It’s 2026 and I’m still reading those masterpieces-
when you are ripping through a book you can't put down and barreling toward the end fully believing it's a standalone and then suddenly begin to realize it's actually one of a duology and the second book isn't out yet and you're about to be left on a cliffhanger from a story that's already eating your brain alive every second that you're not actively reading it
AND there’s no large fandom yet so you just have to sit there with yourself knowing you just read a masterpiece and can’t talk about it with anyone else
Will never understand hating on a kid character for being immature- like you wanna know why they’re immature?? CUZ THEY HAVENT MATURED.
Like I hear hate on characters in PJO, KOTLC, THG, and HP, and everything in my being wants to look at that critic and say “YOU ARE GETTING MAD AT A CHILD FOR BEING CHILDISH”
We look at characters like Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Nico Di Angelo, ALL of the seven, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Gale Hawthorn, FITZ VACKER, Sophie Foster, Keefe Sencen, and more- and we hate on these characters when they make stupid decisions. Do these characters have the luxury to make stupid mistakes? Sadly no. However, they are still going to, because like every kid/teen, they are learning. But we get so mad at them because they are in situations where mild mistakes have severe consequences. So…
JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE PUT INTO SERIOUS ADULT SITUATIONS DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE ADULTS- THEY ARE KIDS.
You have every right to not love a character but hating on a kid for being a kid is WILD.
