idk if I’ve actually said it here but I don’t feel like Pink is dead. That was her. She could’ve formed as herself— she almost did. She chose to form as Steven.

Perhaps she was aware how much her existence as a part of him caused him distress and put him in harm’s way. She finally did something (as Pink rather than Rose) that wasn’t self-centered.

Little headcanon that larger gems take much longer to reform and emotions can also affect time. I figured pink might have done something a little childish/reckless if she did ever loose her form and so the shame/guilt might have increased the time it took her to reform.

A Wild Pink Diamond Appeared! || open || (for Stevens, but could also work for others)

The pink, crystalline version of the hybrid child turned to face their organic half, face devoid of all emotion.

“Nice Ditto impression, huh?”

The figure morphed, turning into it’s original state— that of someone Steven had never met, yet knew so well.

“No? Pokemon? Anybody? I’ve been working on an entrance if I ever got out, and this is the fanare I get?” she said, hoping for a laugh. Many times she was more of a live-in jester to the Diamonds than family in the past, so she always tried to keep jokes on hand.

The figure enveloped in magenta light floated, twirling around as her gem did as well— like a ballerina who could defy the laws of gravity.

She was thin— so much unlike her rebel self. In fact, her rebel self was designed to be everything she wasn’t. 

Neon pink eyes and diamond irises met those of a face unfamiliar yet familiar, landing before the hybrid child in silence, too shocked to speak.
