when choosing (or judging) a film, i learned that apart from the director, you also have to look at the production house.

for example, if you want quality (well, sometimes hit-or-miss) horror films, check out those produced by blumhouse. for psychological horror and indie or emotional romance, go for a24. for smart action thrillers, maybe warner bros.

i'd also recommend exploring films from local independent production houses. low-budget ones often focus more on story rather than heavy production.

but then again, to each their own.

real. bloopers were literally emotional aftercare. you'd go from crying over a breakup scene to suddenly seeing the actors laughing and messing up lines. kumbaga, it resets your whole nervous system.

now credits just end and you're left there like… sige ok? wala talagang closure?

me, staring at the ceiling at 2:22 am, wondering how much peace i'm willing to trade just to let people in. because letting people in is nice. but sometimes it feels like i'm quietly clearing space for them to walk in and rearrange things i didn't say were up for grabs.

online numbers can really fuck you up when it comes to your creative work because you're sharing something you worked on with all your heart but it's very important to remember there's actual people behind those numbers. even if it's 1. that's one whole actual person. that's a human being who said "haha nice". that's a connection with a REAL person with a REAL life and REAL thoughts and feelings and experiences. like. damn. that should mean something

bakit ba niyo ako pinapaiyak? pero alam niyo naman diba, mahilig ako magstorytell. share ko lang: i got bullied in college for being so bad at my craft. i'm still carrying that feeling today. that's why oa ako when it comes to messages like these because it makes me sleep peacefully at night, knowing that, "okay, maybe i'm not that bad at my craft after all."

ako, hindi talaga eh. i always just want to go with the flow because, eventually, if you click, you click no matter what the topic is. i love being random. and i love it even more when i find someone who matches that energy and gives it right back.

kapag ako naglilinis o naghahanda ng lunch or dinner, nakikinig talaga ako ng specific song para ma feel ko yung nag aacting lang ako sa isang movie. ngayon, napili ko ang the reason ng hoobastank.

habang pinapainit ko kanin, na feel ko na isa akong bida sa movie na nakapag move on na tas napa smile nalang bigla kasi this is her moment. this is my moment. tapos slow mo pa yan.

one thing na natutunan ko doing this constantly is that, it's actually fun na di seryosohin yung buhay mo. it feels lighter to be quirky. like you have to live life like you are a character na lagi mong gusto for yourself.
