Because I just saw a post bitching about this one, I want to add: this post is saying that you need to take accountability for the way you hurt other people, even if it happens because of a symptom of your disability/illness. It's also saying that using terms (especially acronyms) that aren't common knowledge isn't a helpful way to explain yourself. It is NOT saying that you need to let people walk all over you because "your disability isn't an excuse."

If you're diabetic, you don't have to eat the honey glazed ham that will send you into a coma (their example). But you also can't yell at the person offering it and accuse them of trying to kill you. You can just say "thanks, but my body can't handle that kind of sugar intake, so I'll pass"

As much as I love the idea of Jon repressing his feelings for Martin in S1, I think it’s ENDLESSLY funnier (and more realistic) that he’s just so pissed about how bad Martin is at his job that Jon’s academic rage blinds (pun not intended) him to all of Martin’s good attributes.

Like, when I’m in a group project, if someone is useless and unhelpful it doesn’t matter if they volunteer at the cat shelter, I’d still think they are THE WORST and ROAST them to anyone who will listen

BBC Merlin is one of those shows where the story and character dynamics don’t make much sense unless you read the main duo as queer (whether their love is romantic or platonic, reciprocated or not).

The utter DEVOTION Merlin and Arthur share is BEYOND friends BEYOND brothers BEYOND anything Arthur has with the knights and even with Guinevere. It’s another level of trust and affection that nobody else in their lives can match.

I don’t even just mean queer in a romantic way, as I’ve heard lots of people in the aro/ace communities saying they are a great example of a queerplatonic relationship (however I myself am a Merthur shipper).

However, to just read them as cisgender straight allosexual alloromantic bros feels fundamentally wrong. The bro relationships are mostly found between the knights and Arthur, within the knights themselves, and also with the knights and Merlin. Merlin and Arthur’s relationship has something MORE there, however.

The story makes less sense if you read them as not queer at all due to the level of DEVOTION and OBSESSION between them. That’s not JUST friends. Not by a long shot.
