funniest (no) part about francesca joining the marriage mart is that not only michaela has to go through the horrors of watching francesca dancing with men at balls BUT she also has to watch them calling for her in the morning. her crush is getting courted by random men in her own house and she can’t even leave because she accidentally became important at work

title is pretty self explanatory, this is kinda how it feels when it's time to wash my hair 😅 jokes aside, I wanted to make this hair-into-water transformation on a bigger scale. this took about 15 hours and it's now one of my favourite paintings to date!

making it a mission to *actually* post my art. starting with work I did this semester, in my first year of my masters program.

I love doing self portraits because it's really such an easy subject I think 😅. its espevially fun to donit in a non-traditional or straight forward way! i use self portraits as a kind of reflection of my life, or commentary.

this painting took about 20 hours, mostly because I was pretty rusty painting again on a sizeable canvas (for the last year whenever i painted I did mini paintaings) and I was kind of in an art slump.

I visited my gf in Nigeria over my winter break and we visited Tarkwa Bay in Lagos. being with her, there, I felt inspired to paint.

A lil (late) Good Friday horror comic.

There's a well known superstition that one must never go swimming, or even to the beach on Good Friday because without fail someone has drowned.

there was a discussion on caribbean Twitter talking about making a horror short story/film about this superstition and I couldn't get it out of my head, so this was my take on it!

experimenting with black and white and watercolour brushes in fresco!

Not participating in inktober, but I saw @/jsumm_art on tiktok draw things based on pictionary clues, so I thought I'd try it too. (I had no pictionary cards, or dice, but Google was my friend on both counts lol)

I thought my finished drawing was cute! I might do more of these prompts to get out of my art blocks.
