Okay but what if Midoriya's full sentence was actually:

I can’t believe I had to see someone saying “it’s all the fault of Hamas, if it wasn’t for them Israelis and Palestinians would be living together in peace” with my own eyes.
1st of all, lets put aside the fact that Hamas was created because of Israel to the side for a moment. Hamas was only fully elected in 2007 and even if I wanted to be generous and include the year they were founded (even if back then they didn’t have any real power) as a starting point, then the earliest date would be 1988.
2nd of all, the Nakba/Palestinian exodus, where 700,000 Palestinians (half of the Palestinian population back then) were ethnically cleansed and expelled from Palestine through a series of massacres done by Israelis has happened in 1947/1948, 60 whole years before Hamas raised to power and 40 years before they were even founded.
3rd of all, Hamas only semi-control Gaza, they have no authority in the West Bank where Palestinians are in no shape or form living “peacefully,” but instead are living in complete apartheid and are still getting ethnically cleansed and brutalized like their ancestors.
So even if every single member of Hamas has vanished from the face of Earth today, nothing will change. Israel will still continue to ethnically cleanse, torture, kill and humiliate Palestinians, just like they did for the 6 decades straight before Hamas had any powers. The issue here isn’t Hamas or any other type of current Palestinian semi-authority (and I say semi because they will never have full authority while living under an occupation), the issue here is the apartheid settler-colony called Israel that will continue committing war crimes against international laws no matter who Palestinians have as a semi-authority

I dont like to get political on tumblr but I am fuming at the silence of the world! Is it cuz palestinians are brown and muslims hence undeserving of outrage? That cant be it cuz even "muslim countries" like Saudi Arabia and the UAE are silent and in cohoots with Israel.
I am just so sick of the world normalizing tragedy in the Middle-East while tripping over themselves to condemn acts of injustices in white-people countries. We dont get media coverage or brands/celebrities queing up to include us in their performative activism.

The IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) are forcibly removing Palestinians from their home in Sheikh Jarrah, a neighbourhood in Eastern Jerusalem, and giving them to Jewish settlers. This is not only supported by the government, but was ordered by it in accordance to a law claiming that these houses belong to Jews and they have a right to them. Once these Palestinian families are removed from their houses, they will become homeless.
I have never disagreed with the Jewish right of self-determination and think that they deserve to have a state where they are safe from anti-Semitism, but when it comes at the expense of other people, MY PEOPLE, it is unjustifiable. When you are forcing people out of their home, a home which they have been living in since before Israel was even established, claiming you have a right for that house, that is just disgusting. When I am made to feel like a stranger in my own home, excluded and treated as a fifth rate citizen, that is unacceptable.
Also, this is happening just a week after the “Death to Arabs” protests by Jewish extremists in Jerusalem.

My only association with Mikasa is Eren. Like its the lost potential for a badass female character (Like Annie and Pieck) for me. And Eren's complete turn around from being cryptic to confessing how he wants Mikasa to stay obsessed with him is just ridiculous. Let her move on with someone else for the love of God! This ship was doomed for the beginning and Yams just did no justice to Mikasa by letting her be tied to Eren forever (dont even get me started on bird!Eren).
A better ending would probably have been for her to find love with someone else. She can mourn Eren but also live her life...but this whole beginning and ending her story with Eren is so frustrating. I dont ship EreMika so as an objective reader...I really never saw until 139 that Eren had romantic feelings towards Mikasa so it really surprised me when he went all possesive towards her. He really wanted her to live by his terms and its annoying. It was always Mikasa putting in the effort and Eren constantly doing stunt ass shit...so sorry no..he didnt deserve her..even Armin said it was pathetic. I dunno...I just find them so so toxic and codependent which is such a far cry from ships like AruAnnie, JeanPieck, Eruri, LeviHan etc.
Im curious to hear EreMika fans' take on them cuz Im really at a loss. This is my opinion so only engage if you can have a civil discussion :)

Im assuming most of the sk8 fandom is really young so thats why the words "abuser" and "pedophile/grooming" are being tossed around willy nilly. But the thing is..Adam wasnt a good villain because they didnt build him well. They just made him super creepy and violent but then gave him a tragic backstory which didnt really connect with what happened to him.
Im still honestly lost about what was the point of his character other than get hate from people. Like you arent developing him properly as a villain but you arent giving him a decent redemption arc either so now we are just left feeling nauseous...
I had hoped he would befriend CherryJoe again or reconcile properly with Tadashi but just the half-assed effort on his character is sad cuz he was interesting and had potential but now most of the fandom hates on him (again, stop applying real world logic to fiction). But tbh even Miya became super redundant..he didnt have point either after his little arc? He didnt add much to the story except standing on the sidelines and cheering.
I think they tried to squeeze a 24 episode anime into 12 and it shows. So its just a bit lukewarm for me for show that started so well but then kinda lost direction. But still kudos to the team for their work!

Dont get me wrong..I enjoyed the show. But they crammed way too much into the last episode. Adam's redemption didnt even make any sense cuz it was so rushed. I really feel like they didnt know how to finish his or Tadashi's storylines so they just whipped something up last minute. I think the rest of the character did quite well story-wise. Except my man Shadow..like they did him D I R T Y and he is the sweetest out of all the characters.
I think they tried too many things at once and it kinda fell flat (like what was the point of the female detective?). The Adam and Tadashi story shouldve developed atleast 3 episodes ago but they were too busy making Adam be terrible for no reason...
Oh well..its over and now we can obsess about something else. But I give this show like a 6/10 cuz the art was great and the story wasnt terrible but some things were rushed and not developed as well as they deserved.

I know y'all hate Adam (and after what he did today I have serious reservations too) but the man can skate and I really want a) Tadashi to wipe the floor with him b) Nutty Adam going back to the Talented Cinnamon Roll Highschool Adam.
Also special mention of Joe's back muscles♡ and also of Reki's incredibly relatable character. We've all been where he is and Im looking forward to seeing how hes developed♡
My issue with EreMika's kiss and why it ruined any chance of her character development
I have been waiting for Mikasa to get any form of solid character development since chapter 1. Isayama apparently said in an interview that her development would be separating from Eren...but the girl had the damn scarf stuffed in her shirt!? Like when she walked away from the scarf..I was like FUCKING FINALLY..but this whole reversion was so annoying.
Okay even if we take the scarf thing as her choosing to remember Eren (again, Eren)...the kiss at the end is just terrible and reduces her to some psychotic love interest. It wouldve been SO much better if she just cut his head and said "Goodbye Eren". It wouldve been impactful and literally serve as her cutting off that piece of herself. But no. What do we get? Her kissing a severed head. And I dont want any of that "Oh but she was kissing him in the AU"...like NOW WAS NOT THE DAMN TIME!?? Literally her friends turned into titans, Armin is fighting against Eren..and this ridiculous woman is still obsessing?
Her character is the exact same as its always been with sprinkles in between of some minor growth but shes still the same and thats tragic. At this point even Gabi has had better development then Mikasa and Im pissed at Isayama for doing that to her character. Like Levi had to literally ask her to get her shit together and do what needs to be done. Till the very end, shes remained obsessed with Eren. My apologies to the EreMika fans, like ship what you like, but personally, I never felt Eren liked her in that way. It always felt very one-sided to me and just to have that kiss at the end...just terrible. It would have made more sense if it had been at the cusp of death or something but this shit was just absurd and creepy. The kiss was unnecessary in my opinion and really ruined Mikasa's hopes of redeeming herself for me. If youre kissing your crush, whether in reality or AU, while your friends are literally dying outside...your priorities are clear and youve not grown for me as a character.
