SW: I was really mad for like a day and then I got over it. TJ: Were you actually annoyed? SW: I was like: ‘Shut up, Theo! Don’t tell me to do 20 push-ups in front of all these people.’ TJ: That’s awesome! That’s amazing! Oh, I enjoy that.

Endless pictures of Shailene Woodley (2 / ? )
Debates can be a little daunting, depending, but it’s nice to know people who aren’t exactly the same as you. I would be so bored of all my friends were carbon copies.
I guess sometimes. I find them interesting, though. As long as they're calm and reasonable and not too heated, you know?
Yes, I can totally see that. You need to get that outfit and wear it for Halloween. That would be adorable! How about the 20’s? Jazz music, baby.
Go as a little country girl for Halloween? What's her name...There was that TV show House on the Prairie. I don't remember. Oh yeah, I was thinking that! The era right before the Great Depression, everyone just partied.
Baseball season is coming up pretty soon! I gotta start getting ready for a protine only died for the remainder of the season. Which is fine by me, I like foods with protines in it. Nice to meet you, Shailene! Didn’t you star in Divergent?
Oh, are you a baseball player? That's cool. I get that, though, on a smaller scale, because I have to be in shape for some of my movies. Nice to meet you, too. I did, yeah! I'm assuming you saw it?
Nope, it’s not, it’s not
It is. Because if you expect the unexpected, it becomes the expected, and not the unexpected. It's a paradox.
We do! This is how true friendships are built.
Agreed. If two people are really similar, I feel like they run out of things to talk about. There's no room for discussion or debates.
Everyone always thinks/says that, and I often do, too, but does anyone consider the ramifications? You would have far, far fewer rights in any of the eras that you mentioned. 2015 isn’t looking so bad, I can vote, I can have sex without some guy’s ring on my finger, I have yet to be persecuted for being Hindu.
Oh no, definitely. I've been saying that, like, when you're looking at different time periods you've gotta remember stuff like that. I'm definitely glad we live in a society where racism, homophobia, and sexism are all basically nonexistent. But it's kinda fun to disregard all that and just look at the enjoyable parts of other periods.
Only five… you’re pretty optimistic. I think ancient Greece is better.
Maybe 7 if my husband's a good lover. And I don't hit menopause early. Ancient Greece would be cool, too, but only if I'm a Goddess.
The expectations on women in those days was pretty scary to b fair. I’d go with the 1800 watching all the impressionist art come to pass but before the world wars don’t think I would do very well in the battle fields. Or maybe the 70’s so I could live though the great music of those days.
Yeah, definitely. For the purposes of this discussion, though, I've decided to disregard all the shitty stuff of the past. Because that's boring, man, obviously. That would be really neat, yeah, like The Renaissance period kind of thing? Ooh, yeah, that wouldn't have been a fun time to live through. The 70s would have been so fun because it was the era of hippies. I'm basically already a hippie, so...I'd fit right in.
That would been amazing to live through. Can we invent a time machine to make this happen for you? Seriously. I haven’t really thought about it!
Can't you just see me in my little maiden dress churning butter and picking berries and hanging out? I'd love it, honestly. Send me back! Kidding, I like it here, too. Think about it now! It's interesting to think about.
Agh… I don’t know if I should burst your pretty pink bubble then or not. Spoiler alert: everyone else most likely is on, although it’s nothing fancy, and I don’t know if I can claim if you’re missing out. How badly do you wanna know?
....Pretty pink bubble? Last time I checked, I didn't have one of those, so...Maybe you should remove your rose-tinted glasses and look again. Not particularly badly; I'm sure I'll survive without this knowledge.
If a time machine was a part of this, i’d be afraid i’d change something if i went back in time, so basically, i’d wanna just reenact the movie back to the future.
True, true. But that happens in Back to the Future, though, they change the past by accident and he's almost un-born.
Good I don’t care. Yes we can hangout on a beach but it’ll have wifi. Yes I remember we’re the worst royals. We’ll truly never be Royals, sorry Lorde.
That defeats the whole purpose! You're ridiculous, man. What's the longest you've gone without technology? Be honest. Sorry Lorde, yeah, I'm sure she's really disappointed.
Any time period for me would be fine, I don’t know about people who had very little rights thought. I ain’t about that churning butter life.
Any time period except one where you had to churn butter, then? Or do any work, basically, right?
I would love to live about forty years ago. Time was simpler then, and I think we had phones and stuff, and letter writing. So it feels more like a romantic era, and it feels like people really made the effort to stay in touch and speak you know?
Letter writing is great! I always get so excited when I receive a letter, honestly. It's so much cooler than an email or a text. I get what you mean, yeah, people cared more about each other, in a sense. Aside from homophobia and racism, of course.....
Life back in the Industrial Revolution would definitely be different considering the fact that there would also be heavy labor and different styles too. The marriage part, not so cool. I don’t know. Since I’ve been so used to being onstage acting out Shakespeare for the past few years, I’d actually be interested in living in that time period.
Yeah, there are definitely problems that come along with past time periods. Women's suffrage, racism, illegal acts of labor, all that. Definitely not fun, necessarily, but I think it's interesting to look at the good aspects and imagine living with that. Oh yeah, that makes sense. That would be cool too, like Victorian times? I couldn't wear those big dresses all the time.
