Man I love whenever there's a human with a player inset character that uses a grey blank slate or an avatar you can customise and it causes people to make their own little creatures like,,, that's so cool. I love seeing how people can interpret a character that wasn't even meant to exist beyond being us.

I think it'd be kinda cool if the bigass shade hat made Ralsei look shifty and shadowey around the edges, and that's why their sprite/portrait looks different with the hat on. Their ears looks more spikey and their face looks a bit different, but when you can see them clearly you can make out the edges and what goes where because they're no longer shifty shadow covered

I find it interesting how the people who usually misgender Kris and complain about people being "sensitive about the pronouns of some pixels" are usually the people who get angry when people use they/them or she/her for Ralsei.

When it isn't the Kris misgenders, it's the people who are weirdly obsessed with Ralsei being a femboy to a fetishizing degree.

I actually do think the she/they queer frog gifting their friend her bowtie and placing it in a feminine associated spot for bows is important to the scene and Jax's trans development

"[Queer character] is better queer rep than [other queer character]" and it's a character that doesn't show any struggles with queer identity (or only shows in it a way that makes it seem easy to overcome or deal with), has only good qualities, and is conforming to the stereotypes of the gender/sexuality given to them VS a character that isn't perfect, genuinely shows struggles queer people have with identity and expressing themselves, gets violent, has contradicting qualities to their identity (like internalised homophobic that ISNT just there to make your gay sex more interesting), and shows the negatives of living in a world that wants you to suppress yourself.
