Twins interact with each other in the womb

The University of Padova recently discovered that twins are as close in the womb as they are outside of it. At 14 weeks of gestation, twins were seen reaching for each other. Four weeks later, twins in the womb touched each other more often than they touched their own bodies. The twins were gentle to each other and made distinct gestures toward each other. (Source)

My Sister is My Hero

When my twin sister and I were younger, she and I attended this cruel Evangelical Christian school, where students were frequently beaten with paddles, and encyclopedias were placed on our back as we bent over as a type of punishment. So, one day, I was in the bathroom playing in the sink with a friend (like 7-year-olds often do) when my teach caught me and my friend, and toted us back into the classroom for punishment.

While striking my friend on the rear with the paddle, the paddle broke...so my teacher had the leave the classroom to get a new paddle. I stood crying in anticipation of the punishment, BUT then my twin sister stood from her seat and quickly told me to sit... and she received the punishment for me.

Mind you, I'm not a troublemaker or anything (...and I've certainly saved her behind time and time again), but a similar situation occurred when I was playing in the hall with a guy friend when I was in sixth grade. After I'd been gone too long, she slipped into my seat when the teach wasn't looking, and said "she" had to hurry off to the bathroom after I'd returned from the bathroom. Meanwhile, I was playing pranks in the stairwell.

Obviously, my sister is a hero.
