just watched See You Soon (2025) and it's so sweet and genuine and real, big recommend. it's basically just them going on a 3 day long date (in paris!) and talking but even with my gen z attention span i watched all the way through.

#i saw an ad for it when i went to see backrooms #i recognized both gillian anderson and hannah einbinder but they both look slightly unlike themselves in the trailer #so i was like nahhh its not them until i saw the credits lol

backrooms was actually kinda good. especially the first half when it was pure horror, really fun. the pirate was a bit goofy to me tbh and i'm not sure about the therapy stuff. but still better than i expected from a youtuber movie about an internet image turned meme

#also i immediately recognized when they played music by the caretaker #i too watch solarsands #the choice is good and makes sense with the themes and that scene but its still very internet coded to me #i guess i'll have to reconcile with that because internet themed art will only get more common and its not like theres anything wrong with #that #backrooms
