The Fenton Family Vacation...Gone Wrong
The Fenton RV, affectionately nicknamed the âGAVâ by Jack, sputtered and coughed as it limped into Arcadia Oaks. "Are you sure this is the right place, Dad?" Danny groaned, clutching his stomach. The GAVâs 'innovative' suspension system wasnât agreeing with his Stomach.
Jack Fenton, oblivious as ever, beamed. "According to my GPS, powered by pure scientific genius, this is Arcadia! Said to have stunning natural beauty!" Jazz, ever the voice of reason, consulted the map. "Dad, Arcadia Lake is in Oklahoma. We seem to be in... Arcadia Oaks, a small town in California."
Maddie hummed. âWell, a change of scenery is nice. Let's find a motel. A good night's sleep and we can explore."
As night fell, strange occurrences rippled through Arcadia. Glowing Green portals appeared in the canals, and the air crackled with unnatural energy. Danny, unable to sleep, felt a familiar tingle. "Ghost activity," he muttered, slipping out of the motel room and transforming into Danny Phantom.
Meanwhile, Jim Lake Jr., armed with the Amulet of Daylight, patrolled the streets. It sensed something strange, an energy unlike anything it encountered before. Rounding a corner, he saw Danny Phantom battling a glowing, spectral figure.
"Whoa!" Jim exclaimed, drawing his sword. "Trollhunter to the rescue!" He charged, swinging Daylight at the ghosts, momentarily distracting it. Danny, surprised, turned to see a kid with blue armor battling a ghost. A kid with a sword? What is going on?
The ghost, enraged, blasted a wave of energy at Jim, sending him sprawling. Danny reacted instantly, shielding Jim with an ectoplasmic shield. "You alright?" he asked, hovering cautiously.
Jim, scrambling to his feet, stared. "You... you're a ghost? But you're helping me?"
"Long story," Danny replied. "This is my job. Mind telling me why a kid is running around with a magic glowing sword?"
Before Jim could answer, they heard a yell. "Danny!?" Jack Fenton charged towards them, armed with a Fenton Thermos. "A ghost! And he's got our son! To the GAV!â
Panic flashed across Danny's face. "Uh, We gotta go!" He grabbed Jim, flew them behind a building, and quickly reverted to his human form. "Ok Look," Danny said breathlessly, "I'm Danny. Iâm Half-Ghost and My parents are... ghost hunters slash scientist. I know Ironic, And they're very, very enthusiastic. And Iâve havenât told them anything, And you...?"
Jim, equally confused, quickly deactivated his armor. "Jim. Jim Lake Jr. and My mom can't know about the Trollhunting thing, or she'll freak out, and find a way to ground me and my mentor."
Danny nodded grimly. "So, we both have crazy secret lives to protect from our parents. Great." He sighed. âLooks like weâre going to have to work together." The ghost was still out there. His parents were still hunting. And now, he was stuck in Arcadia with a kid wielding a magical sword. This was going to be a long vacation.
