People do not seem to realize that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character.

You think you can control it, and then one day you can’t.

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.
Augustine of Hippo (via lazypacific)
pleeeeeaaaaase don’t make fun of people for being overenthusiastic about their interests. if you see someone getting really excited about something and you think it’s a good idea to ruin their fun (and don’t think people don’t notice your eye rolls and side glances) you’re an asshole
personal reminder: stop being so fucking hard on yourself
I think one of my favorite feelings is laughing with someone and realizing half way through how much you enjoy them and their existence.

I wonder how biology can explain the physical pain you feel in your chest when all you want to do is be with someone.

You and I were everything. We danced on stars and planets all throughout the night but somewhere along the way the galaxy fell apart and now I’m sitting here scavenging up the scattered remains of what used to be Saturn’s rings and you’re nowhere to be found and I haven’t a clue what to do. I was your moon and you were my sun and the way we harmonized together so perfectly was nearly impossible to ignore, but you seemed to be able to just shove it away like it was nothing just fine. The way we formed nebulas with the I love you’s we’d whisper to each other in the dead of the night was an art form, the constellations we created with our promises and sweet nothings are forever stuck in my sky and I just can’t seem to see anything else every time I look out my window. I was your star and you were my sky and I always felt like I was right at home with you wrapped around me tight but you seemed to not notice a difference when I was gone. We were everything. But now I know that the stars in the sky mean nothing to you anymore and while I’m stuck up here trying to piece the planets back together you’re down on earth and I know that you’re her ocean and she’s your boat and you’ve shown her the entire sea and she’s lost in the waves of your hair but I hope that from time to time when the moon reflects it’s light onto the surface of the sea you happen to catch a glimpse of it, and I hope you think of me.
