This scene is possibly the best example of bringing fantasy to the screen. Because the books have a cool idea here - Windfinders use Power to control wind and sea while on the ship so their approach to Channeling is different. They can control much thicker flows of wind and for much longer time than even most skilled and knowledgeable Aes Sedai.
So how did they show it on the screen? Women dancing with the northern lights on the prow of the ship. Just letting it come to her and redirecting it slightly with the whole body. Spending as little force as possible.
It fits the narrative perfectly and the scene is a piece of art in itself.
