Social Media
My opinions on social media have changed, although I never thought about it negatively but i thought that we can always come up with a new way to use it for beneficial. The Tumblr project helped me to see new ways of using social media for education purposes.
I disagree with the people that look negatively at social media  because that is not the only way it could be used and the have no reason to say that it isn't useful because it depends on how the person or user uses it . Social Media can help us relate to other people all around the world,by several ways and one of them is educating, you can learn so many things by arguing and seeing different opinions. Social media is a useful way to look up different ways of learning new things.
Christopher and his family
Christopher is an intelligent boy that shows his best at all times, I like him because he wanted to reveal the truth about a murder that happened to an innocent dog called wellington, but instead he finds much more than he ever expected about his family. Christopher found the truth that was hidden from him for maybe many years.
Christopher’s father lied to his son about his mother being alive, he told him that his mother died by getting a heart attack. I think that his father loved him so much, so he thought that he is protecting his son by hiding the truth from him, which is a wrong to do so I don't really like his father I think he is over protective, and his father wasn't honest from the beginning. Christopher had the right to know about his mother and the letters she sent weekly.
A mother that left her son to have a better life tells us that she is irresponsible and that she couldn’t take care of her own son and especially that Christopher had a special condition called Asperger’s Syndrome. I don't like Christopher’s mother because she couldn’t take care of him and she left the house when Christopher was really young, she was also always screaming and shouting at the house because she gets angry really quickly, but that is not an excuse.
Both Christopher parents are bad because they couldn't provide for him full protection so he was insecure most of the time the also couldn’t take care of him properly. They are adults so they should know what is wrong from right, I'm not saying that they don’t do mistakes, but they should’ve thought really well before making those huge big mistakes that they have done, and they should’ve tried to control themselves more often, I do blame them for making this life much harder for their son, and for not thinking before doing those horrible mistakes. They both didn't know the value of Christopher no matter how much he loved them both.Â
“Violence can be a reasonable response to an unreasonable situation.“
I disagree with this saying, because I do not believe that violence is a way of solving anything, no matter what is it. I strongly believe that in any situation we might ever face in our lives, we should never use violence as an answer. When the British were in India, Gandhi told India not to fight them with violence, although it took a while but finally they convinced the English.
I have always seen violence as a weak way a person can use to force his authority, or state his opinion on someone. I believe that using words and logic is way more smarter and braver. Violence doesn’t make someone stronger, it just shows how weak they are in actually facing the truth. Some people say that when someone hits you, hit them back. I DO NOT think that this is a way in solving the problem, it is just a way to make it even worse that how it actually was.Â
In the Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night Time, where Christopher hit the police officer because he did not like it when the police man had touched him. And by that Christopher got into deep trouble just because he hit a police man. I do realize that Christopher has a special condition, but this example shows how violence is used to solve a situation. It also shows that violence that using violence doesn’t get you anywhere, it rather makes the problem even worse.
In conclusion I would say that I am totally against people who use violence as an answer. And like Gandhi said “I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.”
i agree with you because violence doesn't solve any problems that we might have, and Violence is not the way you would like to be treated with, so treat others the way you want to be treated. Using violence make problems much more complicated than they were before. In my point of view i think that being understandable to the situation you’re in is much better, it will help us figure the answers we have been waiting to know.
Isolation
Chapter 3:
I knew that it meant "happy," like when I'm reading about the Apollo space missions, or when I am still awake at three or four in the morning and I can walk up and down the street and pretend that I am the only person in the world.
Christopher likes to be alone so he loved the idea of him being the only person left on the planet, and not being able to communicate with other people in the World.
Chapter 71:
“Then, when I've got a degree in Maths, or Physics, or Maths and Physics, I will be able to get a job and earn lots of money and I will be able to pay someone who can look after me and cook my meals and wash my clothes, or I will get a lady to marry me and be my wife and she can look after me so I can have company and not be on my own.”
Christopher prefers being alone whenever he possibly can. But look – he practically equates hiring a live-in maid with getting a wife! This makes it pretty clear that he really has no interest living with anyone, but knows he's unable of living alone.
Chapter 83:
“To be a good astronaut you have to be intelligent and I’m intelligent. You also have to understand how machines work and I’m good at understanding how machines work. You also have to be someone who would like being on their own in a tiny spacecraft thousands and thousands of miles away from the surface of the earth and not panic or get claustrophobia or homesick or insane. And I like really little spaces, so long as there is no one else in them with me. “
The quote shows that Christopher likes being alone, because in the quote he states that astronauts should be all alone in space and this is one of the reasons why he wants to an astronaut, good one indeed.Â
Christopher prefers to be alone, but he knows he is unable to take care of himself.
Christopher likes to be alone and prefers isolation but he is not capable of taking care of himself and also he because of his condition Asperger’s Syndrome, so he can’t really be independent. A person with Asperger’s Syndrome is bot able to do several things like talking to other people and communicate with them , discovering to new places, and not being able to use their imagination they only face and know reality. So Christopher needs to overcome his adversity to be independent and take care of him self for others to not control him.
Why is Christopher okay with touching animals, but not humans?
Christopher is okay with touching animals because he understands them by their body languages and feelings expressed that never change like the dog has only three ways to express him self so they have honesty and could never lie, that is how Christopher know. Human feelings are much more complex than animals so not all humans can understand each other because each person has a different point of view and other feelings that they are worried or dealing with, so human emotions can not be understood by everyone.
Jason Lester Overcoming Adversity:
Article: Â https://www.guideposts.org/5-keys-to-success-advice-for-overcoming-adversity?nopaging=1Â
Jason Lester’s is an  award-winning athletic in 2009 for “Best Disabled Male Athlete.”. At the age of 12 he was struck by a speeding car that ran a red light. He ended up in the hospital with 20 broken bones and a paralyzed right arm.
