ADAM’s Angels
『 MIFUNE 』 :
Every day Leliel finds himself questioning more and more if this is truly a species on the brink of mastering space exploration. Their brains must be more feeble than Leliel could ever imagine. The shito sniffs ⋯not quite in disdain but close to it.
“People should stare. We want our good words to reach them. Our Goth spell is for all to consume.”
Really, Shinji is there for the sake of appearances. Leliel’s influence and almost paranormal powers of persuasion will seem suspicious if he convinces many, many Lilim today to join ADAM’s Angels all on his own, with but a thought.
“Well then. Do you need me to help you into your clothing garments?”

HE CAN FEEL
Miyabi’s frustration, so he figures it’s best not to hesitate any longer ( even if he still doesn’t quite understand what he’s being asked to do…not completely ). But he doesn’t exactly want to be stared at, either. He’s not the one to ask to attract attention, but he supposes he doesn’t have much of a choice.
Upon the offer to help him change, Shinji reflexively shakes his head, suddenly looking mildly perturbed. ❝ N — No, it’s alright. I-I can do it myself. ❞ And with that, he disappears behind the front door, staring down at the garment for a long time before going to change.
He reemerges later, keenly aware of how much he will stick out, but hoping he will at least understand what’s going on when they get to wherever they’re going. He doesn’t say anything or even meet Miyabi’s eyes, but he waits for him to lead the way.
Leliel nods approvingly when he sees that Shinji has donned the garments. These Lilim need all of the encouragement they can get, especially this one. “Good,” he says, curt. “We are going downtown to spread our message.”
He stuffs a stack of flyers into Shinji’s hands. “Make sure you pass these out after our demonstration.”
When they arrive at Shibuya, there are people gathered around the giant globe-shaped vehicle parked in the middle of the intersection. Ah, good. It has not been hauled away by the authorities.
Leliel places a headband on Shinji’s head, two antennae sticking out of the fabric. “Board the simulation White Moon and come out when I say, ‘And the good people landed upon Earth.’ Okay? Can you do that?”
He ushers Shinji toward the entrance of the strange aircraft and raises his voice. “Lilim! I call upon you to listen to your origin story. Let us begin with the tale of the First Ancestors ⋯ ”
Some time later, Leliel shouts, “And the good people landed upon Earth.”
He waits.
Again, he yells, “I said, ‘And the good people landed upon Earth!’“
