“O-okay…” Kazé‘s voice had a deep tone of resolution. Her response was so simple and open ended… Yet her voice sounded so confident as she answered that he felt no need to question why her statement sounded so unfinished. Or maybe, that was the conclusion and it just didn’t satisfy him. “Rumors, huh? I’ve never really been one to pay attention to those. It’s just gossip about one thing or another, heh.’

[-✗-] Minako was relieved he didn’t press her for details.  Her response had been extremely open ended, and close to the truth after all.  She smiled and relaxed some more as their conversation continued.  “Yes rumors do tend to usually be a bunch of lies, but I heard it from a trusted friend that doesn’t just believe anything.” she explained.

She wouldn’t go into detail of course, but she could give him that much of the truth at least. [- ♚ -]

“H-hello there and good a-afternoon.” the nurse smiled at the girl as she turned her head and noticed the other walking into the nurse’s office. After quickly rushing over to the girl she introduced herself, “I’m Tsumiki Mikan and I h-help out down here as the assistant nurse. It’s certainly a p-pleasure to meet you and if there’s anything a-at all that I can help you with just let me know. I’ll b-be more than glad to lend you a h-hand.”

[-✗-] Minako winced at the pain in her ankle.  She’d been so clumsy as to sprain it earlier.  She had to go to tarturus tonight, and couldn't afford the injury in battle.  Reluctantly, she headed to the school’s nurse’s office.  The nurse was kind enough, and the brunette smiled at her.  “Hello, it’s great to meet you Tsumiki San.  My name is Minako Arisato.  I don’t think I’ve seen you around before.” She smiled and held her hand out in an offer to shake hands.

“I’m afraid I was kind of a klutz and sprained my ankle.  I just need some ice and maybe some aspirin if you have some.” She smiled, taking a seat in the office. [- ♚ -]

“Hehehe.” Kazé chuckled at Minako’s mishap of words and added, “Bad medicine, huh? Drugs with a side-effect or something?” Kazé‘s curiosity was evident in his tone of voice. “You’re not gettin’ into anything dangerous, now are you?” He had a silly tone as he spoke but there was some seriousness to his words.

[-✗-] Minako was relieved to hear that he wasn’t around the persona user drugs, but really, why had she been worried?  Normal people didn’t even know of the existence of personas, so she really shouldn’t have gotten so scared, but she did care for her friend’s health and well being.  She relaxed more into the sink, but stiffened at his next words.

She didn’t want to lie.  Her friends’ deserved the truth, even the ones at school. “Don’t worry about me Kaze kun.  I’m smart enough to not take on more than I can handle.  It was simply a rumor I heard.” That was true enough.  The sees leader hadn’t had any personal contact with the drugs so far, but she believed Shinjiro when he said they were becoming a huge issue. [- ♚ -]

“Huh, yeah, they do seem pretty busy today. I couldn’t even get Yosuke-senpai t’say hi with me, said he had to work or somethin’.” Kanji raised an eyebrow at the idol, his face questioning her choice of words. “Uh, a hot action movie? Ya mean like, where there’s a lot of action? Sure I guess we can do that, ain’t like I had anythin’ else planned today.”

[- ✗-]Rise giggled softly at his response.  “Yes hot, as in popular Kanji Kun.  Don’t you know anything about slang terms?” She teased him, but was greatful that he had accepted.  She was feeling kind of lonely honestly.  She’d come all the way back, and none of her senpai were even here, so she was happy that Kanji was at least.

“Well, let’s go then!  My scooters not too far away.  You should go get yours and we can meet up back here.” She offered. [-ღ-]

“Heh, thanks Mimi, I appreciate you being there.” Kazé pondered at what his littke sister might be doing. He thought about giving her a call, but each time he talked himself out of it as to avoid making any awkward situations. “Yeah, it was fun having her around. Never a dull moment, but after our parents passed, our grandparents couldn’t afford to keep both of us so I decided to live off by myself and finish school so I wouldn’t be a burden.” Kazé had gotten a bit comfortable and realized how gloomy the conversation had gotten. “I’m sorry, I’m probably sounding like a real downer now! A quick subject change should lighten things up, hehe. As for the medicine, it’s just something to take care of cold symptoms. I got it about a month ago, after pushing myself too hard while studying for exams. Stress sucks, man!” Kazé chuckled while lathering up the ends of Minako’s hair.

[-✗-] She shook her head gently, careful not to get the conditioner get in her eyes.  “Don’t apologize.  I just told you, you’re welcome to vent or talk to me.” She said, smiling.  Minako enjoyed all her conversations with her social link representitives, but she especially enjoyed listening to Kaze talk, though maybe she simply enjoyed the sound of his voice.

“Good.”  She mentally facepalmed, realizing she’d sounded like she’d been happy about his cold.  “I mean..  I’ve heard about some bad medicine going around and just wanted to make sure you were clear of it.” There, that was a solid truth, though she didn’t need to mention their connections with personas.   [- ♚ -]

[-✗-] Minako smiled warmly at her senpai, overjoyed that he’d accepted her invite.  “Yes, lets!” She agreed, walking towards the school’s exit.  The brunette looked back quickly to make sure Akihiko was following, and then took off at a brisk pace towards the beef bowl shop.

