"Senpai…is in the Dollars, right?"
The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.

Despite the fact that she’d owned a Suica card for seven months already, Akane still found it invigorating every time she swiped it through a reader. Her parents had awarded her one as an early present for getting into a prestigious middle school- Raira Academy. Ever since the merge with Raijin, the East Ikebukuroean school had become closer with its sister, though the buildings were still in two locations. Once she graduated, she would be eased into high school without the need for crushing entrance exams.
Akane pondered her future as the scenery whizzed past the window, filling her sight with grays, blues and blurred signs. She still had quite some time left on the trip, so when she tired of the window she turned to face her fellow passengers. There weren’t many. This was an off-day. No one had work to get to or classes to beat. Akane herself was meeting a few classmates at Yoyogi park, though she wondered if they’d invited her out of pity.
As she continued to sweep over the faces of tired old men and young mothers with children, she noticed a set of minimal features that seemed familiar. They belonged to a young man, his large, round eyes lowered in a pensive expression. His nose was small and round; cute, really. Akane knew she’d seen him somewhere before…
But at that moment, the mystery boy sneezed and turned his face away, allowing her a glimpse of his back as he searched his bag for a tissue. That was when she saw it. Huge, spindly, otherworldly and grotesque: a centipede. A shudder rippled through her body just watching it. The beast wriggled along his back, stopping by his collar to sniff it with its disgusting appendages.
She had to tell him.
It was the right thing to do.
Her legs locked up. Akane waddled towards him, too horrified even to unbend her knees. The train moved at a steady pace, so keeping her balance wasn’t too much of a challenge. Keeping her bile down her throat was another matter. She felt like a pale statue being nudged by an invisible support. Just a few more steps. The centipede seemed to swell in size the closer she drew. Soon it was more than just his back, it was taking up his entire body! It was enormous! Ghastly! An alien if ever she knew one!
“E-E-Excuse me-!” She cried out, quivering in terror. The boy turned to her and when he moved, the centipede scurried down his jacket to keep itself attached.
“You have a bug on you!” She practically shrieked, pointing to his back. She felt like she might faint.
Ah, Aoba was going to be so angry with him. To be called back to school for important business when he had promised the other a date. He would have to make it up to him eventually. The Dollars founder sighed as he looked at his phone. He had almost considered not going. He may be the student body president, but he was still a student. He didn't want to go anymore than other students. But it was precisely because he the student body president that he found himself on the train ride to Raira.
Fighting the urge to scowl, he instead looked at his phone. It distracted him enough with news about the Dollars, gangs, and worldwide that he could forget just where he was going. When he saw that someone needed the seat more than him, the polite male would simply stand and offer his seat, to elders, younger people, or whoever.
There wasn't that many people on the train ride as it was an off day. Besides the traveling families and young teenagers, the train was mostly empty. They probably had business with personal enjoyment. He was suppose to be enjoying the off day as well. But that had been taken from him as well. And he was entirely too polite to actually decline the school's request. Oh well. It was too late for regrets. He would just get this work done as quickly as he could and then return home to Aoba. Maybe even plan a day out with the pets. The weather was modestly pleasant for a winter January day.
As he thought about what he could do to make it so Aoba wasn't so angry at him when he got back, the young male felt a twitch in his nose. He wasn't able to stop himself sneezing. The young gang leader shivered. He hoped he wasn't getting sick. The school term has only started.
The boy went into his bag to look for a tissue. Finding one, he wiped his nose while stopping another incoming sneeze. From the corner of his eyes, he saw a small figure head to his direction. Blue eyes turned to the smaller female. His eyes widened some. She looked like she had just seen a ghost.
♕ -- [ "Are you ok--" ]
His question was instantly stopped when she begin to speak. He blinked. A bug? His mind didn't instantly go into panic. He used to live in Saitama. Him and Masaomi would catch bugs for fun when he was just a kid. He turned his head some. ♕ -- [ "Oh really?" ] he asked with surprising calmness.
The blue eyed teenager placed his bag down and slowly took off his jacket. He didn't want to scare the bug away. When he turned it over, he saw a harmless centipede staring at him. A little bark of laughter left his lips. He smiled at the female. ♕ -- [ "It's just a harmless centipede. Nothing to worry about." ] As he said this, he carefully put his jacket down and reached for the bug. It took some time, but he managed to finally cup it in his hands.

Stopping automatically when he saw a couple of gang members go flying by, Mikado blinked. Fast and fearful. They must have witnessed something truly terrifying. The only few people that Mikado knew of that could make idiotic, stubborn people like that so fearful. The strong, strange engimas that were only common in Ikebukuro. There was Celty, the courier. But she tended to keep to herself and not draw too much attention. Then there was Izaya Orihara, the informant. He was in the same way while at the same time being more intertwined in other lives. But Mikado doubted it was him as well. So that left only one other person violent and strong enough to make such a commotion.
Shizuo Heiwajima.
An amused smile moved on the student's lips. While it was said that he had to be the strongest person ever, the male apparently hated violence. Yet, violence always seemed to find him. The young student jogged over to where he had believed he had heard the commotion appear. Sure enough, the fortissimo of Ikebukuro was surrounded by unconscious, bleeding, stupid gang members who might have tried to pick a fight with the man one reason or another. Everyone else had already parted, probably frightened by the display of power. Mikado was sorry he missed it. Side stepping the fallen bodies so he could see the blond better, Mikado made sure to keep an arm's length way. Could never be too sure.
♕ -- [ Are you okay? ] Silly question. But it never hurt to ask.

In terms of happiness, he had to say he was miserably happy. Living a rather peaceful (as peaceful as he would allow it to be) and lovely life with his beloved without any wars, ex-best friends, or dangerous criminals showing up had done wonders for Mikado's temperment and all around attitude. So when face-to-face with Masaomi, a person he hadn't seen in quite awhile, the Dollars leader could only pull a smile and a casual greeting.
