ITS A GOOOOD DAAAYY TODAAAYYY! Super happy to finally have the approval to post my first zine piece ever, this one was for the wonderful project of the For our tomorrows trigun wedding fanzine. The team were always lovely and I adore working on zines such as this one that help me challenge my skills more and more often. In any case, this is a bit of an old piece but it was a lot of fun!

When i watched 98 for the first time, i genuinely had no goddamn idea ww s gonn die, and this shit hit me so unbelievably hard i could rewatch any damn episode but this one.

I did, in fact, clicked on this one by accident lmao, and it hit hard again

I can reread vol 10 as many times as i want, and i did reread it many many times, but this ep..

#kiss the brick #I’m with you OP #I rewatched 98 recently and the way this episode is laid out just pummels your soul #it hit me so hard the first time as a then-new Trigun fan that I couldn’t even finish the show until months later #the couch is hard and maybe we’re desensitized as a fandom by now but the sheer desperation in this ending gets me so much worse #it’s the way Vash is so lost in his own guilt and grief he doesn’t see it right away and Wolfwood choosing to not make that Vash’s burden #that Vash mourns strangers so deeply he didn’t deserve to blame himself for WW too. not that anything would stop him but WW tried #how this serves as the end of their argument #as just a quiet admission and demonstration that WW believed in Vash and that he mourned and tried to do better in the end #and he tried Vash’s way on the person he personally believed deserve kindness and mercy the least #and the only proof that it worked and could be done and that Wolfwood himself was capable of it was that he died for it #rambling aside this is gorgeous and also heartbreaking #beautiful art #as a side note the line of “I could’ve lived happily with him……andthegirls doesn’t get enough love #absolutely hilarious in our time of grief
