[Though Tikal might worry she’s being selfish for it, getting complimented by someone other than Sonic or Tails is something she’s very much needed lately. After being treated so harshly by the anons and isolating herself, it’s made her feel normal again. Like a person, not some grey-faced anomaly’s plaything.

It shows in her expression, too. Though she’s staring at her sandals, the princess has a pleased smile on her face, pink dusted over her muzzle. Though she didn’t think her personal appearance was of much importance… Tikal found herself quite glad that the hedgehog had that opinion of her.

She looks up now, noticing Shadow’s own expression. He looks like he wanted to say more, to which she gives him a curious tilt of the head.]

[Shadow ducks his ears, averting his gaze once he notices Tikal meeting it. It's strange; he feels a bit of nervousness over his own words for once. He often carefully thinks them through, so this doesn't help him at all. What if he says the wrong thing? He doesn't want to end up offending her by accident -- or looking like an idiot.

It's funny. He's never been this consumed by his image to someone else. He'd gone and made a complete fool out of himself in front of Sonic before, and didn't bother hide the fact he liked chili dogs despite swearing them off earlier on. But now, now he wants to make sure every word is carefully picked.

Well, she's waiting, Shadow. Go ahead.]

... More specifically, I like the color of your eyes. Blue is one of my favorite colors -- and orange, as well. The way you carry yourself as well is...appealing. Can't be more precise than that.

You definitely stand out, though, believe me on that, and not in a negative way, either.
