I'm going to make this clear.

I've fully decided that making an ask box would be pointless, since there's a chance that there's going to be someone out there who is going to cause trouble in said ask box...

This is for many reasons, and this seems to be the most healthiest solution to many issues; so, Here's some advice for those who are also willing to make these types of blogs:

-Keep an eye on your submissions.

Trust me, it's much more easier than managing an Ask Box and anons. Also? if there IS an anon? there's a way that they would contact. however, it's also the perfect way to get them off of your tail. It's a warning sign of sorts that you have a trigger that may be returning to you. If you don't completely trust someone? then please drop everything examine them before taking action.

-Close your personal ask box

I know it might be tough, but it might be the best thing to do right now. If you don't feel comfortable? then try to keep yourself secure, at least for now? I would personally close the Ask box until you can slowly open yourself up towards others. Stay on guard, however. There are still people out there that cover themselves with a mask.

-Open up IMs/DMs to certain people (that you trust)

I don't have anyone on Tumblr that I trust as of now. I want to trust people, but I can't. However, with how toxic it could be sometimes? It's reasonable as to why I can't trust anyone. I'm very insecure. With everything that has happened? We don't know who we can turn to for guidance. Unless they were friends that we have trusted through other places. (which I have, just not here. I don't want them to be exposed to the toxicity)

-Examine previous asks (look for a pattern)

There's a certain way that people speak when asking on a blog. If there's a familiar pattern? try to attach those together, see if they're the exact same person. Chances are? They may or may not be. The real way to tell this is to examine these asks carefully. Though? There's one funny thing about this. One anon could try and mimic another anon, framing them as a result. There is an entire site dedicated to anons, and you never truly know who is who. This is why I never trust being anonymous anywhere without a name to separate myself. You never know who is who, and even with a pattern? they catch onto it quickly. You better watch out what you say before figuring out who it is. You might be predicting the wrong person.

-Remain cautious, no matter what.

There are many people out there on the internet; including alt accounts, we all have to watch out with what we're sent, including what we're sending. Otherwise, (y)our accounts end up in danger. So, always remain cautious and stay safe. Also, another thing to note: some people aren't active on some socials; either that, or they do other things on them. best if you don't mess with those. besides, they probably use them for other reasonings; maybe they're doing business, or just trying to be normal, have fun, and/or make friends... ...or even have a place to cope. It's best to only block their account and remain cautious of their activities.
