Bdsm safety tips??
I hope this helps! Remember THIS IS ABSOLUTELY JUST THE VERY BASICS. If you’re going to really get involved and begin engaging in parts of BDSM in your personal life it would be hugely important to do more research on your own and look into the safety of each individual activity before you try it.

There are those who think that BDSM is an excuse for a Dominant sadist to get extreme sexual gratification by inflicting humiliation, pain and even injury on some helpless Submissive masochist who is also supposed to get extreme sexual gratification from suffering this treatment. There are elements of truth in this, but there is much more to it than that, as all proper BDSM scenes are carefully planned, sane, safe and fully consensual, with an “escape lane” (safe word or signal) whereby either party can stop the scene if they find it is becoming too much. It is not much of a surprise that some can get pleasure from inflicting discomfort on others, less easy to understand for most is the idea that some can get sexual gratification from having pain etc. inflicted on them, but it is so, and indeed done correctly pain and sexual pleasure can merge and become indistinguishable, but it takes skill to get to this point. There is power play and trust between the participants.
Chloë’s guide above is a useful introduction to some of the basic points, and she has some additional links at the bottom. Before trying any of this you should do much more research and receive guidance / tuition from those already experienced in this lifestyle. Best to join an organisation such as FetLife. This is, or was, the top BDSM / Fetish Forum but I have seen reports that for a time at least it was “New Members by Invitation Only”, not very helpful if you do not know anyone to get an invitation from! HERE and HERE. Not sure what the current situation is. A couple of others HERE and HERE.
(Remember that anything you do as a result of seeing it on one of my blogs, you do entirely at your own risk. Always do good research, and get professional advice.)
"Perhaps we are most courageous when we let go." - Alison Malee There are so many reason to be grateful, so many joyful moments to celebrate, and just enough space to feel safe enough to be ourselves. Thank you @knot2nice for trusting me to tie you in this moment. Thank you Christy Banston for capturing it beautifully. And thank you @thebodyasconduit for the constant encouragement and space to be free. ❤

When life feels out of control, like you’re drowning and you can barely breathe, remember that there are people in the world to help keep you afloat. As long as you’re alive, there’s hope. Don’t give up. Hang in there. Dedicated to my friend and the many others who didn’t survive. May they rest in peace. Helping out is @thatwordjunkie, holding on is @littlemisskay21, and captured by @fred-rx.
Sometimes I like working on projects that create a fusion between what I do with the art of others. Combining my rope with the graceful movements of the @knottyacrocats with did an #AcroShibari shoot. Photo by #Fingersmile.
Welcome to my world
I fell in love with Shibari from the moment I laid eyes on it. I had no idea it would become such an integral part of my life, yet 3 years later here I am. I am a shibari artist, teacher and performer. I love creating art with those who love shibari as I do. I love sharing my art with those who are curious about it. And in moments of sweet abandon, I adore showing my art to those who have yet to understand the essence of what it is that we do. We tie, we connect, and somewhere in the melding of time between the beginning and the end, we surrender. I am forever a student of my craft. Shibari is always changing, always evolving into something more beautiful and complex than it was before. It's like a never-ending journey that I am privileged to be a part of it. It has taken me to far away places to meet the most incredible people and I am so grateful for all of it. ~SP
