HOWDY EVERYONE!!

By this point you've either gotten your secret santa and are loving it, have seen a picture of it and now can't sleep because of the anticipation of it being on its way, or your secret santa got in touch with us saying they'd be a bit late, and we got in touch with you.

If you don't fall into one of those categories, I am truly sorry.  I can't force anyone to do anything, and even if I could imperious curse someone (its illegal so I won't do that or else the MoM will come and throw me in Azkaban), I don;t know who has who, the programme doesn't tell us even if you're the organizer. 

To those who did not sent out gifts, you know who you are, that is pretty unhella, someone made you a gift, and someone worked hard on someone elses gift and now they didn't get anything. You shouldn't have signed up if you couldn't follow through, or you should have contacted me so we could work something out. I urge you to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send something because its really not fun to be the person who gets nothing. Meow. 

Anyway, all that aside, I'm glad everyone enjoyed this little exchange, happy new year, and see you in the drift!

Now that the names have been drawn for both groups, on to the wishlists! We sent out an email though DrawNames specifying what information should go on your wishlist, so check your emails, and hop to it!!

HEY THERE RANGERS AND GROUPIES! REGISTRATION IS CLOSED, SO ON TO THE DRAWING OF THE NAMES!!

Registration is now closed, so I hope everyone who wanted to participate got in on time! Thank you so much to our 93 participants! 

The next step in the exchange will be the drawing of the names. As you all know, we're using a site called DrawNames, and it's a secret santa generator. It will automatically draw the names when everyone has clicked the link in their conformation emails. 

On that note, PLEASE EVERYONE CHECK YOUR EMAILS FOR YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL. WE CANNOT START THE DRAWING UNTIL EVERYONE DOES SO. THE MORE TIME IT TAKES EVERYONE TO CONFIRM, THE LONGER IT TAKES FOR THE NAMES TO BE DRAWN THE LESS TIME YOU GET TO WORK ON YOUR GIFT.  

You will also receive an email when the names have been drawn with who your giftee is. It's super important to stay on top of your emails from DrawNames, because that's how us, the admins, will be communicating with you about the wish lists and other news about the exchange from now on! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

It's The Oxford English Fangirl here, one of the organizer elves running this little shindig XD

Now I've noticed little blog of ours has gotten a whole bunch of followers but we've not had messages from all of you in our askbox, much to mine and Ly's annoyance because we want you guys to be involved as much you do!  To that end I'm saying, if you haven't heard from us, please, please try again - fanmails are totally fine as well as asks.

A this goes for everyone who's sent in an ask and not heard back yet - there's still 12 HOURS before we close registration and we'd hate for anyone to miss out because tumblr seems to hate our ask box.

It also seems like some of the asks have been getting eaten, BUT THE BEST WAY TO KNOW IF YOU’VE BEEN REGISTERED is if we answer your ask! We always reply to your ask telling you to look for the email and that you’ve been put in the system, so if you don’t here form this blog, we probably didn’t get your ask, so please resend it! We’re really sorry for the confusion, let us know if there are any more questions!

As you know, the draw is ON SATURDAY, so be sure to register with us by then if you want in on all this gift-y goodness! 

Also, once you've registered with us, you should receive an email from DrawNames, which is the engine we're using for the draw. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU OPEN THIS EMAIL AND CONFIRM IT BY CLICKING THE LINK WITHIN TO BE FULLY REGISTERED. Be sure to check your spam traps for it (Or your promotional folder if you have gmail), because if you'll be removed from the exchange and no one wants that D':

PACIFIC RIM FANDOM HOLIDAY EXCHANGE!!

Hey everyone! Welcome to the first ever Pacific Rim Holiday Gift Exchange!

Everyone and anyone in the fandom can feel free to participate! It will be run as a secret santa, and after some beta-testing (done by the-oxford-english-fangirl and bigdrunkgay), we've decided to use DrawNames. We'll be doing two separate groups: One made up those who are comfortable giving a mailing address to their secret santa to receive physical gifts, and another group of people who would rather not give out their addresses, so that group will be just for art/fics/or anything else that can be traded online. 

What you need to do to participate:

Please reblog this post to help get the word out! The more people who participate, the more fun it is for everyone!

Send us an ask with an email you'd be okay with using for the Secret Santa Generator and be sure to tell us which group you'd rather be in (physical gifts or digital gifts).

Make sure the message isn't anon, we need to have a name to put in the drawing!

Don't forget to check your emails for notifications sent to you by DrawNames, as we'll be posting messages you'll want to see to both of the groups.

There are all sorts of things that can be traded. Art, fics, plushes, patches, anything Pacific Rim related! Hand made things are highly encouraged (but not required, so don't worry if you aren't a crafty type).
