After Skye ordered her food she turned to Shaun, furrowing her eyebrows together. “Hey, man, you okay?”
"Uh… Yeah I’m fine. Sorry I just got dizzy for a second… I think I was seeing things." That was… strange. Going to the counter Shaun put the money down to pay for her food.
Skye's thoughts were solely focused on food, the energy she used up earlier that day making her hungrier than usual. However there was a nagging feeling in the back of her mind.
She wasn't very good at normal conversations and didn't say anything though it didn't stop this'd unnatural desire inside of her to get to know him better. She would've said this out loud if it didn't sound so damn embarrassing so instead she kept quiet as her food was given to her.
"Thanks, nerd—"
Nerd.
Where did that come from? She supposed it did fit him…
Turning back to the counter and ignoring the strange feeling of deja vu,the girl began to drool. “I want a lot of bacon on that one… ooh, and some extra cheese. And steak! Steak is good!”...
After Skye ordered her food she turned to Shaun, furrowing her eyebrows together. "Hey, man, you okay?"
Shaun had the sudden desire to spoil her. He wanted to buy her nice things and make her happy because he knew how much she liked being treated when someone wasn’t just trying to manipulate her.
Pulling out his wallet, Shaun laughed a little. “I’ve got it covered!”
"Thanks, nerd--"
Nerd.
Where did that come from? She supposed it did fit him...
Turning back to the counter and ignoring the strange feeling of deja vu,the girl began to drool. "I want a lot of bacon on that one... ooh, and some extra cheese. And steak! Steak is good!" She continued to order her sub, practically asking for anything that was considered meat.
Shaun took her hand and shook it with a smile. Good, this way he’d be able to try and figure out why she was so familiar while apologizing for running into her. “Of course! Besides, maybe we’ll be able to figure out why we seem so familiar to one another.” His smile grew wider. “Nice to meet you too Skye.”
With his hand in hers, Skye suddenly felt very dizzy, remembering a smiling face...
Shifting awkwardly at the other's cute stupid smile she started walking over the the counter. "Better get your wallet out 'cause I'm pretty hungry," she said.
Writing a theme does NOT automatically equal romanticizing it or approving of it. A dark/adult theme isn’t necessarily a writer’s “kink” if they write it. Sometimes they just think it’s important to the progression of their character and/or story. Take Stephen King, for example. Just because he writes horror doesn’t mean he approves of brutal, vicious murder and torture.
She seemed really nice and cute. Shaun smiled a little bit at her. “Well will you let me buy you your food since I bumped into you?” He was still going to take full blame for bumping into her. “Oh right! I’m Shaun, Shaun Norre. Who are you?”
Skye paused. Normally she'd tell a guy to butt out if he kept annoying her, not used to any acts of kindness. But... for some reason, she felt like this guy wasn't harmful in anyway. He was a blind, obviously socially awkward, nice kid and she... Well. Free food. "Ugh, sure. If it'll help clear your guilty conscious." She smirked. "Shaun, huh...? Nice to meet ya. I'm Skye." She held out a hand.
Thank goddess she wasn’t angry at him. “Thank you… I’m sorry again.” Blinking and looking at the girl, Shaun wasn’t sure. Her face was a little blurry without his glasses. “I don’t think so, but… I kind of feel like I know you from somewhere.”
"Y'know... I wasn't watching where I was going either. So it ain't all your fault." Skye commented with a frown. He sounds so wimpy, she thought, but it was like she's heard his voice before... She squinted her eyes and for a second she was about to just brush him off as someone who attends her fights... But he didn't seem like he was into underground female boxing. "Yeah..." She trailed off, looking at his eyes intensely. So familiar... "Uh... I uh... gotta go get some... food."
Shaun had horrible eye-sight. In fact, he was essentially blind without his glasses, which of course he had misplaced. At least he had been able to pick up some food to eat. Trying to be a writer took up most of him time. Going towards the door, somewhat blindly, Shaun felt himself bump into something. Jumping back, Shaun quickly apologized. “I’m sorry! Oh dear I hope I didn’t hurt you. I lost my glasses and I’m basically blind without themandohmygoshi’msosorry.”
Skye blinked.
"Um." She blinked again. "Apology... accepted?" Why was he apologizing so much she gets tackled by girls three times her size every day. "Hey... have we met before or somethin'?" she asked suddenly, a feeling of nostalgia rushing over her. It was like she's seen him before...
AU
Skye walked home, just like she usually did, from the fight ring with a few bruises and a sack of money hidden underneath her coat. Just like every day when she'd win a fight, she'd reward herself by stopping by the subway down the street from her apartment and getting a late night snack. She opened the door triumphantly, already imagining the triple meat sub in her mouth, and stopped when she noticed a boy. Huh... Never seen him before.
Last one (seriously)…
In honor of No Shave November, or in this case, Movember.

[I was going through my school stuff and found something I wrote at school out of boredom. Its basically just explaining the dif. Between Skye and Zaniel.] Skye: She's dark. And her darkness blinds her. Oblivion is something Skye fears & yet welcomes. She is constantly in the dark & secret. Her world is shrouded & isolated from others - making her bitter and distrustful. Yet, she is innocent. Innocent of the light and the enlightenment that will surely pain her.
