I love when Priest's pairs have these brief moments when they are casually talking and they suddenly start smiling/laughing in the most carefree way to show that they are in the same page or very comfortable around each other in that scene. I just love the simplicity of these affectionate gestures. I love their interactions.

Pei Su's first night at Lwz's. He's firmly in the center of the bed.

In the next shot he's slightly closer to the edge (which looks like a continuity error) but still is nearly in the center.

In the next episode (when he wakes up to Lwz hiding in the study with the newly discovered materials) he's firmly on one side. While the other side is all messed up.

Later when he returns to the bedroom all subdued.

A continuity error again, but kinda funny this time. Did he just spread the cover over Lwz's empty side to seal him from getting back there or what? 😅

Rewatching episode 30 because I apparently love to hurt myself of fic writing purposes and I realize:

This is probably the most obvious moment we have that Pei Su actually does consider Zhang Donglan as his friend, no matter what he says later on in the episode.

It’s clear that even though ZDL was never in any physical danger, his world is about to be shattered and PS regrets that even though he knows it’s necessary.

I just - ughhhhh the acting in this entire sequence was absolutely brilliant. Every micro expression tells us just what Pei Su is thinking and god Zhang Xincheng is a genius for this.

Also because man, I cried again while rewatching. The music really didn’t help any 😭
