Watching person of interest if-then-else after...years (whoops). Such a cool episode. And I had forgotten how beautiful the writing often is in this show. The script was already so, so tight and the similarities and differences between simulations and reality are so well constructed and then they throw down lines like "Anyone who looks at the world as if it were a game of chess deserves to lose."

The way the machine, a character constructed almost solely through text on screen, does not round the probability of survival as it searches for options it just adds more zeroes--

gotta applaud person of interest for having a character who is essentially a prophet to an omniscient god, and yet is somehow not too overpowered. in fact, root is rather importantly limited in her power. in the sense that she doesn’t. you know. have the power to stop bullets

been really into person of interest lately it's a fun show. the main character is known as the man in a suit but even when people are looking for the man in a suit he somehow doesn't think about changing his outfits. he's like an anime character who always wears the same clothes. quality tv right here.