He over came his adversity through hard times, because his father passed away shortly after the accident. Jason built the strength to make his dream come true and by not refusing to give up the love of sports by his father. He stared training really hard for the Ironman in 2004, and since then he has been competing in extreme races. In 2008, Jason became the first disabled athlete to complete the Ultraman (320 miles of biking, swimming, and running).
Jason has worked really hard to get to this position that he is in now, he never gave up no matter what obstacles he had to face. An inspirational story like this could never be forgotten. Jason has advanced many people to get up and work make the miracle they have been waiting for themselves by giving them five Keys to Success, Listen to your voice, Follow the spirit, Believe that someone’s got your back, Just say yes, and never stop.Â
The book:
Christopher overcomes his adversity by talking to strangers which he hates to do but he had to talk to them, because he is doing some investigating to write his book and find out who murdered Wellington.
So both the article and the book are trying their best to achieve what they want and to reach the goal they have set, they both faced some obstacles because of the fear they had, but at the end they overcome it and get their prizes. For Christopher the prize was a little different because he has been hiding the book and not wanting to tell anyone about it until his father saw it and got angry.
Violence can be a reasonable response to an unreasonable situation.
I disagree with this quote because violence isn't the way to get answers of what a person might ask, most people when they don't get the answer they want they use violence which could cause bigger problems.
It’s unreasonable to use violence in any situation, hatred and revenge will be the answer to the person who uses violence, like when Christopher’s father hit him because he lied to him about the book and did some investigating. which Christopher hated the way his father treated him, but thankfully he apologized after but it’s not something to forget.  The response of Christopher’s father was not reasonable because why would he hit his son instead of talking to him and know why he did investigating even though his father told him not to.Â
Violence is not the way you would like to be treated with so treat others the way you want to be treated.
Christopher Overcoming Adversity
“And I know I can do this because I went to London on my own, and because I solved the mystery of Who Killed Wellington? and I found my mother and I was brave and I wrote a book and that means I can do anything.” —  Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
This quote is overcoming adversity because Christopher was suppose to not find the killer and was not suppose to investigate but he overcome his fear of that by being curious and he wrote a book about it which is great, he also talked to people to get to London until he found the place and got there. After all of that he found his mother and I think he has never been happier. There is nothing that can stop Christopher now.
What decision does Christopher make? Why does he make this decision?
Chapter:179
Christopher made a decision of not coming back home and go to London where his mother lives because he doesn't want to go back home and face his father after he knew that his father is the one who killed Welington and has hidden the truth about his mother. That is why he went to Mrs.Alexander to take care of Toby.
Mrs.Alexander said, "So, why are you going to London?"
Christopher said, "I'm going to live with Mother."
Mrs.Alexander said, "I thought you told me your mother was dead."
Christopher said, "I thought she was dead, but she was still alive. And Father lied to me. And also he said he killed Wellington."
Mrs. Alexander said, "Oh, my goodness."
Christopher said, "I'm going to live with my mother because Father killed Wellington and he lied and I'm frightened of being in the house with him."
“Lying is always wrong: White lies and lies of omission are as immoral as outright lies.”
Lying is the only thing that breaks the trust of who we love, just like when Christopher trusted his father but when he found the truth, all that love was gone in just a second. For example When Christopher’s father said, "I'm sorry, Christopher. I'm so, so sorry." "You read the letters." Then he said, "I did it for your good, Christopher. Honestly I did. I never meant to lie. I just thought. . . I just thought it was better if you didn't know. . . that. . . that. . . I didn't mean to . . . I was going to show them to you when you were older.", I believe that Christopher had the right to know about his mother, but then his father said "It was an accident.". This broke all the trust of what Christopher had for his father.
White lies are the truth but not all of it and white lies are the first lead to the actual lie for the person to find the truth, like what happened about the book Christopher was writing led to the situation about his own mother being still alive. I agree with this quote because it is the truth about lies and white lies.

Christopher’s Relationship With His Father
Chapter:127
Christopher gets home and start watching  a video called the Blue Planet, later on his father comes home and goes to the kitchen and saw Christopher’s book that he forgot in the kitchen and he was hiding from his father because it’s about who murdered Wellington. His father read through the book and was angry because he asked Christopher to say what he wasn’t suppose to do and Christopher did explain so his father said " You knew exactly what you were bloody doing. I've read the book, remember." And when he said this he held up the book and shook it. "What else did I say, Christopher?” and Christopher explains more. After that his father holds Christopher’s arm really hard but Christopher hits him and do it again, later Christopher saw his self on a carpet after about a minute his father turned and walked through to the kitchen. Then he unlocked the back door into the garden and went outside. Christopher  heard him lift the lid of the dustbin and drop something into it and put the lid of the dustbin back on. Then his father came into the kitchen again, but he wasn't carrying the book anymore.Â
Christopher’s father knows about the book and investigating around people while he told Christopher not to, and he throws his book in the dustbin. We can tell that there relationship is not good because they fought and each one is angry from the other.
How Christopher Feel About The World Around Him
“Prime numbers are what is left when you have taken all the patterns away. I think prime numbers are like life. They are very logical but you could never work out the rules, even if you spend all your time thinking about them.” —  Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
Christopher describes his life as prime numbers because they have rules to figure them out, and it needs thinking to find it out. Christopher likes rules, They make everything around organized. Prime numbers are exactly like life because we need to plan for things to work out before it happens, but if you get it wrong you need to find another way to get it right, until you reach your goal that you have set, just like you did before working out the prime numbers.
