i really, really just meant to assign roles to characters for my clarity sake for my au, but i got carried away and ended up making explanations for almost everyone…

regardless, this was fun to do, im just tired & got lazy half way through because ive been at it for hours and its 5:30 in the morning…

please note im not a very analytical person, and im a bad writer so my words might not make sense, im sorry if its hard to read or understand

Imagine Firey and Gelatin having a much more complicated relationship because of the whole leafy thing. Like Gelatin currently thinks Firey stole the farm chunk because he wanted it but like what's gonna happen when he finds out it was to distract them from executing leafy. Like would he connect the dots to him being the one that kept recovering leafy and once he finds this out will he start to question if his friendship with firey was ever real or just something for cover.

The misconception for years and years has been that Firey doesnt care about Leafy, his treatment of her in BFB was totally unexplained and had no reason, or even that he did genuinely forget who she was.

THEN, after he DID explain how he was feeling- his uncomfortable resentment, his desire to be close with her but his fear of the reaction/retribution from their peers, the fact he was so closed off to even his own emotions for so many years he never even considered he was someone Leafy wanted around to the point him ignoring her would even affect her negatively (how low self esteem do you have to have to believe that wouldn't do anything to someone you care about? It really truly didn't even occur to him that him giving her the cold shoulder would upset her) - it wasnt enough for a large portion of the audience, because Leafy's suffering was so intense and given so much focus, it was inconceivable that Firey, who we subconsciously want to care for Leafy in a way we as the audience cannot, wouldn't do what we want him to do perfectly to fix things for her.

No matter that Firey as a character is not meant to revolve fully around Leafy and is not actually responsible for her, as shocking as it may seem. Firey is Not an audience stand-in that exists on Leafy's behalf. he is just a guy who was hurt by her as well, and had the narrative of BFB largely ignore how the effects of Leafy's vengeance on him took a toll on him. You have to actually pay attention to Firey's behavior in order to pick up on it, and when you only perceive Firey when you're watching for signs of him reacting to Leafy in some way, you're not going to notice him existing independently of her at all.

THEN we finally get to see an entire half season of Firey sticking his neck out for Leafy, recovering her when it's basically punishable by death to do so, saving her by distracting the others in stealing the farm, outwardly SHOUTING that of course he remembers Leafy, everything he's done he is doing for her 😭 and people still think he isnt doing enough compared to characters like Pin & Coiny, who OBVIOUSLY would treat her so much better .... what? They are actively trying to kill her of their own volition because they think she's a nuisance and the prospect of actually preserving her & helping her emotions become more stabilized is too difficult? They choose to treat her and her life with flippancy & show zero remorse or interest in her outside of what she can do for them, either as a host, helper, or teammate?

THANK YOU BFDIA for 13 years of an amazing and incredible series i cant believe its finally over im going to miss this season but im so happy to have been apart of it... so now i ask... do you love the colour of BFDIA?

this took me 30 hours total to finish and im so proud of it im sorry its such a big post but bfdia is my fav season of all time and i really wanted to comemorate it with one massive drawing >w< every single thing is drawn i didnt copy paste any assets its all drawn by hand i wish i could have included more iconic moments from the show but it would be even longer than it already is ;;

i drew this before the final episode released so idk who won yet as im typing this i love both characters so much so id be happy if either of them won i think i lean a little more towards book but id be just as happy if needle wins

I might actually be crazy, my character analysis tend to get delulu but like.....Does Firey somewhat feel like Leafy is his responsibility and him being put in a cage in idfb(while hasn't been confirmed for what he was in there for) could possible be where his behavior switch in bfb comes from. That because of Leafy he gets in trouble. Its her own fault nobody likes her so why is he suffering for something thats her fault...Like we've seen how he acts about situations falling on him like when tennisball told firey and gelatin to switch over to freesmart to retrieve the yoyleite from Ruby and he got mad because it was TENNISBALL'S idea which resulted in his elimination

I honestly love how leafy isnt your stereotypical cartoon plant most plant/nature themed characters in media are portrayed to be quiet, introverted, shy and timid....meanwhile leafy is like the exact opposite.😭
