Also the Diamonds become vehemently protective of Steven and while shattering is a thing of the past, a gem WILL be punished if they hear wind anyone hurt him physically or emotionally.

Although their punishments are more childish in nature now, such as “go to your hole and think about what you did you naughty gem”

Besides the baby of them, Blue is the most maternal when it comes to her gems, gradually over the years learning after Pink’s example and later Steven’s nurturing one.

She’s the most comforting and gentle, while White is the worst at being maternal to both her daughters and any gems she makes. But she tries hard, although most of it ends in failure because she winds up being smothering, or neglectful.

I’m proud of how far The Diamonds have come. White needs some attitude adjusting and they all need to be urged to see Steven more as his own person and not just what’s left of Pink, but you can tell they love him and they want to do better for him.
