Tips on How to Never Grow Up (from an official grown-up)

Wear cute socks. Even if you're a boy. Slap some cute frogs on those toes.

Listen to Disney music. Roll the windows down and turn up the volume.

Eat off of kid plates.

Order off the kids menu. You want the smiley face ice cream? You go for it.

Go to Build-a-Bear. Do the heart ceremony.

Be like a kid in a candy store when in a candy store.

If you see a hopscotch, do the hopscotch.

Laugh. No...giggle. Enjoy yourself.

Colour with crayons.

Play in the dirt.

Buy kids body wash and proudly smell like a strawberry.

Go to the playground. Swing as high as you can. Jump.

If you find your Little is struggling to show you attention because of life’s responsibilities then the worse thing to do is hound and demand the attention.

Littles .. the same goes for you. If you find your Caregiver/mommy/daddy struggling to show you attention because of real life responsibilities the worst thing to do is demand the attention or make them feel guilty

There needs to be a strong level of trust and open communication in all relationships. both parties should approach with compassion and either admit that they can no longer give the other the attention that should be given or be strong enough to recognize and set the other free.

Setting free not with drama or anger.. but love and respect. In doing so you both can heal past the hurt and not be scarred.

We are after all.. people not possessions.. and while you may posses their hearts you are but the guardian not the owner..
