Never needed likes, love, or approval to be myself 🤷🏿♀️ call me weird, call me bougie, call me whatever, I'm good on me and when I ain't good on me it's cause I know I need to change it for ME! But opinions will always be just that! You entitled to them. It'll never change nothing till I feel it's necessary. On my worst days I still love me. I am easily annoyed though. Despair
Lost it all at some point
Exactly at what point I'm not sure
What I am sure of is it started when I had to see the world for what it was
Cold, calculated, ugly, selfish, entitled, hatred
Grew up in love and comfort so what a shock
To bring love and respect to the table and not receive the same
Slowly I became like some of the ugliness I seen
Cause why should I give my best to receive far less
Started to dislike who I am because I let the world change my good for bad
Steadily trying pick up the pieces and be who I'm destined to be
I can't continue to live in despair
Solitude
Being alone is necessary. Some would say it's not good, but I haven't experienced anything that would make me feel otherwise. People are the problem
Everything about me is about to crack. I'm mentally and emotionally drained. I have so much but I'm literally at my lowest. I have nothing to offer because I got to work on my mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Everything I do at this point has to be for me. I have no room to help or accommodate. I'm mentally exhausted. No one or nothing is going make me happy till I'm happy with myself. I'm ready to fix it.
They say you never miss a good thing till it's gone, I say I could have missed out on love if he would have left me alone. But my good thing never left, barely wavered. Always treated me like I was his favorite. Built me up when I was down. Treated me as if I wore a crown. I never knew it could feel like this, my heart on my sleeve cuffing my wrist. My mind, heart, and soul saying never let him go cause now you know.

I don't give up on people. I will always believe people have the potential to do better. What I will do is distance myself and hope and pray for them over here.

I threw myself a New Year’s Eve party in my new apartment. I live here by myself and I bought it and I made it mine and I love it and I threw myself a party. And I’m looking at myself in the mirror right now and I’m drunk and it’s 11:45 and I need to go back out there. But for one last time this year I’m thinking about how if I stayed with you, we would be married with kids and I’d probably be happy, but I wouldn’t have met anyone in this room right now. And when I think about all the people I wouldn’t have known existed, all the trips I wouldn’t have gone on, all the pictures I wouldn’t have taken, and all the memories I wouldn’t have made if I had stayed with you, it literally breaks my heart, and that’s how I know I made the right choice.

I know when things don’t work out it’s too easy for us to say we weren’t enough and that’s what makes it impossible to feel closure. But just because you don’t marry someone it doesn’t mean they didn’t feel something for you, like a lot, and it doesn’t mean they aren’t going to think about you ever again. Because they are. People who I’ve gone on one date with and decided I never want to see again still cross my mind when I pass a certain restaurant or someone mentions the town that person said they’re from. You’re not forgotten and you didn’t “mean nothing,” I promise you. So just because it’s over, it wasn’t pointless and you aren’t worthless to this person. This person is still going to think about you, probably a lot, even if they already replaced you, even if you really hurt them. That’s just human, you meant something at one point and you will always mean something.
