This was the biggest turning point in the development of my art.
For the first time, I dedicated a larger amount of time to my doodle. The doodle turned into something a lot more detailed than I had anticipated. It’s amazing what you can do when you’re bored on a 5+ hour flight from Toronto to Vancouver. I NEVER in my wildest dreams would believe that I could draw something so detailed.

I drew this yesterday. I’ve been trying to expand my art so I tried something new. Not only have I never attempted drawing an animal in such detail before, but I also tried starting with a black surface and then added white. I’m really happy with the result.

One of several places I stayed in Colorado. Built into the canyon cliff, one entire side of the house is rock; the shower and reading corner are natural recesses. Wood-burning stove, heated tile floors, and 2nd story loft for guest bed. Missing this place like crazy.
