I was in a rush to never feel the ache of my empty heart.. the loss of you and who I was. But no one could compete with you. How dare anyone even try.. how dare I even try? There’s no more us? Not even within us.
I couldn’t just bury this and cover it up.. I couldn’t run from the shock, the grief, the second guessing. I had to feel it all.
Slowly, my heart became mine. Tied to the love I create within me. Bound to the magic that’s hidden all around me. I became me.
