groan slipped through her lips, being too focused on this also caused sasha to not hear the door open and close until a voice suddenly sounded and she almost jumped out of her seat. looking quickly over to the source, she let out a breathy chuckle, her hand moving to clutch her heat. “you trying to give me a heart attack, pumpkin?”
for @avalxns bc we just need kaycie and olivia back!!!
‘ I swear, when the day of the wedding finally comes, my family won’t be attending because I’ll have erased the whole Costa bloodline. ’ The announcement was followed by a loud, dramatic sigh, as Olivia wrapped her arms around Kaycie’s waist and nuzzled her neck. Even with their wedding still months away, the stress was there and already driving her crazy. ‘ Hadley said I was overreacting about the ‘whole thing’, and mom asked when we would get kids, as we’re apparently getting old and she wants grandchildren, ’ Olivia mumbled, unsure if kids were something that they needed to talk about right now. With their time-consuming jobs and the wedding preparations barely starting, it didn’t seem like the right moment to bring it up.

Completely out of her breath, Jemma reached for her joint. Some people smoked cigarettes after quality sex. She, on the other hand, chose weed. It was even better during but that was semantics. As she lit up, she turned to face the slightly younger girl. Never in a million fucking years did she imagine that this would be happening on a semi-regular. Not even a little bit, even though Addie was hot. She’d known that for a couple of years now. “How do you feel about threesomes,” she asked after taking a hit, only to hold it out for the other. “I mean... you know when I can totally walk on my own again.”
[ @avalxns from this: #19 ] This was awkward, beyond awkward. “Sooo... This is going to sound strange, but I feel like we know each other?” Harmony chuckled nervously, tilting her head. Being able to reincarnate wasn’t something she told people. The only person who knew was the soulmate attached to her. In every lifetime, this whole process happened. Met, fought, loved, fought more, moved on. Well, not every time. Some soulmates forgot about each other and were able to live their next lives, but Harmony established herself as an anonymous author and often wrote books about her life. In order to remember this, she tattooed every book she ever published on her back. The last one accounted for was the 1920s. That seemed strange to her. The last time was great. They were the best they’d ever been. “This is kind of a doozy, huh?” Harmony was just... weird. Odd as ever. “So what are you-- what are you doing here? If you don’t mind my asking,” Half of her heart only wished they’d been looking for her, though she’d understand if it was a mere coincidence that they ended up in the same city again.
"Gosh, why did I agree to this again...” Tatum mumbled to herself as she headed into the restaurant her friend had told her to be at for a blind date she was hardly thrilled about, she’d much rather be at home in front of her television watching cheesy movies while eating popcorn, but honestly her roommate had other plans for her and wouldn’t shut up about the other woman until she finally gave in and agreed to this. Sighing, she slowly began to look around, looking for any signs of the mysterious person, but when every table had two or more occupants, she felt her lips fall into a frown, though she was then greeted with a cheerful hostess and she quickly put on a fake smile. “Uh, table for two,” she muttered as a hand rose to the back of her neck and she followed the other to the table. “Thank you,” she politely let out with a nod and then sat down waiting for her blind date to arrive, that’s if she’d even show up, she had a feeling she was about to be stood up and if that happened, oh her friend was honestly not going to hear the end of this. @avalxns

Alex had never driven home from work so fast. Her hands had drummed against the steering wheel anxiously the entire ride and she had eventually shut the music off, needing to get the noise out of her head. She went straight to Isla’s. After six months of them dating it wasn’t all too rare for her to go to the other woman’s place after work anyhow but this was different. Alex had been tracking this guy for three months now, after the deaths of a beat cop and a retired high school teacher seemed to both tie back to the same person. Then they’d found connections to a couple of other deaths and not long after that, the answer was clear. Someone was killing people attached to a particular court case, one that put a woman in prison. These were usually the moments that brought Alex the most satisfaction, putting a case together, knowing the answer, getting a little closer. But instead, when she pulled the files, she felt the ground beneath her give out. Throwing the car into park, Alex flew in the direction of Isla’s door which she knocked on a little harder and more abruptly than usual. Her hands were clammy and all the usual Alex Kohl calm, cool confidence was gone from her posture. Isla had been the attorney on that case and Alex had every reason to believe that made her girlfriend a target.