“The weather is nice today.” She said, stretching her arms out into the sky as she walked.  The breeze felt nice, and it was sunny, but not too hot.  “The walk will do us good too.  Hopefully it’ll help work off those beef bowls.” The sees leader joked.   [- ♚ -]

Akihiko walked behind her in silence for a short time, until he felt the need to pick up the pace slightly to walk beside her.

“Yeah, the weather’s not too bad.”, he couldn’t help but grin at watching her stretch her arms upwards, “Though we’d have to do more than just a simple walk to work off the beef bowls.”, he bumps his shoulder with his elbow, “Hey I know, I’ll race race ya!”, and off he starts, doing a brisk jog with his jacket still over his shoulder.

[-✗-]Minako smiled, enjoying the simple conversation, until Akihiko sprinted off, keen on racing.  She giggled when she saw his expression.  He was so full of passion, and strength.   Her giggle turned into a smirk of anticipation however, and she took off at full speed.  “You’re on!”  Once Akihiko Sanada made up his mind, there was no telling him otherwise.  Besides, she enjoyed a good challenge.

The brunette couldn’t think of another woman that would accept such a challenge, much less be able to keep up with him, but her training as leader of sees gave her an edge over any normal female.  She caught up with him, and laughed, enjoying the feel of the wind on her face.  Who knew running could be so fun?  “So.. What do I get if I win?” She huffed the question out, her breathing erratic from the exercise, but she still kept her pace next to him.   [- ♚ -]

Kanji rubbed the back of his neck, “Well, it was mostly as a welcome back present, but I didn’t finish it in time. Been sorta busy with running the store when Ma has errands t’run. Sorry for spoilin’ it I guess, but I’ll just wait until it’s finished. Only take me a couple days.”

[- ✗-] “Roger that!” Rise playfully saluted, happy to wait and see the beautiful work he would come up with.  She really did enjoy his unique art.  

The brunette frowned, realizing that they had never hung out like this before, just the two of them.  It made her fidget, a bit embarrassed and shy now that she’d come to the realization, contrary to her usual outgoing self. 

“Um.. I guess the other senpai are busy right now, so why don’t we go to Okina Theater.  I hear they’re playing a pretty hot action movie right now.  How about it?” She offered. moving past her shyness with some Risette oomph.  She could do this.  She believed in herself, and besides, it was just Kanji.  She’d known him for a couple of years now. Sorry I haven’t been on in so long.  I went to fanime con, and after that, I’ve worked literally everyday, except the two days I went with my bestie to her bachelorette party.  Her wedding is in 3 weeks and I’m the maid of honor so I’ve been super busy with that.  I’m also quitting one job and starting two new ones so bleh super busy. x-x I’ll get to some replies now though, and you’ll just have to be patient with my slow ass.

Minato nodded in return to the girl’s questions. “Yes, He’s my Senpai, as is Mitsuru, the red headed woman,” They had tried to recruit the girl then. He wondered why it hadn’t worked or why the two of them hadn’t mentioned it to the rest of them. It wasn’t like them to be secretive about potential new members.

“Have you seen the tower?” He motioned in the general direction of the school. In the distance, the top of the tower could be seen, looming over the city. “That’s Tartarus. It’s a place filled with shadows. Part of being a member of S.E.E.S. is exploring it, because it might hold some answers about the Dark Hour and about Shadows.”

[-✗-] She nodded.  She’d figured as much.  It didn’t seem like there were too many others aware of the dark hour, so of course they would band together.  She’d been worried about joining up with the others when she’d met them the other day.  Since the highschooler had gotten here, she’d been confused and scared by the dark hour, and just wanted to stay inside and hide.  She’d never been like that before though, and besides, wouldn’t she be safer with others like herself?

“That’s the tower they were talking about then.. No perhaps labyrinth is a better fitting term for it by the way they described it.”  Her hues narrowed at the tower in the distance.  The thing was huge and creepy, but she was done running.  “I turned your friends down.. Because I was scared.” She admitted.  “I’m done running now though.  I have this ability just like you guys do, and I want to use it to help people” Minako decided. [- ♚-]

“Hmm….” Kazé‘s scepticism shows in his voice, since he’s always had a thing for reading people, and thought there was possibly more but he’s never been one to pry. “I guess I’ll take your word for it, heh, but just know, I’ll always be here if you need something to talk about something.” Kazé smiled through his worry for her. “I have some medicine to help if you need it, Mimi.” He spread his fingers through her hair. “Sorry, if I got a littler personal there, I’m just glad you’re feeling better though!” Kazé‘s fingers moved on their own and it seemed to be doing something right with the way Minako was enjoying it. “I’m actually pretty glad that you’re so accepting of this. I only used to do this for my little sister, but considering I haven’t seen her in such a long time, I feel a bit out of practice.”

[-✗-] Minako could tell Kaze was still worried, and was grateful he dropped it.  She wished she could tell someone outside of sees about the shadows and her saving the world, but she was sworn to secrecy.  He probably wouldn’t believe her anyway.  His next words worried her a little in turn though.  “Medicine?  What kind?” She asked.  The group of 3 persona users outside of their own, and Shinji had been taking different medicenes with adverse affects, but she quickly pushed her worries aside.That had only been because they were persona users right?

  “Likewise, if you ever have any worries or concerns, please feel free to vent to me or ask me for advice.”  She smiled at his next words.  “I never had any siblings.  It must be nice.” She said, her smile turning a bit sadder. Her parents were long since dead too.  [- ♚ -]
