so i’m here to address an issue, that has me on trial accusing me of homophobia, and lesbophobia. Since I woke up, I found that i was tagged in this post, and then shortly after I come here, I am blocked.
In case anyone is wondering the post that this is concerning is THIS POST RIGHT HERE.
IN case anyone hasn’t seen it, this is my exact wording:
PSA: On Mobile Because unlike a lot of people I have work to do in my community.
Since my name is going to be dragged through the goddamn mud and my race has for some reason been brought into it. I’m only going to say this once.
I deal with racism and homophobia on a daily basis in REAL LIFE. I don’t need to talk about how it’s still illegal here on this reservation to have a same sex marriage or the hate crimes done against anyone who isn’t straight here. Or how the trans community in my home area is already driven to madness by societies refusal to accept them at any time. The assumptions and dismissal of my own sexuality as people constantly harasss and demean women on a mass scale. (In cass people forget I’m a WOC and I live in an extremely rural area where it’s apparently okay to do these things so long as it’s someone who isn’t straight or white to be picked on) Because you know why? It’s an issue that I deal with and HANDLE here in my home on a daily basis.
I don’t need a computer screen to show the world that I am dealing with issues like homophobia and racism when I am in fact dealing with it IN REAL LIFE, and doing my best to make this place a better world for everyone of every sexuality and gender. I’m not going to have my experiences demeaned just because some people don’t have a life and want to drag my name into the mud because I wouldn’t stand for any sort of bullying. And I am now going to just follow my own rule, and ignore the wolves, and let people think for themselves because I’ve shown the community time and time again, how I am here for everyone. And I mean EVERYONE.
(i’m going to tag @watcherandshield because for some these children won’t let this issue rest, and since they want to be making call out posts i going to do the courtesy of tagging, and showing everyone what the post was really about and not what they blew it up to.)
The discourse is over a post that was made, that I discovered upon my checking on the dash one night, and i discovered that a friend of mine (tagged above) was being thrown under the bus in every immature way possible (because I do believe that people can disagree without personal attacks and jabs happening, and not have insults be traded like children) I commented and told everyone that there is a clear difference between educating people, and attacking. And it turned into a one sided name calling session, where anything that was said was changed into an attack, and I was told that I understood nothing about being a minority of any sort.
I would be glad to show images, but the post was deleted. But I can provide the images of my activity, if it helps.
But I see little in how my words here, stating that I refuse to take part in drama because of my own real life instance, states otherwise the point I have at hand. So I am going to leave it at that.
