I have come across a lot of comments that are being against this movie, say that they're worried because women are making comments that are thirsting over Zade or comments saying that they wish they were Adelaine.

The issue I have with this worry is that, you cannot fully know if they're just joking and/projecting their fantasies. It does not mean they want these things actually in real life.

Even IF the book would condemn Zade's actions and him as person the way you would like, that doesn't mean some readers wouldn't romantazise or sexualize Zade or their dynamic/relationship anyway.

Depending on the media you are watching or run you are reading, Harley Quinn and Joker are portrayed as an unhealthy in a non-romantazised way. But there are still people that call them "couple goals".

And when people mention horror and your counter argument is that it's different because it's not romance. But there are people who are thirsting over and lusting over Ghostface, Michael Myers or any other horror characters.

Your discomfort should not dictate what women can and cannot read. It does not justify you cheerleading for censorship. In which in this political climate, I wouldn't exactly would want to play with.

my heart goes out to every closeted bisexual. my heart goes out to every bisexual who can't come out. my heart goes out to every aro and ace bisexual who get harassed by those around them for being sexually promiscuous because of their bisexuality when they don't have sex or partners. my heart goes out to every bisexual who ever has their bisexuality called into question. my heart goes out to every bisexual who gets told to not show up to pride or queer support groups because they're "in a heterosexual relationship." my heart goes out to every bisexual who views all of their modes of attraction as queer and those around them do not respect that.

my heart goes out to every bisexual. it is a challenge to be seen correctly as bi, and to not be harassed, mocked, or belittled for it. i see you for who you are- you are allowed to define your bisexuality. someone refusing to see you as bi doesn't mean you're not. you shouldn't have to prove your bisexuality or perform it for anyone. it's not up for debate. i hope things get a bit easier for you soon. you are bisexual no matter what anyone else says

I came out as bi as a young teenager around 2004ish and people genuinely didn't believe it was a real thing. Thankfully it has got more widely accepted.

However there's a new problem I've had in queer spaces when people who hear you are bi & say "Don't you mean Pansexual???"

"NO! DID I STUTTER!? I have fought for that lable and damnnit I'm Bi! ...And before you say anything, it is trans inclusionary and I am nonbinary, so stick your annoyingly- gorgeous flag in your pipe and smoke it! "

(For the record I do think pan people are awesome, I've just had enough flack over the years about being bi, I don't need it from queer people too!)

this is how i feel too, i just wanted to share some extra thoughts on this

i was coming to terms with being bi right in the 2010s, when the term pansexual started gaining widespread usage. at the time, i was horrifically confused as a genderqueer trans person that "Bisexual" was being called a "trans exclusive" identity. i remember being told by friends at the time that i should switch to calling myself pansexual because other people would view me as a transphobe if i didn't. me. a trans person. trans people can be transphobic, but as a genderqueer person, i was not seeing bisexuality the way other people were

bisexuality has a LONG history and culture. it's not to say that pansexuality's relatively short history means it's an invalid attraction. it's not- pansexuality is totally fine. but some people are really drawn to the history and culture of bisexuality. for most of us, bisexual is the first multispectrum label we learn. it's a term that has a lot of presence and rightfully so. it was the first multispectrum community we ever had to go to

like you, i fought to reclaim bisexuality and say that i'm bi and proud. the term i specifically was wrestling with for all those years was bisexual. i was questioning being bi when i came out. for years, i wanted to identify as bisexual, but couldn't because i felt i wasn't "bi enough". when i wanted to come out as bi, it was being seen as a "fad" that you "grow out of". i want to fight for my bisexuality. it's mine. i don't have to call it pansexuality if i don't want to.

as a matter of fact- i'm a t4t bisexual. i define my bisexuality as being a gay man and a lesbian, but also being attracted to all trans, genderqueer, and gender non conforming identities. like, it might blow some people's minds, but you don't *have* to identify as pansexual to include transness. all of my modes of attraction are t4t. it's not just men and women that i'm interested in! i'm bi, and this is how my bisexuality manifests. i define my bisexuality.
