drinking and smoking can kill me but so can love.
Instead of finding reasons to stay, all i can find are reasons to stay away.
If i die of heartbreak, well then at least i died for something beautiful.
If i die of heartbreak, well then at least i died for something beautiful.
You are the best and worst thing to ever happen to me. Worst because even if i knew exactly how it’ll end and how much it would hurt i would choose to do this over and over again if it means I get to love you at least one last time.
I stare at her, still processing what she said, “Are you actually leaving?” The wind was blowing silently but chilling enough to make me put on two layers. Her short, shoulder-length hair was blowing ever so slightly, some auburn strands sticking to her pink cheeks and thin lips. Her shoulders stiffened, then dropped as she sighed, her eyes dropping with her shoulders. I kicked a small rock into the pond we were staring at. The full moon stood over me, looking over me, praying for me. This was inevitable. I knew it was. That doesn’t make it less painful. She finally spoke, her voice but a mere whisper, the words disappearing into the night as she finished, “You want me gone.” Her statement surrounds me, echoing in my veins, haunting me. The pond ripples with small waves, my face contorting with it; ‘She is a part of you. She can’t live without you.’ My reflection gently coo’s. I can feel her eyes fixed on me, challenging me. My reflection warmly smiles as she extends her hand to me. Her eyes are inviting, comforting, beckoning. I don’t hesitate reaching to her. The cold water surrounds me instantaneously. My head is the last to go under and before I’m fully submerged, I see her slowly fade into nothing. She’s gone. I close my eyes and surrender to the relief.
- From the book that lives only in my mind.
I keep messing up. I feel like I’m failing you. But the way you look at me motivates me to do better. To be better for you.
I’m not religious but every night I thank god that I met you.
Even if you are the source of my pain, I still yearn for you. You will always be my solace, the place I feel the safest and calmest.
Why does the moon seem to call out your name? Why do the stars seem to imitate your essence? How are you so captivating that even you outshine the moon and the stars.
Love is the person you want when you’re upset; their presence alone is enough
Oh what a privilege it is to learn you little by little moment by moment
He was like a soft melody in the moonlight
Read millions of poetry but only you hit different
I don’t need you. No—needing you implies a lack of choice, that it’s simply out of necessity. I want you. Yes—wanting you means I’m making the conscious decision to love you; to purposely risk getting hurt.
Humans are the most beautiful when they cry. The need for perfection are in those tears, dissipating into nothing.
Am I full of love simply to love others or because I’ve never been loved.
