neighbor from hell
When the stomping, finally, stopped— Sorey let out a sigh of relief. Perhaps, this new neighbor of theirs hadn’t realized how loud they were? Although, he wondered what it was that the other was doing in the first place for them to make such a noise so early in the morning… Maybe, they were moving in with really heavy objects? That they release tremendous force for every step that they take? But, then again, the other would probably know that they are allowed to move in later in the afternoon where they can make all the noise that they want? Hmm, well… there was also the possibility of this person being another giant and they couldn’t help it. Ahh—
—those thoughts were quickly cut of when he’d heard the sound of the door being opened, revealing a familiar, petite-looking, girl. Edna.
The brunet’s lips stretched into a wide grin, emerald hues widening in delight. At that moment, the brunet had temporarily forgotten about his previous thoughts on her loud stomping and was immediately replaced by feelings of excitement.
“ ED—- ” The brunet was cut off by a very cold ‘No’ before the earth seraph closed the door— leaving him confused but, mostly, shocked. “ —- na..?”
“ Ednaaaaa… ” Sorey whines, leaning against the door when he found that he’d recovered from his initial shock. It had been such a long time since he’d last seen her, much less, spoken to her and, honestly, it was.. such a relief to see that she was okay, that she was doing fine. From the way she was acting normally— he figured that she hasn’t felt their absence for almost a month now. It was then that he’d realized that, maybe, he’d been right with his theory? That, time passes by differently here in the island of Solitude? Well, he could always confirm with Edna later on.
That is, if she would even cooperate with him— please, open the door.
「 ☂ 」– Admittedly, seeing Sorey’s ridiculously optimistic face was too bright for Edna. She’s had some doubt before upon finding out he and Mikleo were in this strange island as well, but to hear and see him now: well, needless to say, she needed no further proof. Brief as it was, a glimpse of his innocent and happy grin simply screamed Sorey. She almost felt bad for being so cold to him. Almost.
Leaning back on the door, Edna kept it shut and locked, ignoring his whining. He can be such a loud man-child sometimes, pfft. “Yes? This is Edna speaking.” She pauses now and takes her sweet time before speaking again, still leaned back on the door that separates her and Sorey. It felt good to see that goof, even if she was being a bully right now. How easy would it be to openly say she’s missed him? Although she doesn’t remember how she was washed away here, that empty page in her mind stirred all sorts of questions inside her. She was frustrated at the unknown, indifferent of the island itself and... simply worried. What if she can never go back?
“It’s too early in the morning to be visited. Don’t you know it’s rude to wake a woman up from her beauty sleep?” The last bit, she says so exaggeratedly. Tone so high-pitched and girlier than usual she almost wanted to choke herself for letting out that sound.
