Hello!! It has been a bit! I've come to ask if you wouldn't mind trying out drawing a Dr. Pepper plum baby! All the babies are so cute, I'm curious what that would a plum between those two may be in your eyes!! Also maybe Harlequin with an egg would be cute too!

Idea for small fanart !

I found the whole video based on a tumblr exchange based on tea again, it comes up in my recommandations once in a while. Iykyk, but if you don't... Look for "Tea Taste DIFFERENT in Hot Water?!" on Youtube. Here's how I imagine the exchange going with the main cast :

Harlequin : "Which one of you was going to tell me tea tastes different if you put it in hot water ?"

Ticket Taker : "Y-you were putting it in cold water... ?"

Doctor : "Harlequin. Answer the question, Harlequin."

Harlequin : "Yeah ? I thought for like five years that people just put it into hot water to speed up the tea-ification process. Didn't realize there was an actual reason."

Doctor : "You don't have the patience to microwave water for three minutes ?"

Pierrot : "Why are you... Putting it in the microwave... To boil it ?"

Doctor : "Do you think I have the patience to boil water on the stove ?"

Pierrot : "It takes less than a minute !"

Doctor : "Bestie is your stovetop powered by the fucking sun ?!"

Pierrot : "How long does it take you to boil a cup of water on the stove ?!!"

Doctor : "LIKE SEVEN MINUTES !!"

Pierrot : "Just stick your mug on top of the stove on medium heat, and it boils in like two minutes... Less than that, you use a saucepan."

Doctor : "You're putting the whole mug on the stove ? On medium heat ?? ...Your stove is enchanted..."

Jester : "Every single person in this circus is a fucking lunatic..."

Ticket Taker : "Does NONE of you own A FUCKIN' KETTLE ??!"

So uh..it's been a while ain't it?-

Small art dump of a highschool (?) AU thing I was doing with my bestie- they're all a bit more human shaped than monstrous, just for convenience's sake. Imagine how fucking difficult it would be to convince a random teacher that your over the top mask, outfit and shi are absolutely necessary </3

Like man I couldn't even wear CAPS at school, much less a mask. So yeah, a bit less monster shaped but still very much monsters.

"But oh Shatter! Lore!" No. Didn't do shit yet, I'm a lazy writer- but I imagine them being a travelling group for reasons of safety maybe, like "oh shi we got found out" and then they just bolt outta there-

(Btw I don't know if highschool is the right word? I meant the end of school basically, when everybody's an adult already, most people have jobs or are planning for university- youngest person on the class is maybe nearing their 18th birthday but most of the class is closer to their 20s y'know? My english sucks and y'all have too many words for school.)

The AU thing is like a huge crossover with a BUNCH of other medias and even OCs, so now they're DEFINITELY not the only monsters in town- and the place is quite cheaper because it's dangerous af. I think it's neat because since it's pretty dangerous, the students typically form groups to go home or form slightly stronger bonds keeping each other safe-

It's also pretty funny because they're the only non-humans that are super cautious and wary of everybody beneath the surface- because the others honestly could not give less of a fuck </3

Closing fun facts I guess:

⟡ Their names are Pierre, Jesse and Dominique (Doc)

⟡ Pierre is mute, and speaks only through sign language! He can't properly use his voice all the time because his throat hurts a lot when he does- a result of an injury years ago, from the same incident that made Doc lose half his face. Everybody in the group understands him

⟡ Pierre and Jess don't have visible horns because they file/trim them off. Yes. Ouch. Some other characters in this crossover ALSO do that btw! Harley refuses because his horns are easier to hide, and so he just wears a beanie or a hat wherever he goes

⟡ Jesse also uses sign frequently! Often using it to give them warnings or directions so that others around them don't catch on

⟡ Jesse is transmasc! As evidenced by the uh...grayscale flag- (I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed ok.) and the crossed off feminine name :D

⟡ Diamond Mirror is canon in this AU, and in their heads they're super discreet with it (press x to doubt /silly)

⟡ Doc's bird mask is a prosthetic! If you've ever seen my post about maskless Doctor, you probably know what his face looks like under it! But basically, due to a fire/accident he lost most of his lower face (I wasn't going to keep the bird mask but my friend almost killed me pff- "you will NOT unbird my husband.")

Also Harlequin and Ticket Taker aren't being done by me, so I'll make a post later when my buddy finishes their humanized design + information (if they consent, if not I'll just post some fanart of the designs and call it a day)

⟡ We are still unsure if Dr. Pepper will be canon as well (the possible crackship ideas are a little bit interesting) but it's implied that they're at least very close friends. Perhaps roommates, even..if you catch my drift.

I absolutely love how everybody (myself included) decided to interpret my username- because I never really paid that much attention, like people just call me Shatter/Shattered and y'know, I always just viewed it as the cooler word between the two that make my username right?

People probably call me Shattered just because it's the first and more memorable word of it too (just like I call Feral..Feral-) or Shatter because that's the big name in my profile

But I stopped to think a bit deeper about it..and like- "shattered beryl" implies it's a broken piece of beryl, just a fractured gemstone- which is already metal af...but people don't call me "Beryl". I'm not the stone. I AM THE CRACKS. AND THAT'S EVEN MORE METAL.

A fanart I did inspired by @thesnakesmouse 's fanfic (The Reverse Cuckoo)! I was reading chapter 10 and got super inspired by the scene of Doctor customising the necklaces for Harlequin, and the picture got so stuck in my mind that I had to draw it. So um yea! here it is after a few weeks of on off drawing :)

The necklace was inspired by another of their fics I am pretty sure of that but I lowkey forgot the name of it(i'm sorry)

Also! Im very sorry if my work bares similarities to @shatteredberyl 's amazing drawing of Harlequin too, theirs is so much better than mine and I didn't realise earlier on that a drawing like this already existed :(

all the important things is already up there um heres some personal reflection? lol

So this is actually my first time committing to finishing a fanart, and posting it to the public so I was (am still) pretty nervous about posting it but I'll take it as character growth. Em the shading and lighting and colours feels a little weird and Im not the best at this yet, but i'm going to continue learning! Perhaps this first step would give me some confidence in drawing and posting more in the future who knows.

Hell yeah! Only thing I thought when I saw it was "YOOO REVERSE FANART!" because it's legit one of my favorite fics- I am not normal about them bro 👁️

And also my take on the chain thing is very over the top and exaggerated, because I am a maximalist when it comes to drawing and design- so seeing different takes on it is refreshing! I'd never be able to do that, I just wouldn't think of doing it like that! It's unique and different from what I always had in mind, so it's super interesting to see! Even inspires me to think of other things, some even unrelated- because art is that powerful!
