Ryuu was wandering about the desert, fidgeting nervously as sand blew around and got in his clothes- there was a reason he didn't care much to visit deserts, and this was why. He was used to hot and moist conditions, not this dryness.
"I hope there's a town nearby." He muttered to himself, eventually deciding to rest.

"Yes…" He could see the worry in her eyes. "It’s what’s natural for a Dragon, from what I understand… And I didn’t think anyone would care for me before. But… You’ve changed that."
She blinked in slight surprise. “Really? I mean…no one’s ever cared for you before? …But you’re so nice. Why wouldn’t anyone want to care for you?”
"I've made a lot of enemies... And most people don't want to be around that." He explained again, shaking his head. "I can handle it, it just drives people away... And sometimes I have to convince the person to leave for their own safety if I get too close to them."

She raised an eyebrow and put down the frying pan. What was he doing in her house? How did he even get in? There were so many questions to be asked. However, she just walked over to him and asked,”What are you talking about Ryuu?”
"Ah… I retain my sharp sense no matter what form I take, that’s what. Those explosions are literally hurting my ears." He explained calmly as he could, sighing.
"Oh, I see…. hold on a second," she said before walking off. She came back with some thick ear muffs and put them on his ears. "There. Is that better?" she asked in an elevated voice so he could hear her.
"Yes, very much... Thank you." He smiled at that, pulling her into a tight hug. "... You're one of the most caring people I met, you know? If I could get a job and stuff maybe I'd settle down... Try having a permanent friend. In person." Shaking his head. "I honestly don't understand all this computer stuff. Even though I try."

Ryuu honestly didn’t mind Chinese New Year, save for one thing- the fireworks. He retained his sharp senses no matter what form he took, and the fireworks scared him… He tried to find a place to hide from it all, eventually ducking into the nearest solid building.
Madeline was sitting in her apartment reading a book to herself. It was Chinese New Years and most everyone had left to see the fireworks. She would have went too, except her bike wasn’t working too well and no one would offer her a ride. So here she was reading a book she had read a thousand times before. Once she finally decided to put the book down, she heard something moving around in her house. So, after getting a frying pan from the kitchen, she approached the source of the sound and called out,”Who’s there? I’ve got a frying pan and I’m not afraid to use it!”
"It's Ryuu again... You'd think I'd like this but- sharp senses..." He shook his head, sighing. He liked being around Madeline, but why'd she have to be so defensive? Not that he'd admit to being the same way when alone.
No matter what form Ryuu is in, he retains his extremely good senses.
