Turn Around || Shavari
“This is the year we turn back around ...”
There’d been a short conversation between her mother and her about her goals in life and how she planned on achieving them when she’d visited the brownstone the day before. Shavari was always a strong-willed girl to get the grades in school, and she always knew what she was striving for. The problem was that she was already 21-and-a-half years old and where was she? Shavari had been working at Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions for a year and a half. She knew that the job in Diagon Alley was intended to be temporary to build a resume and to have a recommendation, but she guessed she’d gotten too comfortable in the position at Madam Malkin’s. Not that she liked it there, by all means, but Shavari guessed she just forgot about her life plan with the exhaustion she received from working at the robe shop. Although it wasn’t necessarily a pleasant discussion with Parvati in terms of it being brought up out of the blue, and although it did make her feel a bit anxious and a bit stupid and a bit disappointed in herself, she was mentally thanking her mother for snapping her out of what she guessed was a rut she didn’t even know she was in.

Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. The house mascot is an eagle and the house colours are blue and bronze. The head of this house is the Charms professor, Filius Flitwick, and the house ghost is The Grey Lady. Ravenclaw corresponds roughly to the element of air. The founder of this house is Rowena Ravenclaw.
The dormitories are located in Ravenclaw Tower,on the west side of Hogwarts. The common room is round and filled with blue hangings and armchairs, has a domed ceiling painted with stars and features a replica statue of Rowena wearing her diadem. A logical riddle must be solved to gain entry, whereas the Gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms only require a password (Hufflepuffs need to tap a barrel in the rhythm of “Helga Hufflepuff”), indicating that it may be easier for those students from other houses who possess a high degree of intelligence to enter this common room than others.
Working at Madam Malkin's in August is by all means arduous.
If Diagon Alley is anything like the muggle world on Boxing Day, I should have been preparing myself about two months ago.
And yes, Diagon Alley resembles the muggle world to a great extent on Boxing Day ... Albeit more so with haggling customers than any real deals from the shops, but all the same ...
"Some people can be so exhausting when they're trying to purchase a robe. Merlin."
Underneath the Masks || Karim & Allison
Karim laughed at his sister’s expression and shook his head, “Sorry, Vari I….” his voice trailed off and he laughed again.
Once the youngest Thomas was calmed down he looked at his sister, “Seriously, Vari, I’m sorry, I was just trying to see if my costume was scary enough. Obviously it is.” he chuckled.
Shavari could still feel her heart pounding, trying to get back in order from it skipping a beat. She tried to remain calm after figuring everything out, and she tried to catch her breath so that she could speak without falter. She definitely knew that if the couple wanted to scare her just to scare her, she'd be fuming.
Shavari didn't know what to think then, though, considering her brother had a more legitimate explanation than knowing his costume was scary and just wanting to try to scare her.
At least more of an explanation Shavari approved of.
But at the same time, she felt as embarrassed as could be. She could still hear the light, uncontrollable snickering from Allison, and it took a few seconds for Karim to get his laughter out before he finally apologized.
"I'm- ... I'm sorry too, Vari," Allison said between hitched breaths, trying to get the girl to speak.
Shavari took a deep breath and pressed her hands into her bed as her heartbeats and breathing finally felt back to normal. "Alright ... Alright ... Do you like that cloak, Allison?"
Allison turned to Karim, throwing the hood over her head for his opinion, but she herself was definitely liking it the best out of the three.
